Ms Sarah, Owner Sarah is the on-site owner of The Goddard School located in Reading and manages the operation of the school so Cheryl can focus entirely on the children, curriculum and teachers. She brings thirty years of professional management experience to running the school. "I am passionate about giving every child the opportunity of developing a healthy self esteem and to promoting the joy of being a child.”

Ms Cheryl, Director As the Program Director, Cheryl brings over forty years of experience, a BA in Psychology, and a master's degree in child development and early childhood education to The Goddard School in Reading. Cheryl has been with The Goddard School since their opening in January of 2010. Her classroom experience has been with toddlers, preschoolers and school age children. Her passion for learning is evident in everything she does. Cheryl believes that children are free spirits who are eager participants in their own learning. Cheryl and her husband, Paul, are parents to two grown children, Josh and Sara.

Ms Joelle, Assistant Director Ms. Joelle is our assistant director. She has a BS in early childhood education from Salem State University and is currently working towards a second Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, also from Salem State University. Ms Joelle has fifteen years of experience as an educator and an administrator. She believes that you are never too young and never too old to learn!

Ms Suzanne, Lead Teacher Ms. Sue holds a Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature from Merrimack College, where she graduated summa cum laude. She has teaching experience at both the elementary and middle school level, and has spent many years as a proofreader in both the legal and financial services industries. She was a teacher in our Toddler 1 classroom, and you will now find her in our Infant 1 classroom.

Ms Melissa, Lead Teacher Ms. Melissa is a teacher in our infant 2 classroom. She brings with her a "no problem" attitude! Her personal view of children is that they are absolute gifts. As she says , "I really believe children should be taught with love.“ Melissa is married with three children. As a family they enjoy camping and road trips. When Melissa gets a moment to herself she enjoys reading and photography.

Ms Gina, Lead Teacher Ms. Gina has certifications as Lead Teacher in all areas and a Director II certification. She brings ten years of teaching experience with her to our First Steps classroom. Her warmth and love of our littlest friends is immediately visible to anyone who meets her. "Each and every day I look into a child's eyes, I learn more and more about the world as seen through their imagination."

Ms Donna, Lead Teacher Ms Donna is a teacher in our toddler suite. She likes reading stories and letting the children act it out. Ms Donna loves working with children and is happy to be surrounded by all of the wonderful toddlers in her classrooms.

Ms Dianne, Lead Teacher Ms. Dianne brings a great mixture of over ten years as a certified early child educator and a healthy dose of love. She is a teacher in our Preschool 1 classroom. Believing in the uniqueness of each child, Dianne says, "It's really a matter of accepting and loving each child no matter what."

Ms Beverly, Lead Teacher Ms. Bev is a teacher in our Preschool 2 classroom. She has more than 30 years of teaching experience both as a lead teacher in preschool and in her own dance studio. Her experience and caring is evident in all that she does. Ms. Bev has an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Northern Essex Community College, where she was also a mentor and supervising teacher to students in the program.

Ms Susan, Lead Teacher Mrs. O. is a highly accomplished preschool teacher. She holds a BS in Elementary Education from Western Connecticut State University, and comes to us with many years of experience as a lead preschool and Pre-K teacher. During her career, she has earned awards for Teacher of the Year, as well as other awards for excellence in teaching. We are fortunate to have Mrs.O with us in the Toucans classroom!

Ms Pam, Lead Teacher Ms. Pam is a lead teacher in our Flamingos classroom and brings many years of preschool and pre-k teaching experience to her classroom. She has a degree in early childhood education from Bunker Hill and a state license. She sees teaching as "modeling appropriate behaviors. Children look up to their teachers and it is crucial to provide them with positive models."

Ms Kylee, Assistant Teacher Ms. Kylee is a teacher in our Infant room. She attended Curry College with a major in Child Development and Education, and is OCCS Preschool/Toddlers/Infants certified. She has several years of experience as a toddler teacher and as a teacher's aide. Prior to teaching, Ms. Kylee worked for many years in customer service. She enjoys working with children is happy to be teaching our wonderful infants!

Ms Stephanie, Assistant Teacher Ms. Stephanie earned her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology from Salem State University and is EEC Infant/Toddler and Preschool certified. She has been teaching preschool for over five years and is now a teacher to the wonderful infants in our infant room. Ms.Stephanie likes to provide the children in her classroom with a safe and loving environment in which they can learn through play.

