Our Goddard School Teachers

Ms. Hillary joined our team November of 2010 as one of the Owners of the school. Prior to her move to The Goddard School, she worked for IBM Global Services. Ms. Hillary has four children that have graduated from the School. She is very excited to be able to combine her love of children with the desire to have a positive impact on so many young lives! Miss Emily joined the The Goddard School in November of 2007 and is the Owner, along with Hillary, of the school. She has her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Oregon.

Ms. Madison earned her Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education and her Master's Degree in Trauma-Informed Education from Concordia University. She has five years of experience as an elementary school teacher and has also worked in educational leadership and administration, supporting curriculum development, teacher growth, and school operations. Ms. Madison is excited to continue fostering the positive culture at our school while supporting and encouraging our incredible teachers. She looks forward to partnering with families to create a nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

Miss Chris is our office administrator. She graduated from Western Washington University with her Bachelor's Degree in Humanities and Social Services. Her previous experience includes working with both the cities of Vancouver, WA and Redmond, WA working with youth and people with disabilities. While in college, Miss Chris worked with at risk youth as an advocate. She is excited to be inspiring young minds here at The Goddard School and looks forward to getting to know your children.

Ms. Anna is the lead teacher in our Baby Birds Infant classroom. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Development from Washington State University. Her experience includes over fifteen years working with infants through school-aged children. She is excited to share new things with the children and to be able to teach at The Goddard School.

Ms. Jenn is a co-lead teacher in the Baby Birds classroom. She has over two decades of experience working with infants all the way up to 11-year-olds. She is excited to be back in an infant classroom working with our youngest friends in the building.

Miss Jenny is the Lead Teacher in the Scouts classroom. Before coming to The Goddard School, she worked in another early childcare center. She is happy to be working with some of the youngest children at the school and watching them grow every day.

Miss Hannah is a co-lead teacher in the Scouts classroom. She has worked in childcare for 3 years prior to arriving at The Goddard School. She has experience infant classrooms all the way through kindergarten classrooms. She loves arts and crafts and being adventurous. Miss Hannah's goal is to create a loving environment for all little ones to learn and grow.

Ms. Shahna is a Lead Teacher in the Pathfinder's classroom. She has been working with children for over 30 years. She was a nanny for several years and worked in another center. She also opened and ran her own home daycare for 10 years. Children smiling and laughing bring her heart the greatest joy and she is very excited to continue her passion for working with children at The Goddard School.

Miss Michelle is a Co-lead teacher in the Pathfinder's classroom at The Goddard School. She has worked with children in both Preschool and Elementary schools for 12 years. She is very excited to teach and care for the younger children in the school!

Ms. Bonnie is a Lead Teacher the Discoverer's classroom. Prior to coming to The Goddard School, she was a para educator in Special Education for the Evergreen School District for 12 years. She is excited to be a part of the younger group of children and help them grow!

Miss Alia is a co-lead teacher in the Discoverers classroom. She recently graduated from Fort Vancouver High School and is planning to go back to school to further her education. She has many years of experience working with infants through school-age children.

Miss Erica is the Lead teacher in the Wanderer's classroom. Prior to working at The Goddard School she worked at another Early Childhood Center where she was a teacher for 5 years. She is excited to be part of The Goddard School team!

Miss Katelin is a co-lead teacher in the Wanderer's classroom. She has an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Clark College. Before working at The Goddard School, she was in a Toddler classroom at Clark and worked at Summer Camps. She is excited to be at The Goddard School and loves seeing the children's smiling faces every day. She is looking forward to helping them learn during their time together.

Miss Kara is a Lead Teacher in the Dreamer's classroom at The Goddard School. She has three years of experience working as an Assistant Teacher at a Preschool in Portland and an additional two years as a nanny. She is excited to stretch her skills at The Goddard School while she continues to work with all ages of children.

Miss Leslie is a co-lead teacher in the Dreamer's classroom. Prior to coming to work at The Goddard School, she was a nanny for multiple children. She is excited to meet each family and make connections with the children.

Miss Selena is the lead teacher in our Voyagers classroom. She is currently working towards her bachelor's degree in Human Development and Family Sciences. Prior to becoming a teacher at The Goddard School, she was a Behavior Support Specialist and Assistant Administrator for a special contracted facility where she worked with challenging behaviors and severe and persistent mental illnesses. She has her QMHA (Qualified Mental Health Associate) license and has a PRO-Act Crisis Management certificate. In her Spare time, she enjoys reading, cooking, baking, coloring and puzzle. She is excited to grow and learn with your children at The Goddard School.

