    Owner
    Amy joined The Goddard School family in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. She taught public school for three years before moving into corporate training and human resources. She and her husband (Bill) opened their first Goddard School in January of 2009. This will be the fourth Goddard School they have opened -- and first in the Charleston area. She and Bill have three daughters -- two of whom live in the Nexton Community. In her free time, Amy enjoys walking her Boykin Spaniel puppy, Toffee and gardening. She is also a terrible knitter.

    Bill and his wife (Amy) started their Goddard odyssey in January of 2009, opening their first of three schools in the Fort Mill, SC area. In preparation for their move to Charleston, they sold all 3 schools with the desire of opening the Goddard School in Summerville-Nexton. Bill has a BA degree from Oglethorpe University and an MBA from Emory University. Bill and Amy also are proud parents of 3 girls who are all connected to Goddard in some way. Their youngest daughter (Rachel) attended the Goddard School in Twinsburg, Ohio and graduated from Florida State University this past December. Their middle daughter (Tegan), a graduate of CofC, resides in Nexton and was a teacher/director at our Fort Mill school. Their oldest daughter (Casey) is a graduate of Arizona State and was a Toddler teacher at the Goddard Fort Mill school. She is now a recruiter for Seamon Whiteside and lives in the Nexton community.

    Education Director
    Tegan joined Mr. Bill and Ms. Amy at their Dobys Bridge school in April of 2021. Prior to starting at the Goddard school, she earned her degree in International Business with a minor in Global Logistics from the College of Charleston which led her to work in the Transportation industry post grad. She decided to leave the Logistics world behind and joined the Goddard School of Dobys Bridge as a Floater. She eventually moved to lead Junior Kindergarten teacher followed by another move to Director. She has worked as an Operations Director, but thrives in her current role as Education Director where she brings a level of passion when it comes to building our curriculum and supporting Kindergarten Readiness! In her free time, she enjoys taking her dog, Muffin, for walks with her husband Jack.

    Operations DIrector
    Sara joined the Goddard Family in February of 2024. Ms. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling, Mental Health, and Human Services from Northern Kentucky University. She started her career of caring for and educating children at the age of 12 when she was certified to babysit through the American Red Cross. Ms. Sara has always worked in a field and had a passion for teaching, instructing, and caring for children of all ages. She and her husband, Bryson, got married in 2010 and have 4 children together. They recently relocated their family to the Charleston area and are absolutely loving it so far! Ms. Sara spends her weekends watching her children do what they love in the sports of gymnastics, cheer, swimming, soccer, and dance.

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Riley earned her bachelor degree in Psychology with a minor in Childhood Studies from Bridgewater State University in MA. While a student there, Rylie worked in the College of Education lab school with special needs students to develop their gross motor skills. Before coming to Goddard, Riley worked in a licensed center in MA. When she's not at work, Riley enjoys spending time with her husband and doggie, Matilda.

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Wendy joined our team in 2024. She graduated from the University of Maine where she earned her degree in Child Development & Family Relations with a minor in Education and Disability Studies. Ms. Wendy also recently earned her Masters in Human Development before starting work as an Early Interventionist Specialist. She has worked with infants during early intervention and as a nanny. In her free time Ms. Wendy likes to play with her dog and exercise!

    Ms. Amanda joined us in September 2024. She earned her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education and will soon have completed a Bachelor Degree in Healthcare Administration. Before coming to Goddard, Ms. Amanda worked in other area licensed childcare centers with all ages from infants to 4 year olds. When she isn’t working, Amanda enjoys spending time with her husband and young son and playing pickleball.

    Infant Teacher
    Ms. Kayla joined us in September of 2024. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Liberty University while taking electives to further her understanding of early learning. Since graduating, Ms. Kayla is excited to be a part of our team as a resource to learn more about early learning and support the team! In Ms. Kayla's free time, she likes to spend time with her family, go shopping, and play with her two cats!

    Young Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Kim graduated from S.U.N.Y New Paltz with a BS degree in Elementary Education. She went straight into early childhood teaching and has worked with Infants through 4 year olds. Kim joined the Goddard Family in 2016 in the Charlotte market and we're happy that she relocated to Charleston! When she's not teaching, she loves time with her husband David and her dog Bella.

    Young Toddlers/Spanish Teacher
    Ms. Yanna earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Sta Maria University in Venezuela before moving to the USA with her husband in 2016. Ms. Yanna pursued her love for education by working in early learning as well as working as a Spanish teacher for elementary school. Later on, she took a break from teaching to enjoy mom life with her two little boys. Now that her boys are older, she is ready to get back to the classroom! When Ms. Yanna is not teaching, she loves reading and spending time with her family - especially at the beach!

    Todds Teacher
    Sabrina earned a BA in Psychology and also holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Before coming to Goddard, Sabrina taught in a Montessori program with 18-24 month old children. She also taught as an assistant in a special needs program serving children in grades K through 8. When she isn't working, she enjoys reading Danielle Steele novels.

    Ms. Ari earned her BS degree in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University. Before coming to Goddard, Ari taught 4K in a licensed childcare center in Charleston. She also was a Registred Behavior Technician in Savannah. She's happy to be back in Charleston as a Twos teacher! For fun, Ari enjoys drawing, eating and self-care.

    Ms. Amari is a recent graduate of the College of Charleston where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. Ms. Amari has enjoyed working in child care centers since high school, but has especially loved learning more about education through practicum hours. In Ms. Amari's free time she enjoys going to concerts and spending time with friends.