Ms Kira , Assistant Teacher Ms. Kira is working towards a degree in Elementary and Special Education at Grand Canyon University. She has 2 years of experience working with 1st-3rd graders as a teaching assistant at the Ripley School in Melrose. She believes children succeed when their teachers have a positive attitude and a sense of humor.

Ms Lorraine, Assistant Teacher Ms Lorraine is a floater in our toddler classrooms. She believes that children should be made to feel special at all times, and she does just that! Ms Lorraine is retired from her career in financial services and now enjoys her time working with little ones at the Goddard School

Ms Grady, Assistant Teacher Ms. Grady is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in History at UMass Lowell. She joins our staff with a lot of babysitting experience. She has previously worked in customer service and retail. She believes teachers have an obligation to feed into children’s imagination and creativity, because these are the skills children can then use to change the world.

Ms Robin, Assistant Teacher Ms. Robin has over 45 years of childhood education experience. She is a mother of 2 wonderful kids. Her hobbies include reading and Jigsaw puzzles. Ms. Robin is passionate about working with children of all ages. She says that she is inspired every day by the freedom and curiosity of the children she works with.

Ms Dianne , Assistant Teacher Ms. Dianne is transitioning to teaching after spending many years in the field of education as a Food Service Worker in the Reading Public Schools. She has worked closely with children, teachers and parents and in 2017 was named Manager of the Year for the district, state and region. She enjoys working closely with children and believes that they are each incredible and unique. You will find Ms. Dianne as a floater in our classrooms!

Ms Jessica, Assistant Teacher Ms. Jessica has always enjoyed working with children and in the past has worked both as a nanny and as a camp counselor. She began her teaching career here at the Goddard School as a floater in our classrooms. She is now a teacher in our Toddler 2 classroom, where she brings her positive energy and passion for young people to our wonderful Dancing Dolphins!

Ms Chandra, Assistant Teacher Ms. Chandra comes to us with eight years of experience in the field of early childhood education. She received her Associate’s from Bunker Hill in 2012 and has enjoyed working as a PreK teacher in the years since. Her teaching philosophy is that all children should be loved and treated fairly.

Mr Scott, Assistant Teacher Mr. Scott is a floater in our Pre-K program and is our resident "science guy." He attended Middlesex Community College and UMass at Boston where he studied biology. He has worked with children of all ages, from six week infants through high school students, in Somerville, Belmont and Waltham. “I believe that all children are special and I love building a nurturing and loving environment for each and every child in my classroom.” In addition to being a certified infant, toddler and preschool teacher, Scott has also been a NAA certified archery coach.

Ms Alyssa, Assistant Teacher Ms. Alyssa is a graduate of Framingham State University where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. While in high school and college, she completed two field seminars in elementary schools where she assisted the classroom teachers in all aspects of teaching. Ms Alyssa also has experience caring for children in a home daycare setting and is excited to pursue a career in educating young children. We are fortunate to have Ms Alyssa with us at the Goddard School.

Ms Tangala, Assistant Teacher Ms. Tangala is a teacher in our Preschool 2 classroom. She has been teaching for many years in Pre-K and preschool classrooms, including immersion classrooms serving special education students. Ms. Tangala enjoys accompanying children on their journey of exploring and experimenting as they learn. Most recently she taught at the Goddard School in Alpharetta, GA. We are delighted to have Ms. Tangala join us here in Reading where she can continue to do what she loves best... teaching our young learners!

Ms Danielle, Assistant Teacher Ms. Danielle is a classically-trained mezzo-soprano singer and self-taught pianist. She holds a bachelor's degree from Berklee College of Music. She has experience tutoring children in private voice instruction, and comes to us with preschool teaching experience as well. Ms. Danielle is a teacher in our Toucans classroom, and she also leads "Music with Ms. Danielle" in all of our preschool and Pre-K classrooms!

Ms Karen, Assistant Teacher Ms. Karen is a teacher in our fantastic Flamingo classroom. She is a graduate of Lesley University and is certified in elementary education. Prior to The Goddard School, Ms Karen worked as a paraprofessional in the Lawrence Public Schools and as a teacher in another preschool. She loves teaching and believes that children are wonderfully unique individuals!

Ms Shannon, Resource Ms. Shannon received an Associate’s in Business Technology from Katharine Gibbs College and has experience as the Special Education Department Secretary in a public-school system. She also brings even more insight from years of working as a substitute elementary teacher and from being a mom to two girls. She believes the key to a successful education program is thoughtful listening!