Ms. Alyssa is a co-lead teacher in the Voyagers Classroom. She has taken coursework at Portland Bible College in nursing and pediatrics, as well as has her certificate in Early Childhood Education. She is excited to be part of the children's days here at The Goddard School!

Miss Rianna is the lead teacher in the Adventurer's Preschool classroom. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology with a minor in Early Childhood Development from the University of Portland. She has worked with children for over 10 years in children's mental health clinics, another childcare facility, and as a private nanny. In her classroom, she strives to create an inclusive, positive learning environment for each child regardless of any limitations.

Miss Kaylah is a co-lead in the Adventurers classroom.

Ms. Makenna is the Lead Teacher in the Ranger's classroom. She is currently a student at Clark College pursuing her degree in Education. She has worked with children for the last 4 years and is excited to utilize and build her education while teaching in the Preschool classroom.

Miss J is a co-lead teacher in the Ranger's classroom. has worked with children since she was 8 years old, starting as a babysitter, nanny, and eventually in childcare centers, where she has been working for the past 10 years. She attended Washington State University where she earned her bachelor's degree in Anthropology. She believes in meeting every child where they're at and receives great joy having the chance to get to know each child as an individual. In her spare time, she loves to play board games, being out in nature, and watching TV with her roommate, and her cat, Icarus.

Ms. Erin is the Lead Teacher in the Explorer's Pre-Kindergarten classroom. She has been working with children for many years, first in The PACE Program and then at The Helen Gordon Childcare Center at PSU. She is currently attending Portland State and working towards her degree in Social Work. She is excited to grow and learn with the children here at The Goddard School.

Miss Maddie is a lead teacher in our Explorers classroom. She has a Bachelors degree from Oregon State University and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work.

Ms. Roxy has a bachelor's degree from Washington State University in Psychology with an emphasis in Human Development and Criminal Justice. Prior to joining The Goddard School she worked with infants and toddlers. She looks forward to supporting your child through their learning and growth.

Miss Nikki is one of our amazing resource staff members. She joined us as a teenager and stayed for years, then had an adorable son and decided to spend some time being a mom, and now after 7 years she's back! She is excited to rejoin the team and we are thrilled to have her!

Mr. Joe is part of our resource staff, primarily in our Pre-k and Preschool classrooms. He has experience as a coach for youth after-school programs and at an indoor park for children. He's excited to be at The Goddard School and looks forward to teaching and getting to know all the children in the school.

Ms. Mercy is one of our esteemed resource teachers. You can primarily see her smiling face on the young side of the building.

Miss Buggy is a resource teacher at The Goddard School. She loves children and animals and is excited to get to know your kids.

Ms. Brooke is excited to join The Goddard School! She has 9 years of experience in childcare, working as a lead teacher with both preschool and infant classrooms. She is also a proud mom to two boys, ages 3 and 7. Outside of school, Ms. Brooke loves taking trips to Disneyland with her family, reading, and going to concerts with friends. She looks forward to getting to know each child and making this a fun and memorable year!

Miss Anna is a part of our resource staff. She was born and raised in Prom Renh, Cambodia. She came to Washington to attended Portland Bible College where she has almost completed her Bachelor's Degree in Theology. Miss Anna has worked in early childhood education for the past 6 years. She loves working with children and experiencing the joy they have for all aspects of life. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing piano and spending time with her family. We are so excited to have her as part of our Goddard Family!

Ms. Alex is excited to be part of The Goddard School community! She has worked in preschool for the past three and a half years at a school in Tennessee. She holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a focus in Human Services. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys baking, reading, and spending time with her own children. She is looking forward to getting to know each family and creating a fun, nurturing environment for her students!

Joselynn has been working with children of all age groups, from infants to preschoolers. Before joining The Goddard School, she was a Toddler Lead at another childcare center. She loves watching children learn and grow and strives to create a safe, nurturing space where they feel comfortable sharing and expressing their feelings. She is excited to be part of each child’s day and looks forward to filling it with smiles, hugs, and meaningful moments!

Miss Samm moved to Vancouver from Spokane, Washington, in August 2026 for a new adventure. She has experience working with children of all ages, most recently supporting behaviorally at-risk autistic teenagers. In her free time, she enjoys painting, writing, and spending time with loved ones. She loves the creativity and whimsy that comes with working with children and is excited to be part of The Goddard Team!
