    Owner
    Bill and his wife (Amy) started their Goddard odyssey in January of 2009, opening their first school in Fort Mill, SC. Since then, they have opened 2 additional schools -- all in the Fort Mill/Charlotte area. In preparation for their move to Charleston they have sold all 3 schools and are excited about the opportunity to share Goddard with the Nexton community. Bill has a BA degree from Oglethorpe University and an MBA from Emory University. Bill and Amy also are the proud parents of 3 girls who are all connected to Goddard in some way. Their youngest daughter (Rachel) attended the Goddard School in Twinsburg, Ohio and graduated from Florida State University this past December. Their middle daughter (Tegan), a graduate of CofC, resides in Nexton and has been a teacher/director at our Fort Mill school. Their oldest daughter (Casey) is a graduate of Arizona State and has been a Toddler teacher at the Goddard Fort Mill school, She is now a recruiter living in the Nexton community.

    Amy joined The Goddard School family in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. She taught public school for three years before moving into corporate training and human resources. She and her husband (Bill) opened their first Goddard School in January of 2009. This will be the fourth Goddard School they have opened -- and first in the Charleston area. She and Bill have three daughters -- two of whom live in the Nexton Community. In her free time, Amy enjoys walking her Boykin Spaniel puppy, Toffee and gardening. She is also a terrible knitter.

    Education Director
    Tegan joined Mr. Bill and Ms. Amy at their Dobys Bridge school in April of 2021. Prior to starting at the Goddard school, she earned her degree in International Business with a minor in Global Logistics from the College of Charleston which led her to work in the Transportation industry post grad. She decided to leave the Logistics world behind and joined the Goddard School of Dobys Bridge as a Floater. She eventually moved to lead Junior Kindergarten teacher followed by another move to Director. She has worked as an Operations Director, but thrives in her current role as Education Director where she brings a level of passion when it comes to building our curriculum and supporting Kindergarten Readiness! In her free time, she enjoys taking her dog, Muffin, for walks with her husband Jack.

    Operations DIrector
    Sara joined the Goddard Family in February of 2024. Ms. Sara holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Counseling, Mental Health, and Human Services from Northern Kentucky University. She started her career of caring for and educating children at the age of 12 when she was certified to babysit through the American Red Cross. Ms. Sara has always worked in a field and had a passion for teaching, instructing, and caring for children of all ages. She and her husband, Bryson, have been married for 13 years and have 4 children ages 12, 8, 6, and 4. They recently relocated their family to the Charleston area and are absolutely loving it so far! Ms. Sara spends her weekends watching her children do what they love in the sports of gymnastics, cheer, swimming, soccer, and dance.

    Infant Teacher
    Ms. Hadley earned her BSFCS in Human Development & Family Science from the University of Georgia, where she also taught in the University's child development lab, working mostly with Infants. She also taught in Infants at another local licensed childcare center. For fun, Hadley plays tennis, pickle ball and reads.

    Resource Teacher
    Ms. Luz was born in Venezuela and lived in Puerto Rico for 15 years. Mrs. Luz eventually moved back to Venezuela to earn her Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Universidad Nacional Abierta. She has since found her passion to be working with early learners where she has gained over 6 years of experience. Ms. Luz has two children with her husband and enjoys jogging in her free time.

    Young Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Kim graduated from S.U.N.Y New Paltz with a BS degree in Elementary Education. She went straight into early childhood teaching and has worked with Infants through 4 year olds. Kim joined the Goddard Family in 2016 in the Charlotte market and we're happy that she relocated to Charleston! When she's not teaching, she loves time with her husband David and her dog Bella.

    Todds Teacher
    Sabrina earned a BA in Psychology and also holds an associate degree in Early Childhood Education. Before coming to Goddard, Sabrina taught in a Montessori program with 18-24 month old children. She also taught as an assistant in a special needs program serving children in grades K through 8. When she isn't working, she enjoys reading Danielle Steele novels.

    Todds Teacher
    Aly grew up in Washington State, where she worked as a preschool teacher with 3 year olds for three years. She was also a camp counselor and outdoor educator for 5th graders. When she isn't working, she enjoys swimming and visiting the beach.

    Twos Teacher
    Ms. Jodi earned her BA degree in Political Science from the College of Charleston. After college, Jodi taught at The O'Quinn School working mostly with 4 year olds. She also taught at the MUSC lab school as Lead 4K teacher and was promoted to Assistant Director, where she helped the program earn their NAEYC accreditation. For fun, she spends time with family and loves reading.

    Twos Teacher
    Ms. Ari earned her BS degree in Psychology from Coastal Carolina University. Before coming to Goddard, Ari taught 4K in a licensed childcare center in Charleston. She also was a Registred Behavior Technician in Savannah. She's happy to be back in Charleston as a Twos teacher! For fun, Ari enjoys drawing, eating and self-care.

    PS/PK Teacher
    Ms. Natalie earned her Associate degree in Early Childhood Education from York Technical College in Rock Hill. Before coming to Summerville, she taught with us at our Goddard School in Fort Mill. Her life before Goddard included being a director at a licensed center in James Island for 4 years. When she isn't working, Natalie loves hiking to waterfalls in the area.

    Ms. Kylie earned her bachelor degree in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from Minnesota State University. She taught kindergarten readiness through Head Start in MN as well. Before coming to Goddard, Kylie was a Speech and Language Pathology Assistant at Low Country Therapy. When she isn't working, Kylie loves spending time with her husband and daughter.

    Ms. Peggy earned her Early Childhood Education Certificate from Haywood Community College and has 22 years experience teaching pre-k. Before coming to Goddard in Summerville, she taught at a Goddard School in Mooresville, NC. She loves watching children explore the wonders of learning. In her free time, Peggy loves spending time with Family and going to the beautiful beaches.

    Ms. Yanna earned her bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Sta Maria University in Venezuela before moving to the USA with her husband in 2016. Ms. Yanna pursued her love for education by working in early learning as well as working as a Spanish teacher for elementary school. Later on, she took a break from teaching to enjoy mom life with her two little boys. Now that her boys are older, she is ready to get back to the classroom! When Ms. Yanna is not teaching, she loves reading and spending time with her family - especially at the beach!

    Resource Teacher
    Ms. Dee earned her BS degree in Elementary Ed. with a certification in Special Ed. After college Ms. Dee taught elementary education in the Charleston area, working with 1st through 7th graders. She was a Reading Support Specialist for kindergarten through grade 2. After retiring, she jumped back into ECE and is a wonderful resource for our program. For fun, she plays pickle ball and reads.

    Ms. Cass is a resource and support teacher. Before coming to Goddard, Cass was a resource and assistant teacher in a 2s class. She has also worked as a sous chef at Sorghum & Salt. When she isn't working, Cass enjoys playing guitar, ukulele and drums.

    Ms. Jamie is originally from Tennessee where she attended Western Governors University and earned her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education Studies. After graduating, Ms. Jamie pursued her love of teaching by working with early learners at a center in Johnson City, TN. In Ms. Jamie's free time she enjoys reading and learning new languages. She speaks Danish, Korean, Thai, and Mandarin!
