Our Goddard School Teachers

Ms Hillary joined our team November of 2010 as one of the Owners of the school. Prior to her move to The Goddard School, she worked for IBM Global Services. Ms Hillary has four children that have graduated from the School. She is very excited to be able to combine her love of children with the desire to have a positive impact on so many young lives! Miss Emily joined the The Goddard School in November of 2007 and is the Owner, along with Hillary, of the school. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon.

Miss Angela received her Bachelor of Science in Human Development and Family Sciences from Oregon State University. Her previous experience includes working for the Air Force as a Training & Curriculum Specialist and a Preschool Director for Goddard in 2018. She has over 10 years of experience working in the Early Childhood Education field.

Miss Christian is the office admin. She graduated from Western Washington University with her Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and Social Services. Her previous experience includes working with both the cities of Vancouver, WA and Redmond, WA working with youth and people with disabilities. While in college, Miss Christian worked with at risk youth as an advocate. She is excited to be inspiring young minds here at The Goddard School and looks forward to getting to know your children.

Miss Mariah has a degree in Human Services and a certificate in Family Studies from University of Washington, Vancouver, along with experience as a certified behavior technician in applied behavior analysis therapy. She also brings 15 years of entrepreneurial experience running a successful newborn, portrait, and wedding photography business. As a results-driven professional, she is passionate about supporting individuals and communities through leadership, collaboration, and thoughtful program development that fosters growth and connection. She also embraces a healthy, active lifestyle after losing 370lbs naturally, which continues to shape her perspective on resilience, change, and long-term well-being. 

Ms. Anna is the lead teacher in our Baby Birds Infant classroom. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from Washington State University. Her experience includes over fifteen years working with infants through school-aged children. She is excited to share new things with the children and to be able to teach at The Goddard School.

Ms. Jen is an Assistant Teacher in the Baby Birds classroom. She has over two decades of experience working with infants all the way up to 11 year olds. She is excited to be back in an infant classroom working with our youngest friends in the building.

Miss Jenny is the Scouts lead teacher.

Miss Olivia is the assistant Scouts teacher.

Ms. Shahna is a Lead Teacher in the Pathfinder's classroom. She has been working with children for over 30 years. She was a nanny for several years and worked in another center. She also opened and ran her own home daycare for 10 years. Children smiling and laughing bring her heart the greatest joy and she is very excited to continue her passion for working with children at The Goddard School.

Miss Michelle is an Assistant Teacher in the Pathfinder's classroom at The Goddard School. She has worked with children in both Preschool and Elementary schools for 12 years. She is very excited to teach and care for the younger children in the school!

Miss Bonnie is a Lead Teacher the Discoverer's classroom. Prior to coming to The Goddard School, she was a para educator in Special Education for the Evergreen School District for 12 years. She is excited to be a part of the younger group of children and help them grow!

Miss Alia is part of our resource staff. She recently graduated from Fort Vancouver High School and is planning to go back to school to further her education. She has many years of experience working with infants through school-age children.

Miss Erica is an Assistant Teacher in the Ranger's classroom. Prior to working at The Goddard School she worked at another Early Childhood Center where she was a teacher for 5 years. She is excited to be part of The Goddard School team!

I have my bachelor's degree from University of Washington and have been working with children for two years. My love of watching children learn an grow is what lead me to the path of teaching. I look forward to getting to know all your children.

Miss Katelynn is a Lead Teacher in the Wanderer's classrooms. She is currently attending Portland State University majoring in Social Work. She has worked for multiple families as a nanny. She is looking forward to her work at The Goddard School and encouraging the children's growth.

Ms. Alyssa is an Assistant Teacher at The Goddard School. She has taken coursework at Portland Bible College in nursing and pediatrics, as well as has her certificate in Early Childhood Education. She is excited to be part of the children's days here at The Goddard School!

Miss Kara is a Lead Teacher in the Dreamer's classroom at The Goddard School. She has three years of experience working as an Assistant Teacher at a Preschool in Portland and an additional two years as a nanny. She is excited to stretch her skills at The Goddard School while she continues to work with all ages of children.

Miss Leslie is an Assistant Teacher in the Dreamer's classroom. Prior to coming to work at The Goddard School, she was a nanny for multiple children. She is excited to meet each family and make connections with the children.

I am very excited to join the team here at The Goddard School. I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2014 with my Bachelor’s degree in Education and a minor in Literacy. I have seven years classroom teaching experience, with six of those having been spent in early childhood education. I am very passionate about working with preschool and pre-k students because of the incredible learning and growth which takes place during those years. When I am not in the classroom I enjoy dance, spending time with my husband and pets, and getting out in nature.

Miss Makenna is the Lead Teacher in the Ranger's classroom. She is currently a student at Clark College pursuing her degree in Education. She has worked with children for the last 4 years and is excited to utilize and build her education while teaching in the Preschool classroom.

Miss Erin is a Lead Teacher in the Explorer's Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has been working with children for many years, first in The PACE Program and then at The Helen Gordon Childcare Center at PSU. She is currently attending Portland State and working towards her degree in Social Work. She is excited to grow and learn with the children here at The Goddard School.

Miss Maddy is a lead teacher in our Explorers classroom. She has a Bachelors degree from Oregon State University and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work.

Miss Roxy has a bachelor's degree from Washington State University in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Development and Criminal Justice. Prior to joining The Goddard School she worked with infants and toddlers. She looks forward to supporting your child through their learning and growth.

Miss Nikki is one of our amazing resource staff members. She joined us as a teenager and stayed for years, then had an adorable son and decided to spend some time being a mom, and now after 7 years she's back! She is excited to rejoin the team and we are thrilled to have her!

Miss Shea is a Lead Teacher in the Trailblazer's Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has Bachelor degrees in Psychology and Criminal Justice and is planning to return to school to obtain her Masters in Youth Psychology. Prior to coming to The Goddard School, she worked at a children's teen homeless shelter. She is excited to be working with younger children and broadening her knowledge in Early Childhood Education.

Mr. Daniel is one of our amazing resource staff members. You can see his friendly face on the big side of the school.

Mr. Joe is part of our resource staff, primarily in our Pre-k and Preschool classrooms. He has experience as a coach for youth after-school programs and at an indoor park for children. He's excited to be at The Goddard School and looks forward to teaching and getting to know all the children in the school.

Miss Mercy is one of our esteemed resource teachers. You can primarily see her smiling face on the young side of the building.

Miss Kaylah is one of our incredible resource staff members.

I have worked with children since I was 8 years old, starting as a babysitter, nanny, and eventually in childcare centers, where I have been working for the past 10 years. I attended Washington State University where I earned my Bachelor's degree in Anthropology. I believe in meeting every child where they're at and get great joy getting to know each child as an individual. In my spare time I love to play board games, going out in nature, and watching TV with my roommate, and my cat, Icarus.

Miss Buggy is a resource teacher at The Goddard School. She loves children and animals and is excited to get to know your kids.