    Ms. Shea is set to graduate in December of 2024 with her Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education from Claflin University. She has always loved working with little ones whether it was nannying or being a camp counselor. She is working with us part time until she graduates and can join our team full time. When she is not working or in class, she enjoys taking her son to the park!

    Ms. Jalicia gained early childhood education experience during her time at Ridge Christian Academy where she worked primarily with students in the K2, K3, and K4 programs. Since starting with us, Ms. Jalicia is excited to start working on her CDA to gain more technical skills in the world of early learning. In Ms. Jalicia's free time, she enjoys photography, making jewelry, crocheting, and learning about her Family Tree!

    Ms. Peggy earned her Early Childhood Education Certificate from Haywood Community College and has 22 years experience teaching pre-k. Before coming to Goddard in Summerville, she taught at a Goddard School in Mooresville, NC. She loves watching children explore the wonders of learning. In her free time, Peggy loves spending time with Family and going to the beautiful beaches.

    Pre-K Teacher
    Ms. Lisa joined us in 2024. She holds a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies. She is currently working on her Master's degree in Elementary Education at Western Governor's University. Before coming to Goddard, Lisa taught early learners at other area licensed childcare centers. When she's not working, Lisa enjoys scrapbooking and gaming.

    Pre-k Teacher
    Ms. Kylie earned her bachelor degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from Minnesota State University. She taught kindergarten readiness through Head Start in MN as well. Before coming to Goddard, Kylie was a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant at Low Country Therapy. When she isn't working, Kylie loves spending time with her husband and daughter.

    Preschool Teacher
    Ms. Megan earned her degree in Early Childhood Education from Claflin University. During her time there, she interned at the Orangeburg Preparatory Child Development Center. She stayed at OP for a full year after graduating before joining the Goddard team in October of 2024. In Ms. Megan's free time she likes to go to the movies, have family game nights, and go shopping!

    Ms. Natalie earned her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from York Technical College in Rock Hill. Before coming to Summerville, she taught with us at our Goddard School in Fort Mill. Her life before Goddard included being a director at a licensed center in James Island for 4 years. When she isn't working, Natalie loves hiking to waterfalls in the area.

    Lyndsey

    Preschool Teacher
    Ms. Lyndsey discovered her love of working with little ones when she nannied for 3 years. She then decided to transition to working in a licensed facility where she stayed for 2 years. She is now loving being a part of the Goddard Team and hopes to finish her degree while working with us. When Ms. Lyndsey is not working, she likes to play with her dog, Blue, and bake sweet treats!

    Resource Teacher
    Ms. Malinde earned her degree in Business from Mansfield College. After graduating, she found success in the business world until later finding her passion for education. Ms. Malinde has worked as a Special Educator with age groups 6 weeks to 10 years old since 2017 at the Charles Webb Center. She is excited to shift her focus to primarily working with preschool aged children! In her free time she enjoys shopping and going on trips with her family.

    Ms. Meghan graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development from Charleston Southern University. She has gained experience working with early learners and elementary school aged students through practicum hours. Before joining our school, Ms. Meghan was a Behavioral Therapist working with ages 3-21 years of age. In her free time she enjoys taking her dog, Anabelle, to the park and trying new hobbies with her husband, Jake.

    Kitchen Manager
    Ms. Luz was born in Venezuela and lived in Puerto Rico for 15 years. Mrs. Luz eventually moved back to Venezuela to earn her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad Nacional Abierta. She has since found her passion to be working with early learners where she has gained over 6 years of experience. Ms. Luz has two children with her husband and enjoys jogging in her free time.

    Resource Teacher
    Ms. Anna earned her Bachelors Degree in Child, Adult, and Family Services from Iowa State University before earning a second degree in Family Social Science from University of Minnesota. During her time in school, Ms. Anna enjoyed nannying for families with children ages 2 through 14. After graduating, Ms. Anna worked as a Mental Health Case Manager in Minnesota. She eventually decided to move to Charleston to enjoy sunny, warm weather. She's excited to shift her focus more to child development! In her free time she enjoys going for walks with her boyfriend Nate and reading.

    Ms. Allison has worked in early learning for the past 6 years with different schools in the Charleston area. Although she has worked with all age groups, she has especially loved working with children ages 12-30 months. Ms. Allison is passionate about helping young toddlers work on self help skills and believes that children at that age are capable of much more than we give them credit for! When Ms. Allison is not working she is taking care of her many animals including dogs, cats, snacks, geckos, and even a Chameleon!

    PreK Teacher
    Ms. Brittney earned her Bachelors degree in Marriage and Family Counseling from Northwest University in Kirkland, WA. She began her career in early learning in California where she took Early Childhood Development Courses, gained experience, and eventually moved from a teaching position to Assistant Director. Ms. Brittney later moved to South Carolina with her husband where she worked as an Assistant Director at another childcare center in the Charleston area. She is currently pursuing a degree in Social Work. In her free time she enjoys gardening and spending time outdoors with her husband and 2 children, Elinor and John.

    Resource Teacher
    Ms. Les (short for Leslie) earned her Bachelors degree in Secondary Education from Clemson University. Post grad, Ms. Les followed her passions for beauty by working as a Make Up Artist then eventually decided to stay at home after having her 2 children. Ms. Les found that creating enrichment activities and promoting exploration at home with her children helped her find her passion for education geared towards early learners. In her free time she enjoys taking her children to the beach, going on walks, and crocheting.
