    Owner
    Joe received his bachelor’s degree from Immaculata University and is an Air Force Veteran of eight years, serving overseas in England. His professional life has been devoted to innovation and strategy within the technology realm; helping companies develop road maps to continuously drive improved programs and services.Joe is thrilled to provide The Goddard School’s outstanding program to the children and families in the Newark community. He and his wife, Stacey, are raising twins of their own and recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment, which is why they chose The Goddard School. He's also an active volunteer for DFRC, Delaware Foundation for Reaching Citizens with intellectual disabilities.

    Director
    Lisa is the school Director and has been working in early childhood education for over sixteen years. Prior to her role as Director, Lisa was the Assistant Director, Curriculum Coordinator and Pre-K teacher. Lisa graduated from Hiram College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. Lisa loves watching the children grow and develop from babies to big kids with unique personalities and opinions. In her spare time, Lisa enjoys hiking and camping with her son.

    Assistant Director, Quality and Compliance & Teacher
    Ms. Sindy is the Assistant Director of Quality and Compliance and the Lead Teacher in the First Steps classroom. Sindy has been working in early childhood education for over twelve years. She believes teachers who love teaching, will teach children to love learning. Sindy has 2 children; one in high school and one who just graduated from college! She enjoys spending time with her kids, family as well as listening to music and cleaning.

    Assistant Director, Curriculum Coordinator
    Ms. Ivory is the Assistant Director, Curriculum Coordinator. She has a Bachelor's degree in English and a Masters degree in Education from Wilmington University. She started at The Goddard School in February, 2013 as an Assistant in our Older Toddler Class and was promoted to the Infant Lead Teacher. Miss Ivory has two children, a daughter in middle school (who is a Goddard School grad) and a toddler son.

    Lead Teacher - Preschool
    Ms. Kelly is the Lead Teacher in the Preschool classroom. Ms. Kelly has her Elementary and Special Education bachelor's degree from West Chester University. She believes children learn best through play and experiences. Her goal is to "help children develop a life-long love of learning". In her spare time, Ms. Kelly enjoys reading, cooking and baking with her daughter. Her favorite children's books are Chicka Chicka Boom Boom, Where the Wild Things Are and anything by Dr. Seuss!

    As a teacher, May believes that each child is an individual. She values and develops each child's strengths, interest, skills and abilities. Her favorite children's book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See?". She also loves the Llama Llama series. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with family and listening to music.
