As Co-Owner of The Goddard School in Farmington, I feel truly honored to be surrounded each day by the laughter, curiosity, and vibrant personalities of young children. My academic background is in Human Development and Family Studies, and while my career began in corporate sales and operations management, those experiences have uniquely prepared me to lead with both heart and strategy. Creating a nurturing environment where children’s needs come first—and where every family feels welcomed and valued—is at the core of everything I do. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, attending fall fairs and festivals, and traveling. Welcome to The Goddard School family—we’re so glad you’re here!

The preschool years are a whirlwind of boundless energy filled with enthusiasm and endless curiosity! At The Goddard School, our teachers nurture, inspire, and encourage our children to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. We strive to meet the needs of each student and help them to explore and grow beyond. It is our mission to foster a love for learning in each of our students. As an educator and Co-Owner of The Goddard School, this is an exciting opportunity for me as I join our families and faculty in providing the best possible early childhood environment filled with experiences that will help shape our young children for a bright, successful future in school and in life! On a personal note, my husband, Michael, and I are parents to Wyatt, Quinn and Stetson, all Goddard Graduates! I am committed to providing strong leadership and support for all of our teachers as well as a fun, loving, and safe “home away from home” for your children!

My name is Miss Courtney and I am a Co-Director here at The Goddard School. I have worked in the Early Childhood field since 2000 and have held a Director position since 2010. I hold a bachelor’s in business management, however, have taken many courses in the ECE field to support my passion. I am so excited to be a part of the Goddard Family. I love to support the faculty and families any way I can so we can continue together to maintain a high-quality program that ensures individual child support while offering challenging and engaging curriculum. In my free time, you will find me with my husband, four children and two dogs. When I’m not supporting one of my children’s extracurricular activities, you can find me taking walks, going to the movies or hanging out by our pool. I love children’s literature, but one of my favorite stories is 'Today I feel Happy' by Jamie Lee-Curtis. It is a great story about self-identifying emotions and allowing ourselves to be in the moment.

My name is Miss Alyssa, and I am proud to serve as Co-Director here at The Goddard School. I have been part of the Goddard family since 2017 and have had the joy of working with children of all ages across various classrooms. I began my journey in the toddler classroom, transitioned to preschool, then Pre-K, and I’m now thrilled to support our school community from the office! I hold a career diploma in Business Management, and I am also a proud Goddard parent—my son, Holland, attends our school. In my free time, I love spending time with my family and going shopping. My favorite children’s books are Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr.—classics that bring so much joy and learning to little ones.

My name is Miss Amber, and I am the Assistant Director at The Goddard School. I hold an Associate Degree and bring over 14 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. I truly love watching children reach important milestones and grow through the many stages of development—it is incredibly rewarding to be part of their learning journey. I chose to work at The Goddard School because children, families, and staff are genuinely valued, and learning is implemented in beautiful and meaningful ways. Outside of work, I enjoy spending quality time with my son, who is a former Goddard graduate, and my mom. In my free time, I like playing solitaire and critical-thinking games. My favorite children’s book is No, David by David Shannon.

My name is Miss Denise, and I’m a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I’ve been part of the Goddard family since 2014 and love encouraging children to explore their world and discover their own love of learning. I believe in helping each child grow through play, and I’m inspired daily by the energy and excitement young children bring into the classroom. I hold a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential and a Head Teacher Certificate for the State of Connecticut. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, running, mountain biking, and singing at my local church. My favorite children’s book is Where the Wild Things Are by Maurice Sendak.

