    As Co-Owner of The Goddard School in Farmington, I am thrilled to be surrounded by the laughter and enthusiastic personalities of young children everyday! My education is in Human Development and Family Studies, however, my experiences in corporate sales and operations management, took me in another direction, which ultimately has helped to prepare me to lead The Goddard School. It is important to me to create an environment where the needs of our children come first and where every parent and child who walks through our doors feels welcomed and valued. In my free time I enjoy being with my family, spending time outside, fall fairs and festivals and traveling! Welcome to The Goddard School Family!

At The Goddard School, our teachers nurture, inspire, and encourage our children to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. We strive to meet the needs of each student and help them to explore and grow beyond. It is our mission to foster a love for learning in each of our students. As an educator and Co-Owner of The Goddard School, this is an exciting opportunity for me as I join our families and faculty in providing the best possible early childhood environment filled with experiences that will help shape our young children for a bright, successful future in school and in life! On a personal note, my husband, Michael, and I are parents to Wyatt, Quinn and Stetson, all Goddard Graduates! I am committed to providing strong leadership and support for all of our teachers as well as a fun, loving, and safe “home away from home” for your children!

    My name is Miss Courtney and I am the Educational Director here at The Goddard School. I have worked in the Early Childhood field for just about 25 years in many positions from teaching in Infant and toddler programs to enrollment counselors. The last 5 years I have held Director positions. I hold a bachelor’s in business management from Albertus Magnus, however, have taken many courses in the ECE field to support my passion. I am so excited to join the Goddard Family. I love to support the faculty and families any way I can so we can continue together to maintain a high-quality program that ensures individual child support while offering challenging and engaging curriculum. In my free time, I spend time with my husband, four children and two dogs in Rocky Hill. They keep me busy and entertained! When I’m not supporting one of my children’s extracurricular activities, you can find me taking walks, going to the movies or hanging out by our pool. I love children’s literature, but one of my favorite stories is 'Today I feel Happy' by Jamie Lee-Curtis. It is a great story about self-identifying emotions and allowing ourselves to be in the moment.

    My name is Miss Alyssa and I am a Co-Director, along with Miss Courtney, here at The Goddard School. I have been working at The Goddard School since 2017 and have been lucky enough to work with children of all ages, in all different classrooms. I began in toddlers, moved to preschool, then PreK and am excited to now be in the office! I have one son, Holland, who attend Goddard and in my free time I enjoy shopping. My favorite children’s book is ‘Chicka Chicka Boom Boom’ and 'Brown Bear Brown Bear' both by Bill Martin Jr.

    My name is Miss Allison and I am a Lead Teacher & Opening Manager at The Goddard School. I have been working in the early childhood education field, specifically Pre-K since 2012. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of their commitment to providing a fun, safe, and positive learning environment for their students. I have my bachelor's degree in Elementary and Special Education and master's degree in Natural Science & Environmental Education. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities, primarily camping, kayaking, fishing, and hiking. I also love taking care of my 5 guinea pigs. My favorite children's book is 'Cora and the Elephants' by Lissa Rovetch.

    My name is Mr. Brandon and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have a bachelor’s degree in psychology. I have been working with children since 2016 as an Instructional Aid, Registered Behavioral Technician and Behavioral Therapist for elementary aged children. For me, teaching is about developing a relationship with the kiddos and their families that fosters a love for learning. In my free time, I like to go to the beach, play sports, and hang out with my two dogs. My favorite children’s book is “Salt in His Shoes” by Deloris Jordan. It is a story about Michael Jordan pursuing his dream as a basketball player.

    My name is Miss Brie and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. Since 2020, I have worked with kiddos of all ages. During the summers, I worked as a camp counselor and an animal caretaker at a local nature preserve. I chose to work with young children because I wanted to make a difference in a child’s day to day activities at the earliest age. In my free time, I enjoy hiking with my dog Flash. My favorite children’s book is ‘Oh the Places You’ll Go’ by Dr. Seuss.

    My name is Miss Denise and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have been working at The Goddard School since 2014 and during that time have enjoyed encouraging children to explore their world, while watching how they each discover their own way and love of learning! I choose to work at The Goddard School because I believe in helping each child maximize their learning through play. Young children are wonderful to work with because of the energy and excitement they bring into the classroom each day! I have my Child Development Associates Degree as well as my Head Teacher Certificate for the State of Connecticut. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, running, mountain biking and singing at my local church. My favorite children’s book is 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak.

    My name is Miss Diamond and I am a Lead Teacher in an Infant classroom. I am currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program and I’ve been working with toddlers since 2017. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I believe in encouraging children to have a love of learning through play. Toddlers have incredible imaginations and the potential to learn so much and I’m honored to be a part of their journey. I like to spend my free time with my family, shopping, and exploring new foods and restaurants. My favorite children’s book is ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See’ by Eric Carle.

