Our Teachers

Matt and Janie Lisagor are the owners of the Goddard School in Williamsburg. They were born and raised in the Williamsburg area. They have two children ages 29 and 22. Their youngest child attended and graduated from another Goddard School location. They were so impressed by the school they decided to open a school of their own. Janie earned a Bachelor’s degree in Early Education and a Master’s degree in Education Administration. Janie’s background includes 12 years of experience as a classroom school teacher. Matt earned a degree in Accounting from Old Dominion University. Matt’s background includes over 25 years of experience as a CPA, business owner and COO in the healthcare industry. They are committed to providing the highest quality education and care to the children at Goddard. *First Aid and CPR Certified *Medication Administration Trained

Mrs. Melissa is a Director. She has worked with Infants through School Age children as an assistant teacher, lead teacher and Director for over 28 years before joining the Goddard Team in January 2013. She has two beautiful daughters, one is a graduate of Goddard. She received her Associate's Degree in Child Development and attended Marymount University for Psychology with a minor in Education. *First Aid and CPR Certified *Medication Administration Trained (MAT)

Mrs. Lindsey is the Assistant Director. She worked with children over 6 years before joining the Goddard Team in August 2012. She was the lead teacher in our toddler classroom for several years before becoming the assistant director. She has her Child Development Associates (CDA) Certificate. She is the loving mother to a son who attends Goddard. *First Aid & CPR Certified *Medication Administration Trained (MAT)

Ms. Cara works with our infant class as the assistant teacher. She has worked in several different industries, most recently for New Kent Elementary Head Start as an assistant teacher, and brings her vast experience to The Goddard School. As a mother of two she has the knowledge of the development of young children. *CPR and First Aid certified. *MAT certified

Jessica is one of the assistants in our infant class. She has five years of experience working with children of all ages, infants being her favorite. She loves to watch them grow and learn new things daily.

Ms. Zu is the assistant in the infant classroom. She recently completed a summer internship at Sentara and would like to go to college for imaging and become a sonogram technician. She has worked with children of all ages for three years. *First Aid and CPR Certified

Ms. Yuna is the lead teacher in the Chipmunks classroom. She has recently obtained her psychology degree from William and Mary. She is also currently in a master's program at George Mason University for special education. She has years of experience working with children of all ages. *First Aid and CPR certified

Mrs. Luz works in our Chipmunk classroom as the assistant teacher. She has an extensive background teaching English to Preschoolers and Kindergarteners in Peru. Her passion for children led her to continue working with them, and she hopes to become a full-time teacher. *First Aid and CPR certified

Ms. Delaney is the lead teacher in the Turtles classroom. She has worked with all ages in the school and has been with Goddard for over three years. She has a Child Development Associate. *CPR and First Aid certified. *MAT certified.

Ms. Sarah is the assistant teacher in our Turtles classroom. She comes to Goddard with extensive experience in the field of early childhood education, having been a lead teacher previously. She also ran her own in-home daycare for years, which she enjoyed tremendously. She has two beautiful daughters who attend school locally. *First Aid and CPR certified

Ms. Mary is one of our teachers in our Seals classroom. She attended Thibodaux Vocational School for Early Childhood Education in Louisiana. She has several of years experience. She is a loving mother of three and a grandmother to five. *First Aid and CPR certified

Mrs. Luba is the lead teacher in the Bear's classroom. She comes to Goddard with many years of experience in early childhood education. She received a Bachelors Degree in Teaching from the University of Ukraine in 1986. She is a mother to a daughter that is 25 years old. *First Aid and CPR certified *MAT certified

Ms. Victoria is our lead in our Pre-School I classroom. She attended Richard Bland College of William and Mary, where she received her Associates of Arts and Science in 2020. She has worked in child care for over a year.

