    As Co-Owner of The Goddard School in Farmington, I am thrilled to be surrounded by the laughter and enthusiastic personalities of young children everyday! My education is in Human Development and Family Studies, however, my experiences in corporate sales and operations management, took me in another direction, which ultimately has helped to prepare me to lead The Goddard School. It is important to me to create an environment where the needs of our children come first and where every parent and child who walks through our doors feels welcomed and valued. In my free time I enjoy being with my family, spending time outside, fall fairs and festivals and traveling! Welcome to The Goddard School Family!

At The Goddard School, our teachers nurture, inspire, and encourage our children to grow intellectually, socially, emotionally, and physically. We strive to meet the needs of each student and help them to explore and grow beyond. It is our mission to foster a love for learning in each of our students. As an educator and Co-Owner of The Goddard School, this is an exciting opportunity for me as I join our families and faculty in providing the best possible early childhood environment filled with experiences that will help shape our young children for a bright, successful future in school and in life! On a personal note, my husband, Michael, and I are parents to Wyatt, Quinn and Stetson, all Goddard Graduates! I am committed to providing strong leadership and support for all of our teachers as well as a fun, loving, and safe “home away from home” for your children!

    My name is Miss Courtney and I am a Co-Director here at The Goddard School. I have worked in the Early Childhood field since 2000 and have held a Director position since 2010. I hold a bachelor’s in business management, however, have taken many courses in the ECE field to support my passion. I am so excited to be a part of the Goddard Family. I love to support the faculty and families any way I can so we can continue together to maintain a high-quality program that ensures individual child support while offering challenging and engaging curriculum. In my free time, you will find me with my husband, four children and two dogs. When I’m not supporting one of my children’s extracurricular activities, you can find me taking walks, going to the movies or hanging out by our pool. I love children’s literature, but one of my favorite stories is 'Today I feel Happy' by Jamie Lee-Curtis. It is a great story about self-identifying emotions and allowing ourselves to be in the moment.

    My name is Miss Alyssa, and I am proud to serve as Co-Director here at The Goddard School. I have been part of the Goddard family since 2017 and have had the joy of working with children of all ages across various classrooms. I began my journey in the toddler classroom, transitioned to preschool, then Pre-K, and I’m now thrilled to support our school community from the office! I hold a career diploma in Business Management, and I am also a proud Goddard parent—my son, Holland, attends our school. In my free time, I love spending time with my family and going shopping. My favorite children’s books are Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See? by Bill Martin Jr.—classics that bring so much joy and learning to little ones.

    My name is Miss Kathy and I am a Lead Teacher and Opening Manager at The Goddard School. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I truly love EVERYTHING Goddard! I agree with Goddard's philosophy on learning through play, their very high standards of cleanliness, and believe in the safe working environment that they provide. I have my master's degree in Elementary Education. I have worked in the early childhood field for quite some time, my most recent experience was with another Goddard School in New Jersey for the past 8 years where I was a Pre-K teacher and Assistant Director. In my free time I love playing with my dog, working on jigsaw puzzles (only 1000 pieces or higher), and organizing for friends and family. My favorite children’s books are the 'Piggie and the Elephant' books by Mo Willems...and any of the 'Old Lady who Swallowed..' books.

    My name is Miss Denise and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have been working at The Goddard School since 2014 and during that time have enjoyed encouraging children to explore their world, while watching how they each discover their own way and love of learning! I choose to work at The Goddard School because I believe in helping each child maximize their learning through play. Young children are wonderful to work with because of the energy and excitement they bring into the classroom each day! I have my Child Development Associates Degree as well as my Head Teacher Certificate for the State of Connecticut. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, running, mountain biking and singing at my local church. My favorite children’s book is 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak.

