Welcome to Our School

The Goddard School of Summerville is more than a warm and nurturing place. It's a safe space where your child will discover their extraordinary.

We are excited to be opening the Goddard School in Summerville-Nexton in June of 2024. This is our fourth Goddard School, but first since we moved to the Charleston area in early 2023. Our youngest daughter attended a Goddard School and we were so impressed that we opened our first school in Fort Mill, SC in January of 2009. Meet Amy

Meet Amy

Owner
Amy joined The Goddard School family in 2008. She earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from the University of Tennessee. She taught public school for three years before moving into corporate training and human resources. She and her husband (Bill) opened their first Goddard School in January of 2009. This will be the fourth Goddard School they have opened -- and first in the Charleston area. She and Bill have three daughters -- two of whom live in the Nexton Community. In her free time, Amy enjoys walking her 2 Australian Shepherds and reading for pleasure. She is also a terrible knitter.
