Ms Mary Sue, Owner Ms. Mary Sue as onsite owner is proud to bring the Goddard School to Lakeville and the surrounding communities. She has a degree in Education from the University of St. Thomas and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from St. Catherine University. Before opening the Goddard School in the fall of 2015, she was the Associate Dean of College Counseling at Providence Academy in Plymouth and before that was Associate Director of Admissions at St. Catherine University. She is a mother to three spirited children all who attend our school. Mary Sue and her family can be seen at the park, enjoying Twins games in the summer and enjoying time with family at the cabin.

Ms Catherine, Director Prior to joining us in Lakeville, Ms. Catherine worked for 4 years at the Goddard School in Plymouth. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education from North Dakota State University and has worked in early childhood education for the past 8 years. She has seen firsthand the power of a play based curriculum at work in her five years at Goddard. Her experience and passion for children is evident to all she meets and she loves bringing on and helping new staff to grow as the Goddard School grows. When not at school Catherine can be found hiking, crafting or in the kitchen cooking and baking.

Ms Katie, Assistant Director Ms. Katie has over seven years of experience working with children. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a focus on pre-primary ages and has her teaching license in the state of Minnesota. She believes that young children deserve the best start to their education and feels children can grow and learn best when feeling safe and loved.

Ms. Katie’s favorite children's book is “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” by Eric Carle.

Ms Kathleen, Lead Teacher Ms. Kathleen has over 10 years of early childhood experience including experience as a preschool director and infant and toddler teacher. She has her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies. Ms. Kathleen believes that each child is unique and should be given support to thrive in their own way. Outside of school Kathleen is busy spending time with her two young children.

Ms Shannon, Lead Teacher Ms. Shannon has over 25 years of early childhood experience including 20 years running her own home based program. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota. She believes that continual love and support help our children grow into lifelong learners. Outside of school she enjoys playing Volleyball, scrapbooking and spending time with her children. She is excited to bring her experience to work with the families at the Goddard School.

Ms Courtney, Lead Teacher Ms. Courtney has been working with our toddler program for the past three years. Her love for early education started as a volunteer in her church community. Courtney believes that children deserve a loving and safe environment to learn, explore and grow. When not at school she loves all things outdoors and can often be found exploring the area with her family.

Ms. Courtney’s favorite children's book is "Chika Chika Boom Boom” by Bill Martin Jr. and John Archambault.

Ms Maura, Lead Teacher Ms. Maura has 4+ years of experience working with children. Her experience started working with Before and After School care with the YMCA prior to joining our toddler program. Maura believes that all children deserve fair treatment and a respectful environment to allow them to learn and grow. When not at school Maura can be found hiking and spending time with her dog, Monty.

Ms Kirsten , Lead Teacher Ms. Kirsten attended Minnesota State University Mankato and holds a degree in Elementary Education. She has been working with children for over eight years as a special education paraprofessional and in a traditional elementary setting. She believes that all children need to feel safe and loved. When not at Goddard, she can be found spending time with her husband Josh and daughter Leah.

Ms Jennifer, Lead Teacher Ms. Jenny has over 15 years of education experience and has completed her Master's Degree in Special Education. She has worked in a variety of settings with children all the way from preschool thru high school. She believes that all children can learn with the right support and environment. Jenny is the mother to four active boys and when not at school she can be found knitting or reading a good book.

Ms. Jenny's favorite children's book is "Mike Mulligan and His Steam Shovel" by Virginia Lee Burton.

Ms Kelsey , Lead Teacher Ms. Kelsey is working with our Pre-K program and has always been passionate about teaching and caring for children. She has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Early childhood education. She has been working with children for over 8 years and believes children are curious beings that love to learn through independent exploration. When not teaching, she loves spending time with her family, friends, and her dog, Bella.

Ms Abigail, Lead Teacher Ms. Abigail recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education at Minnesota State University. She has over five years of experience working with young children in a variety of settings, including personal care, private nanny and traditional preschool settings. Abigail believes that all children are capable of learning and thrive best with a caring and nurturing environment. When not at The Goddard School, Abigail can be found spending time with her family and enjoying the outdoors.

Ms Baylee, Lead Teacher Ms. Baylee has over 5 years of experience with children working as a private nanny. She is currenty working as an assistant teacher with our Pre-Kindergarten program. Baylee believes that children grow and learn every single day and need a safe and nurturing environment to do so. When not at school, Baylee can be found drinking coffee, swimming and spending time with her family.

Ms Shaelyn, Lead Teacher Ms. Shaelyn graduated from Brigham Young University with a Bachelors’ degree in Communication Disorders. She has worked with children for over four years most recently as a special education assistant in an elementary school. She believes that each child deserves to learn in a safe environment where they can explore their interests and have positive, meaningful social interactions. When not at Goddard, she enjoys hiking, playing pickle ball and decoration cakes!

Ms Ashley, Assistant Teacher Ms. Ashley has spent the last six years working with children including serving as a private nanny and working with children on the Autism Spectrum. She holds a bachelor’s degree in communication Sciences and Disorders from University of Wisconsin- River Falls. Ashley believes that each child can learn once we can help them learn their own way. When not at school, Ashley loves camping and hiking with her fiancé and their beagle as well as crafting with her mother.

Ms Dakota, Assistant Teacher Ms. Dakota has over 5 years of experience in early childhood education working as a nanny, horsing riding instructor and in a traditional preschool setting. She believes that each child deserves an environment that is nurturing to their imagination and development. You will find her working primarily in our toddler and early preschool program. Outside of school she enjoys riding horse, reading and spending time with her family.

Ms Jade , Assistant Teacher Ms. Jade began working with children as a camp counselor. This experience sparked her passion for education where she went on to work in a traditional preschool setting prior to joining the Goddard School team. Jade believes that each child is unique and has his or her own way of learning. Jade loves animals and when not at school she can be found spending time with her two lizards, two dogs, her horse and fish.

Kailtyn, Assistant Teacher
Ms. Kaitlyn is currently attending the University of River Falls studying Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education. Kaitlyn has been working with children for over 5 years now in both and classroom and camp setting. When not at Goddard she enjoys playing volleyball, crafting and hanging out with her family and friends.
