Meet Robbin Owner

Robbin and Rick Wells live on an organic farm where they raised their two children. Both are involved in McKinney community outreach and philanthropy, passionate about hospitality and education, and proud to be a part of The Goddard School family. Robbin received a bachelor’s degree from Southern Methodist University, a master’s in journalism from the University of North Texas, and a master’s in early childhood education from Texas Woman's University, where she is in the doctoral program for child development and early education. Robbin spent 25 years in customer service, sales, and marketing and served as a Trustee on the Lovejoy ISD School Board 2012-2019. Rick runs Wells Group McKinney, owner of Rick’s Chophouse, Harvest Seasonal Kitchen, and The Grand Hotel. Robbin and Rick launched The Seed Project Foundation in 2015 to help fund small ideas with big goals to promote sustainability in our community. Its donation farm, McKinney Roots, feeds thousands in our community each year.

Infant

6 w - 12 m

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.

First Steps

12 - 18 m

We support and encourage children to confidently explore and develop new skills, language and ideas.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.

Get Set

2.5 - 3 yrs

Little ones begin preschool routines and new ways of play, supporting all areas of continuous development.

Preschool

3 - 4 yrs

In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

TEXAS RISING STAR

4-Stars

Texas Rising Star is a quality rating and improvement system for Texas early childhood programs. The Texas Rising Star Provider certification system offers three levels of certification (2-star, 3-star and 4-star) to encourage providers to attain progressively higher certification requirements leading to a 4-star.

June 2025 - June 2028

NAEYC ACCREDITED

National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) accredits early childhood programs according to health, safety and education standards. The standards are intended to provide a reliable and accountable accreditation system to encourage the field of early childhood education to strive for a new level of excellence.

September 2021 - September 2026

HUMANITARIAN AWARD

The Humanitarian Award honors a School that ‘does well by doing good.’ This award is given to the school that has demonstrated selfless devotion to serving those in need and demonstrates a commitment to community outreach. This award recognizes the life-enriching programs the School has participated in and positive contributions the School has made through community outreach endeavors.
