Ms Mary Sue, Owner Ms. Mary Sue as onsite owner is proud to bring the Goddard School to Lakeville and the surrounding communities. She has a degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from St. Catherine University. Before opening the Goddard School in the fall of 2015, she was the Associate Dean of College Counseling at Providence Academy in Plymouth and before that was Associate Director of Admissions at St. Catherine University. She is a mother to three spirited children all who attend our school. Mary Sue and her family can be seen at the park, enjoying Twins games in the summer and enjoying time with family at the cabin.

Ms Catherine, Director Prior to joining us in Lakeville, Ms. Catherine worked for 4 years at the Goddard School in Plymouth. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education from North Dakota State University and has worked in early childhood education for the past 8 years. She has seen firsthand the power of a play based curriculum at work in her five years at Goddard. Her experience and passion for children is evident to all she meets and she loves bringing on and helping new staff to grow as the Goddard School grows. When not at school Catherine can be found hiking, crafting or in the kitchen cooking and baking.

Ms Katie, Assistant Director Ms. Katie has over seven years of experience working with children. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a focus on pre-primary ages and has her teaching license in the state of Minnesota. She believes that young children deserve the best start to their education and feels children can grow and learn best when feeling safe and loved.

Ms. Katie’s favorite children's book is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle.

Ms Shannon, Lead Teacher Ms. Shannon has over 25 years of early childhood experience including 20 years running her own home based program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota. She believes that continual love and support help our children grow into lifelong learners. Outside of school she enjoys playing Volleyball, scrapbooking and spending time with her children. She is excited to bring her experience to work with the families at the Goddard School.

Ms Jenna , Lead Teacher Ms. Jenna has spent the last six years working with infants through school aged children, including serving as an infant teacher at a Goddard School near Chicago. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Care and Development from Roosevelt University in Illinois. Jenna believes that children learn best through thoughtful play and that each child learns and develops in their own unique way. She is excited to be part of the Goddard team in setting children on the path to be lifelong learners. When not at school, Jenna loves riding her bike, watching movies and spending time with family and friends.

Ms Courtney, Lead Teacher Ms. Courtney is working with our infant and toddler program and has always loved working with children. Her love for early education started as a volunteer in her church community. Courtney believes that children deserve a loving and safe environment to learn, explore and grow. When not at school she loves all things outdoors and can often be found exploring the area with her family.

Ms. Courtney’s favorite children's book is "Chika Chika Boom Boom” by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault.

Ms Emma, Lead Teacher Ms. Emma holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Health and Public Policy. She has been working as an early toddler teacher for the past year and is excited to join the Goddard team. Emma believes that every child is unique and should have the tools and recourses for success. Outside of school she loves spending time with her son and being outdoors.

Ms Kathleen, Lead Teacher Ms. Kathleen has over 10 years of early childhood experience including experience as a preschool director and infant and toddler teacher. She has her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies. Ms. Kathleen believes that each child is unique and should be given support to thrive in their own way. Outside of school Kathleen is busy spending time with her two young children.

Ms Aubrey, Lead Teacher Ms. Aubrey recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a preprimary focus. She has over five years of experience working with young children in a variety of settings, including Elementary school Math and Language Arts specialist, traditional 4th grade classroom setting and substitute teaching. Aubrey believes that students are life long learners and that the mission at The Goddard school sets them on that path. When not at school, Aubrey loves to run with her golden retriever and spend time knitting and crocheting.

Ms Allyssa, Lead Teacher Ms. Allyssa holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Photography and Graphic Design along with a Certificate in Early Childhood Development Education. She has been working as a preschool teacher for the past two years and is excited to join the Goddard team. Allyssa believes that every child deserves to have a favorite teacher that has a lasting impact.

Ms Megan, Lead Teacher Ms. Megan holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Wisconsin Eau Claire in Unified Early Childhood. This unique program combines both early childhood and special education disciplines. Prior to relocating to the Lakeville area, while completing her degree, she worked in a variety of preschool settings educating toddlers up to 3rd grade. Megan believes that all children should feel safe to explore and take risk in order to grow and learn. Nowhere is that more important then in our toddler program. When not at school you can find Megan spending time with her family and friends, watching Netflix and planning her upcoming wedding.

Ms Coty, Lead Teacher Ms. Coty has over five years of experience working with children. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from the University of North Dakota and a teaching license from both Minnesota and North Dakota. She believes that young children deserve a loving hand, a funny face and joyful classroom. When not at Goddard, Coty enjoys spending time cheering on UND hockey or watching movies.

Ms Abigail, Lead Teacher Ms. Abigail recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Minnesota State University. She has over five years of experience working with young children in a variety of settings, including personal care, private nanny and traditional preschool settings. Abigail believes that all children are capable of learning and thrive best with a caring and nurturing environment. When not at The Goddard School, Abigail can be found spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.

Ms Ashley, Assistant Teacher Ms. Ashley has spent the last six years working with children including serving as a private nanny and working with children on the Autism Spectrum. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Wisconsin- River Falls. Ashley believes that each child can learn once we can help them learn their own way. When not at school, Ashley loves camping and hiking with her fiancé and their beagle as well as crafting with her mother.

Ms Sam , Assistant Teacher Ms. Sam has over 5 years of experience in early childhood education working as a private nanny, vacation bible school counselor and in a traditional preschool setting. She believes that each child can thrive when they are given support and encouragement. You will find her working primarily in our toddler and early preschool program. Outside of school she enjoys listening to music, reading and cheering for the Vikings.

Ms Samantha , Assistant Teacher Ms. Samantha has over 7 years of experience in early childhood education working as a private nanny, children’s dance instructor and in a traditional preschool setting. She believes that each child can thrive when they are given support and encouragement. You will find her working primarily in our early toddler and infant program. Outside of school she enjoys spending time with her family outdoors.

Ms Akhila, Assistant Teacher Ms. Akhila is working with our preschool program and has always loved working with children. She has a master’s degree in biochemistry and 3 years of experience in early childhood education. She is the mother to a very active son and loves to explore new places with her family. Akhila believes that children need a positive environment to help set a foundation for future success.

Ms Ashley , Assistant Teacher Ms. Ashley began working with children in her high school child development center. She fell in love with their energy and their love of learning. She believes that children can accomplish anything with the right support from the adults around them. When not at school, Ashley can be found painting, riding her bike and exploring new places.

Ms Maura, Assistant Teacher Ms. Maura has 4+ years of experience working with children. Her experience started working with Before and After School care with the YMCA prior to joining our toddler program. Maura believes that all children deserve fair treatment and a respectful environment to allow them to learn and grow. When not at school Maura can be found hiking and spending time with her dog, Monty.

Ms Zoe , Assistant Teacher Ms. Zoe is currently pursuing her degree in child psychology. She began working with children in her high school child development center. Zoe believes that children have huge imaginations and learning thru play is the best way to harness their energy. When not at school Zoe can be found dancing or enjoying the outdoors.
