Our Teachers

Our Owners, Mr. Adam & Ms. Angela, have owned and operated The Goddard School of Ashburn @ Belmont Greene as a family since 2008. Mr. Adam is the on-site owner, overseeing the day-to-day operation of the school. Prior to opening The Goddard School, he spent over 35 years in software development, management consulting, and global implementation of business systems. Mr. Adam holds a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management, as well as in Business Administration. He also has a Master of Science in Computer Science. Our Administrative Director, Ms. Kelsey, graduated from the University of Mary Washington with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations. Ms. Kelsey joined the Goddard family in 2014 and has been teaching with us ever since. She has hands-on experience in each of the classrooms here at Goddard. During her time at university, she regularly volunteered with children in programs such as Brain Builders, and other after-school elementary programs aimed at assisting children in need.

Our Lead Young Toddler Teacher, Ms. Beth, joined the Goddard family in 2013. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Literature from Belmont Abbey College. Ms. Beth has over 30 years in childcare. She also enjoys volunteering at retirement homes in her leisure time. Ms. Beth is First Aid, CPR and MAT (Medical Administration Training) certified.

Our Lead Infant Teacher, Ms. Esma, joined the Goddard family in 2012. She also serves as our Health and Safety Specialist. Ms. Esma earned her Bachelor's Degree in Agricultural Engineering from Kocaeli University in Turkey. She has nearly 15 years experience in the childcare profession. Ms. Esma is also First Aid, CPR and MAT (Medical Administration Training) certified. In her free time, Ms. Esma enjoys spending time with her husband and three children!

Our Lead Toddler Teacher, Ms. Tasha, rejoined the Goddard family in 2022. She was previously a member of our team for three and a half years before taking time off to spend with her family. She has been working with children for 10 years and is currently working toward her CDA. Ms. Tasha first discovered her passion for working with children when she took her first Early Childhood Education courses in high school. She is incredibly excited to be back on our Goddard Teaching Team! Ms. Tasha is First Aid and CPR certified. In her free time, Ms. Tasha enjoys watching movies, going out to eat, and spending time with her family and friends!

Our Lead PreK Teacher, Ms. Rossana, joined our Goddard Family in 2021. Ms. Rossana has been working in childcare for over 6 years. Ms. Rossana has her bachelor’s degree in Language Education from National University of Tujillo. She also has her master’s degree in Educational Management from Marcelino Champagnat University. Ms. Rossana’s favorite part of teaching is helping students develop into successful and happy learners. In her free time, Ms. Rossana enjoys pressing flowers and spending time with her family.

Our Lead Kindergarten Teacher, Ms. Shannon, joined our Goddard Family in 2021. She received her Bachelor of Art and Master of Arts in Teaching degrees from the University of Mary Washington. Over the past few years, Ms. Shannon has worked with school age children in the northern Virginia area. Ms. Shannon has a strong focus on the arts and learning through creation. In her spare time, she paints and embroiders and plays with her beloved cat, Taako.

Our Assistant Teacher, Ms. Brooke, joined the Goddard family in 2022. She is currently earning her Bachelor's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at James Madison University. Ms. Brooke has had the pleasure of working with children for 6 years through programs such as Teacher Cadet, Education Rising, and Vacation Bible School. Ms. Brooke loves working with children because of the joy and positivity they bring to life! In her free time, Ms. Brooke enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, crafting, and taking photos!

Our Assistant Teacher, Ms. Mariela, joined the Goddard family in 2014. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Early Child Development at Saint Martin University, and has her CDA. Ms. Mariela has over 20 years experience in childcare. Ms. Mariela is First Aid and CPR certified. In her free time, Ms. Mariela enjoys volunteering with Loudoun Hunger Relief and The Salvation Army. She also enjoys spending time with her son!