My name is Miss Kaila, and I’m proud to be a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. With over 8 years of hands-on experience nurturing young minds, three years as a paraeducator in an elementary school and five years as a dedicated nanny, I bring a deep passion for early childhood education to my classroom every day. I chose The Goddard School because of its inspiring commitment to making learning a joyful and meaningful experience. I believe that when children are having fun, they’re truly thriving—and that’s exactly the kind of environment I strive to create. Outside of the classroom, I cherish every moment spent with my son. I hold a degree in Primary Education from Honduras, and I chose to join The Goddard School because of its heartfelt commitment to nurturing and educating children. In my free time, I enjoy reading and listening to music, activities that help me relax and recharge. My name is Miss Tanya, I’m a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I’ve had the joy of working in ECE, watching children grow, learn, and thrive for many years. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of the incredible team, professional, intelligent, respectful, and fun! Surrounding myself with passionate educators makes every day fulfilling. I’m deeply passionate about supporting young learners and find great reward in witnessing their milestones. Outside of the classroom, I love spending time with my grandchildren. Beach trips, traveling, and even the occasional fishing adventure with my husband are some of my favorite ways to unwind. My name is Miss Malia, and I’m a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I’ve been working with children since 2023 and absolutely love being part of their early learning journey. I chose to work at The Goddard School because it allows me to fulfill my dream of teaching young children in a nurturing and playful environment. Watching their curiosity grow and their personalities shine is truly rewarding. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with my loved ones—including my dog, Chomper! I also love playing video games and board games, which keep things fun and interactive. One of my favorite children’s books is There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly—a silly and imaginative story that always brings laughter and joy.

My name is Miss Bruna, and I’m a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I’ve been working in ECE field since 2024, but my passion for child development truly began in 2022 when I became a mother. That experience sparked a deep love for nurturing young minds and inspired me to grow both as a caregiver and an educator. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I value a supportive, growth-oriented environment, one that encourages both professional development and meaningful connections with children. In my free time, I enjoy organizing, spending time with my family, playing with my son, and crocheting. My name is Miss Crystal and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Education and a Bachelor's in English Literature, and I've been an educator for over 12 years. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I fell in love with the classrooms and the school’s commitment to encouraging both teachers and students to explore their creative potential through intrigue, wonder, and curiosity. I especially enjoy working with preschoolers because of their expressiveness and imagination. Outside of the classroom, I’m a writer and a professional watercolor artist. I'm currently preparing for my second solo art exhibition and working on a preschool storybook I hope to publish—my second one! My favorite children’s book is The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton.

My name is Miss Darlissa and I am a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School. I have prior experience working in preschools during the summer months and completed a two-year internship at an elementary school. I love working with children of all ages and is passionate about supporting their growth and development. The Goddard School was a perfect choice for me because it allows me to make a meaningful impact in such a nurturing environment. My name is Miss Jazmyn and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I'm currently pursuing a degree in Social Work and have prior experience babysitting and working at a summer camp with preschoolers. Working with young children brings me happiness—I love being part of their growth and development. After college, I plan to become a social worker, and working at The Goddard School gives me valuable experiences that support that goal. In my free time, I enjoy going to the gym, coaching a softball team, listening to music, and relaxing. My favorite children’s book is One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish by Dr. Seuss, which always brings smiles and fun to story time.

My name is Miss Jazmariah and I am an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School. I have been working with preschoolers in a classroom setting since 2024. I chose to work with toddlers and preschoolers because I love watching their unique personalities flourish, and I knew The Goddard School was the perfect place to support that growth. In my free time, I enjoy getting my nails done and caring for my younger sister. My favorite children’s book is Silverlicious by Victoria Kann, which reflects a love of imagination and creativity.

My name is Miss Jailexlene and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I am currently attending college to earn my degree in Social Work and have been working with toddlers and preschoolers since 2022. I chose The Goddard School because I saw a place dedicated to caring for and nurturing children of all ages, and I knew it would be a wonderful fit for my daughter as well! I love working with young children and being part of their growth and learning journey. In my free time, I enjoy watching TV and playing with my daughter. My favorite children’s book is Click, Clack, Moo: Cows That Type by Doreen Cronin—a fun and clever story that always makes kids laugh.

My name is Miss Kaylen and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I hold degrees in Business Administration and Early Childhood Education. I have worked with toddlers and preschoolers in a preschool setting since 2022 and was a nanny for four years prior to that. I chose The Goddard School because its philosophy aligns with my core values and beliefs about nurturing infants, toddlers, and preschoolers. I especially enjoy working with infants because I love being part of their developmental journey and watching them grow each day. In my free time, I enjoy cooking, going to the gym, creating balloon garlands, and spending time with friends. My favorite children’s book is A Bad Case of Stripes by David Shannon—a colorful story that celebrates individuality and self-acceptance.