    My name is Miss Diamond and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I am currently enrolled in an Early Childhood Education program and I’ve been working with toddlers since 2017. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I believe in encouraging children to have a love of learning through play. Children at this age have incredible imaginations and the potential to learn so much and I’m honored to be a part of their journey. I like to spend my free time with my family, shopping, and exploring new foods and restaurants. My favorite children’s book is ‘Brown Bear, Brown Bear What Do You See’ by Eric Carle.

    My name is Miss Kaila and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. My prior experience working with children include working in an elementary school as a paraeducator for 3 years and then as a nanny for 5 years. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of their commitment to making learning fun. I enjoy spending time with my son in my free time. We enjoy taking road trips, spending time outdoors, reading books and movie nights. My favorite children’s literature is the ‘Junie B. Jones’ series by Barbara Park and I love to read ‘I Love You More’ by Laura Duksta to my son.

    My name is Miss Mary and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I have been working with children since 2010 ranging in age from toddlers up to elementary. I absolutely love working with children as they truly bring joy to my days. I have my degree in Primary Education from Honduras. I chose to work at The Goddard School because of the way they care for and educate children. It is very apparent in the days here. In my free time I love to read books and listen to music. My favorite children's book is 'The Little Prince’ by Antoine de Saint-Exupery.

    My name is Miss Olivia and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I am currently working towards becoming an LPN and I have worked in the childcare field since 2021. I chose to work at The Goddard School because there is a great balance of following a curriculum while including fun and engaging activities. Also because of the warm environment. The teachers are passionate and happy to be here! In my free time, I love spending time with my daughter, hiking, swimming and other outdoor activities. I also enjoy painting, reading and writing. My favorite children’s books are ‘The Princess and the Pea’ by Hans Christen Andersen and ‘Goodnight Moon’ by Margaret Wise Brown.

    My name is Miss Tanya and I am a Lead Teacher at The Goddard School. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I enjoy being surrounded by the professional, intelligent, respectful and fun co-workers here! I enjoy working with toddlers because I love seeing their growth over the school year, watching my students learn and achieve is the ultimate prize for a teacher! I have completed two years of classes in Early Childhood Education and am currently working on my Child Development Associate's Degree. I have been working with children of this age for 33 years in a preschool setting and am extremely passionate about early childhood education! In my free time I love to be with my 3 grandchildren! I love to go to the beach in the summer with my family, traveling and sometimes even fishing with my husband. My favorite children’s book is 'Corduroy' by Don Freeman.

I chose to work at The Goddard School because of their play-based learning approach and their mission statement aligns with many of my viewpoints on teaching. I love working in early childhood because not only do I find their development to be fascinating, but I love finding new ways to encourage and challenge their learning. In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son, working out and traveling. My favorite children's books are any Eric Carle books and 'If you Give a Mouse a Cookie' by Laura Joffe Numeroff.

I love that it provides me with an opportunity to seek even more of an understanding of my future field in a professional and creative setting. I have been working with children since 2020 in a variety of different capacities. In my free time I love to play tennis and pickleball or go to the gym. I also enjoy relaxing at home watching some of my favorite shows! My favorite children's book is 'Corduroy' written by Don Freeman.

    My name is Miss Bonnie and I am a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School. I have a bachelor degree in Elementary Education and a master degree in Reading and Language Arts. I taught in the public school system for over 30 years, primarily as a first grade teacher. I chose to work here because while I was researching different schools online, I was very impressed with The Goddard School’s faculty and the school’s philosophy in early childhood education. In my freetime, I love to walk and shop! My favorite children’s books are ‘Alexander and the No Good Very Bad Day’ by Judith Viorst and ‘Where the Wild Things Are’ by Maurice Sendak.

I have my bachelor's degree in English with a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from UCONN. In my free time I enjoy creating art! I am currently really enjoying painting and knitting. My favorite children's book is ' It's ok to be different'. A book I grew up with which teaches important values like acceptance, equality, and equity.