    My name is Miss Diana and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have a bachelor’s degree in Pyschology. Before joining The Goddard School, I was a research assistant at Yale University. While working at Yale, I was a volunteer literacy tutor and helped elementary school children develop and expand their reading skills. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of their FLEX emergent curriculum that allows teachers to adapt activities to the students’ different needs. In my free time, I enjoy hiking, running, reading, and spending time with my friends and family. My favorite children’s book is ‘Matilda’ by Roald Dahl.

    My name is Miss Jamilla and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have a bachelor’s degree in Sociology. My past experience working with toddlers and infants includes being a nanny for 10 years. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of their dedication to a professional and organized working environment. I am also impressed with the enriching atmosphere the teachers provide for the students. When working with the infants, I am honored to be a part of such a crucial time in their development. In my free time, I enjoy roller skating and playing with my daughter! My favorite children’s book is ‘Chicka Chicka Boom Boom’ by Bill Martin Jr..

My prior experience working with children include working in an elementary school as a paraeducator for 3 years and then as a nanny for 5 years. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of their commitment to making learning fun. I enjoy spending time with my son in my free time. We enjoy taking road trips, spending time outdoors, reading books and movie nights. My favorite children’s literature is the ‘Junie B. Jones’ series by Barbara Park and I love to read ‘I Love You More’ by Laura Duksta to my son.

    My name is Miss Kathy and I am a Lead Teacher and Opening Manager at The Goddard School. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I truly love EVERYTHING Goddard! I agree with Goddard's philosophy on learning through play, their very high standards of cleanliness, and believe in the safe working environment that they provide. I have my master's degree in Elementary Education. I have worked in the early childhood field for quite some time, my most recent experience was with another Goddard School in New Jersey for the past 8 years where I was a Pre-K teacher and Assistant Director. In my free time I love playing with my dog, working on jigsaw puzzles (only 1000 pieces or higher), and organizing for friends and family. My favorite children’s books are the 'Piggie and the Elephant' books by Mo Willems...and any of the 'Old Lady who Swallowed..' books.

    My name is Miss Emily and I am a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School. I am currently enrolled in a program to get my associate degree in psychology. My past experiences working with children include being a lead teacher in a preschool classroom and infant classroom. I absolutely love working with kiddos of all ages and I admire how driven The Goddard School is to provide a safe and nurturing environment. In my free time, I love to write and spend time with my family. I also love to travel! My favorite children’s book is ‘The Wizard of Oz’ by Frank L Baum.

    My name is Miss Mary and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have been working with children since 2010 ranging in age from toddlers up to elementary. I absolutely love working with children as they truly bring joy to my days. I have my degree in Primary Education from Honduras. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of the way they care for and educate children. It is very apparent in the days here. In my free time I love to read books and listen to music. My favorite children's book is 'The Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

I have been working in the childcare field since 2010 and have worked with children from the Toddler age up to Preschool. In my free time I enjoy playing pool, going bowling, watching movies and going to new restaurants with friends. My favorite children’s book is 'Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See' by Bill Martin Jr. and 'Goodnight Moon' by Margaret Wise Brown.

    My name is Miss Shannon and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and have been working with children since 2004, specifically with toddlers and preschoolers since 2013. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of their team approach to teaching and the school’s commitment to keeping the families involved every step of the way. The early years of a child’s life are full of so much growth. It is very exciting to be a part of that experience. I like to spend time with my husband and our 3 cats during my free time. I also like to go shopping, visit with friends and ride horses! ‘The Very Hungry Caterpillar’ by Eric Carle is my favorite children’s book. I’m a huge fan of all things Eric Carle!

    My name is Miss Ariana and I am a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School. Before coming to The Goddard School, I facilitated an education program at a children’s museum for 7 years. I love how each child has a different personality and it is enjoyable to watch them grow and find themselves. In my free time, I like to spend time with my dogs and family. And I enjoy watching my boyfriend’s softball games with his daughter. My favorite children’s book is an oldie but goodie, ‘There was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Bat’ by Lucille Colandro.

    My name is Miss Tanya and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I enjoy being surrounded by the professional, intelligent, respectful and fun co-workers here! I enjoy working with toddlers because I love seeing their growth over the school year, watching my students learn and achieve is the ultimate prize for a teacher! I have completed two years of classes in Early Childhood Education and am currently working on my Child Development Associate's Degree. I have been working with children of this age for 33 years in a preschool setting and am extremely passionate about early childhood education! In my free time I love to be with my 3 grandchildren! I love to go to the beach in the summer with my family, traveling and sometimes even fishing with my husband. My favorite children’s book is 'Corduroy' by Don Freeman.

    My name is Miss Bonnie and I am a lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and a master degree in Reading and Language Arts. I taught in the public school system for over 30 years, primarily as a first grade teacher. I chose to work here because while I was researching different schools online, I was very impressed with The Goddard School’s faculty and the school’s philosophy in early childhood education. In my freetime, I love to walk and shop! My favorite children’s books are ‘Alexander and the No Good Very Bad Day’ by Judith Viorst and ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak.