My name is Miss Natalia and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I hold an Associate’s degree and am currently finishing my degree in Psychology. I have been working in early childhood education since 2021, and I absolutely love it because it allows me to be my most authentic self. I chose The Goddard School because of its amazing reputation and commitment to quality care and education. I enjoy working with toddlers because I believe they are the best age group to observe as they learn and grow—it’s such an exciting stage of development! In my free time, I love getting creative through writing, drawing, painting, and pottery. I also enjoy spending time at home with my animals or going on adventures and outings with my boyfriend. My favorite children’s book is Big Smelly Bear by Britta Teckentrup—a sweet and playful story that always brings smiles.

My name is Miss Bonnie and I am a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School. I hold a degree in Early Childhood Education and have been working with toddlers and preschoolers in various settings since 2019. I chose to work at The Goddard School because its beautiful environment, strong curriculum, and commitment to being more than just a daycare truly impressed me. The warm and inviting directors and faculty made me feel right at home. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family, going on vacations, reading, coloring, and playing hockey. My favorite children’s book is If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff—a fun and timeless story that sparks imagination and laughter.

My name is Miss Serina, and I am a Co-Lead Teacher in the Preschool classroom at The Goddard School. I studied Early Childhood Education and have been working in the field for over five years, gaining experience with children of many different ages. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I love play-based learning and believe in the importance of social-emotional development during the early years. I enjoy creating a positive, nurturing classroom environment where children feel safe, confident, and excited to learn. My name is Miss Alexa, and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I hold a BFA in Illustration with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies. I have been working with children for 3 years. Working with preschoolers inspires me every day—their creativity, imagination, and the unique way they see the world always surprises me. In my free time, I love painting and illustrating, spending time in nature, gardening, and going on picnics. I am currently working on my own children’s books! My favorite children’s books are Zen Shorts, The Very Hungry Caterpillar, The English Roses, and Fancy Nancy.

My name is Miss Neeva, and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. My love for children began 11 years ago when my niece was born. I have been working in childcare for 3 years. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I believe that making a positive impact at a young age can change a child’s life. It is rewarding to be part of their development and help create a strong foundation for their future. In my free time, I enjoy painting, trying new restaurants, being in and around nature, biking, and watching movies. My favorite children’s books are Pete the Cat: I Love My White Shoes and Llama Llama Red Pajama.

My name is Miss Shania, and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I am currently in school pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. I took Child Development in high school, worked as a caregiver for 2 years, and worked for 3 years supporting children with special needs. Working with children is something I am truly passionate about, and I love being part of an environment where their learning and growth can thrive. I chose The Goddard School because of its amazing atmosphere and commitment to providing a strong foundation for children’s education. In my free time, I enjoy reading and writing, going to Six Flags, and spending time at the beach. One of my favorite children’s books is "Cherries and Cherry Pits" by Vera B. Williams.

My name is Miss Jocelyn, and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have a Bachelor of Arts degree in Childhood Education. I have been working with children for 7 years and have been in the ECE field for 1 year. I thrive helping young children learn, grow, and develop new skills. I’ve been working in the childcare field since 2021, and I’m currently pursuing my goal of becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN). My passion for nurturing and educating young children is what led me to The Goddard School, where I found the perfect balance between structured curriculum and fun, engaging activities. The warm, welcoming environment and the enthusiasm of the teaching staff make it a truly special place to be. Outside of the classroom, I love spending quality time with my daughter. I have my Associates Degree in General Studies and have worked with toddlers for three years and preschool-aged children for four years. I also gained valuable experience working at a sleepaway camp doing nature walks. Caring for children comes naturally to me, and I truly enjoy supporting their growth and development. My name is Miss Carmen, and I’m a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have been working with children for five years. I hold a degree in Elementary Education and have always enjoyed creating positive and engaging experiences where children can learn, grow, and feel supported. I chose to join The Goddard School because I love how welcoming and energetic everyone is. I also appreciate the clean and organized environment, which helps create a warm and inviting space for both children and families. Outside of the classroom, cheerleading has been a big part of my life since I was a child. I participated in All Star Cheer and hope to find an opportunity to coach cheerleading in my free time.