I chose to rejoin the faculty at The Goddard School because after teaching in both private and public school because I missed The Goddard School! It is the best school I've ever worked at and I am proud to be a part of what Goddard does! My degree is in Art Education, and I have worked with children since 2006 in multiple capacities. In my free time I am an oil painter! I specialize in portraits of people and animals. My favorite children's book is 'Where the Wild Things Are' by Maurice Sendak.

I am so excited to be a part of The Goddard School, where everyone is so warm and welcoming! I share the same educational philosophy as The Goddard School and believe that play is crucial to a child's development. I have a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Psychology. In my spare time I enjoy spending time with my family, friends and dog (Harley)! I also love watching movies and going out to eat with friends! My favorite children's book is 'Grumpy Bird' by Jearemy Tankard.

Teaching is truly rewarding for me—I love helping children learn and grow every day. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy crafting, reading, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. My favorite children's books are Goodnight Moon by Margaret Wise Brown and The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister, as both share beautiful messages that inspire young minds.

    My name is Miss Olivia E and I am a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School! My passion for working with children began in high school when I babysat for a family with three energetic boys. I chose The Goddard School because of its strong reputation and positive reviews, and I knew it would be the perfect place for me to help nurture and support young learners. Outside the classroom, I love watching movies, coloring, hiking, and spending time with animals. I find so much joy in fostering creativity and exploration, both in nature and in my interactions with students. Since then, I have had the opportunity to grow not only as a caregiver but also as an early childhood educator. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I am looking for opportunities for professional growth and value a healthy supportive work environment. I decided to work with children because, after becoming a mother, I discovered not only a passion but also a natural talent for caring for and teaching these little humans. In my free time I enjoy keeping my home organized, spending quality time with my family and playing with my son. I also enjoy peaceful moments crocheting. My previous positions include being a Preschool Teacher, Public School Substitute Teacher, Paraprofessional and Internships in the educational field. I have my Bachelor's degree in sociology and hold my master's degree in early childhood. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I have heard such wonderful things and high praises about The Goddard School and I love the age group they serve. In my free time I enjoy spending my time singing, playing instruments, as well as working out and going to explore new places. My favorite children’s book is hard to choose because I love them all!

    My name is Mr. Thomas and I am a Summer Camp Counselor at The Goddard School. My prior experience working with children include working alongside my grandmother at her Preschool and while College is in session, I work as an assistant teacher at the Wheaton College Early Education Center. I chose to work at The Goddard School because it is a beautiful facility right in my hometown, so it was a perfect choice! I have always loved working with children and am so happy I get to do it here at The Goddard School! In my free time I enjoy reading and also enjoy creative writing. I am also learning how to roller-skate. My favorite children’s book is 'The Little Engine that Could'.

I have been working with children of all ages since 2007 in a variety of areas, including the early childhood setting as well as working with children with special needs and being a nanny. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I wanted to incorporate my versatile experiences and have the ability to work with a great team to impact the lives of children within our school! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my son, spending time outside in the nice weather and traveling with my family. I am also a big football fan! My favorite children's book is 'Goodnight Lagoon' by Lisa Ann Scott.

    My name is Miss Nina and I am an Office Assistant at The Goddard School. I have been working children in an early childhood education setting since 2023 and including teaching art workshops for children's birthday parties. I found it so rewarding to watch the little ones learn and create their own projects. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I believe learning through play is so important for a child's development and I wanted to work in a school where the curriculum supports that! In my free time I enjoy hiking, shopping, photography, jewelry making and spending time with my friends, family and pets. My favorite children’s book is 'The Little Engine that Could' by Watty Piper.

    My name is Miss Niy and I am a Resource Teacher at The Goddard School. I have been working children in an early childhood education setting since 2022, and also received my child development certificate through a program offered in my school. I chose to work at The Goddard School because I wanted to expand my knowledge in the field, and I knew I would have great support here! In my free time I enjoy spending time with my nieces and nephews, and I also enjoy shopping. My favorite children’s book is 'Pete the Cat, My White Shoes'.