Ms. Aggie is the assistant teacher in the Otters classroom. She moved to Virginia from Alabama and joined Goddard shortly afterward. She previously worked in the customer service field and has gained extensive experience working with children of all ages. *First Aid and CPR certified

Ms. Katelyn is the lead teacher in the Raccoon's classroom. She has been in early childhood education since 2012, and recently completed her Child Development Associate. She has been with Goddard for over two years, previously working as the assistant teacher in Raccoons. *First Aid and CPR certified

Ms. Brianna is the assistant in our preschool classroom. She enjoys working with children of all ages. She also is a loving mother to a beautiful daughter. *CPR and Frist Aid Certified

Mrs. Pebbles is the lead teacher in the Pelican's classroom. She has worked with children for over 18 years and has an Associate’s degree in Arts (Elementary, Middle, and Special Education). She joined the Goddard Team when we first opened in June 2009. *First Aid & CPR Certified *2010 Teacher of the Year *December 2013 Teacher of the Month from Williamsburgfamilies.com.

Mrs. Yvonne is the assistant teacher in the Pelican's classroom. She has worked in the Customer Service field for over 20 years before joining the Goddard Team in September 2010. *2014 Teacher of the Year. *April 2016 Teacher of the Month from Williamsburgfamilies.com. *First Aid and CPR Certified

Ms. Madison is the lead teacher in our Eagles classroom. She attended Radford University and graduated in 2022 with her degree in Early Childhood Education. *First Aid and CPR certified

Mrs. Angela is one of our teachers in Pre-K II class! She is a loving mother to two boys. She was born and raised in a small village in North Italy. She moved to Texas in 2021 and then moved to Williamsburg. She has been in childcare for three years. She enjoys watching the children grow day by day. *CPR and First Aid Certified

Mr. Joshua is our technology resource and school maintenance. He has an Associate's in Information Technology and Applied Science and is currently completing his Bachelor's Degree. He has worked at The Goddard School for 6 years. *First Aid and CPR certified

Ms. Susan works with all ages as a part-time assistant teacher. She is a loving mother and grandmother who loves spending time with children of all ages. Her experience includes working at the Department of Defense spanning a period of 20 years before joining the Goddard Team in January 2016. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Business and Human Resources Administration from St. Leo College. *CPR and First Aid certified

Ms. Cheyenne works with all ages as one of our part-time assistant teachers. She has an extensive background in Early Childhood Education, and came to us from being a lead in a Pre-K classroom for 3 years. She graduated with her Associate's degree in May of 2024 and is currently continuing to work on her degree in education! *First Aid and CPR certified

Ms. Abby works with all ages as a part-time assistant teacher. She is currently a senior at a local high school. She has extensive personal experience with young children, having provided care for her family members' babies and toddlers. *CPR and First Aid Certified

Ms. Rebekah works with all ages in our school as a Part-Time Assistant Teacher. She has worked extensively with young children as an assistant swim instructor and nanny, and intends to continue her education in early childhood development while working with Goddard. *First Aid and CPR certified.

Ms. Kayla works with all ages as a part-time assistant teacher. She has worked with young children for many years as an assistant teacher and a nanny. She is a graduate of Jamestown High School and is attending James Madison University while she works on her Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice. *First Aid and CPR certified.

Ms. Lauren works with all ages as a part-time assistant teacher. She joined our team in June 2014 and has worked with young children for over 12 years as a lead and assistant teacher. *First Aid and CPR certified.

Ms. Hannah is a part-time assistant who works with all ages. She has worked with young children for several years babysitting and at The Goddard School through high school and college. She recently graduated from Longwood University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a concentration in Biomedical. Ms. Hannah also has her Master’s Degree in Secondary Education. She originally joined the Goddard Team in January 2011.

Mrs. Alicyn works with all ages as a part-time assistant teacher. She has extensive experience with young children, having worked with them in varying capacities for several years. She is a loving mother of two and a grandmother of three. *First Aid and CPR certified

Ms. Charlotte works with all ages as a full-time assistant teacher. She graduated from Jamestown High School and is currently working on her Child Development Associate. She has been with Goddard for five years. *First Aid and CPR certified.

Ms. Jacky works with all ages as a part-time assistant teacher. She is currently a senior at a local high school and is planning to start college in the fall. She also enjoys volunteering at the local hospital.

Rileigh is our assistant in our Toddler classroom. She is currently taking classes for her social science degree with a focus on elementary education. She hopes to one day earn her bachelors degree in elementary education to become an elementary school teacher.

Ms. Kylani is one of our Part-Time Assistant Teachers and helps out in all age groups. She has experience with all ages with volunteering at a local daycare back home.
