I have a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Old Dominion University. After 15 years of working for several Fortune 1.000 companies, I have decided to combine a lifelong dream of owning my own business with my love of children. I have seven years experience as a lead teacher for the Preschool class here at The Goddard School. I truly love what I do and watching the children grow while having fun! Hi, my name is Barbie and I am a mother of two. I am a military wife and have lived all over the country. I am originally from Maryland! I have my degree in Applied Behavioral Science with a minor in Child Development. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family. I also enjoy coaching our sons’ baseball team with my husband and traveling (especially to Disney). I am very excited to start this new chapter of my life. Hi, my name is Falicia! I am a Navy wife, cat mom, and enjoy anything of the arts. I participated in dance for 10 years and theater for 6. I was born in Wisconsin, moved to Georgia and then to Florida where I graduated from Idabaker High School. I then moved to California before the Navy brought my husband and I here to Virginia! I have worked with children for eight years and I am excited to work with and get to know the staff and children at The Goddard School!

Hi, my name is Makisha and I have a mother of four. My two oldest are in college, one is in middle school, and my baby is in elementary school. My youngest son has autism. I previously worked on Joint Base Langley-Eustis for 5 years at the Child Development Center. I graduated from Tidewater Tech in 2001 with an Associate’s degree in Childhood Development and Computer Administration. I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Early Childhood Development and will finish in the Fall of 2023. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my children and family. Family time is a very important part of my life. I have 10 years of experience working with children, including children with autism. Since I have joined the team, it has been amazing with great staff and a group of amazing kids!

Hi, my name is Kenzie, and I am from Las Vegas, Nevada. I was born and raised there. I have two dogs, Bodhi, a Pitbull puppy, and Raider, a Great Dane. I am studying to become a pediatric nurse! I currently attend Virginia Peninsula Community College after two years at the College of Southern Nevada. In my spare time, I enjoy visiting my family back home, reading, traveling, and gardening! I have lifeguard experience and was a swim instructor, with the youngest student being 3 months old! I am so glad to have joined the Goddard family as I love the children here as well as my fellow co-workers.

I completed a full year at Dutchess Community College majoring in Early Childhood Education before moving to Virginia. In my spare time, I enjoy painting and drawing. I love art! I am currently studying Early Childhood Education at Virginia Peninsula Community College. After completion, I plan to transfer to a four-year college. In my spare time, I enjoy reading and spending time with friends and family. I started babysitting when I was 14 years old. I was a nanny to a family for a year and half before starting at The Goddard School. My favorite part about working with children is watching them grow and learn new things.

I was nine years old when I moved to the United States. I earned an Associate’s degree in Culinary Arts from ECPI University for Culinary Arts and a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing for Entertainment from Full Sail University. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, and playing Pokemon. I also like to draw and play Dominoes with my family! I earned a Bachelor’s degree in International Affairs and would like to one day pursue a career in counter terrorism and national security. I graduated from Lock Haven State with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Early Childhood Education. After graduating, I taught preschool for many years. I was also a Director of an Early Childhood Center. As a military family, we have had the opportunity to live in places such as Oklahoma, Colorado, Iceland, North Carolina and now, Virginia. I have enjoyed being a lead teacher here at The Goddard School.

I graduated from JMU in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree for Business Administration in Marketing. I am currently preparing to take the LSAT this Fall and will begin Law School next Fall. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my dog, Toby, watching movies, dancing, and traveling! I have prior experience as a medical assistant and I have two and half years experience working with children, but I have been a mom for 25 years! I have three boys and one girl! In my spare time, I enjoy cooking and cleaning. My family enjoys going on long walks, going to the park and spending time together.
