    Owner
    Sarah is the on-site owner of The Goddard School of Mount Pleasant and brings more than a decade of experience in early childhood education and leadership. She began her Goddard journey in 2012 as a classroom teacher, where she developed a strong foundation in creating engaging, nurturing learning environments. She later advanced into a school leadership role as a Director, gaining valuable experience supporting children, families, & educators. As both an educator and a parent, Sarah understands the importance of providing a safe, enriching environment where children can thrive. Her two sons have been part of the Goddard family since they were 3 months old, giving her a unique perspective on the trust families place in their child’s early education. Sarah and her husband are committed to building strong relationships with families and creating a school where every child is encouraged to develop a lifelong love of learning.

    Miss Diana has been in childcare for over 10 years. She has an Associates degree in Information Systems. Miss Diana is a proud Praise and Worship leader at her Church and a Director of the Youth Choir. She loves to laugh, joke and have fun with children!

    Ms. Jodie is a Charleston native who began her teaching journey in 2014 when she volunteered as a room mom in her son’s preschool class. It was then that she discovered her passion for early childhood education. Since that time, Ms. Jodie has worked with children ranging from infants to three years old, bringing warmth, patience, and creativity to every age group. She especially enjoys doing crafts with her students, using hands-on activities to encourage imagination and learning in the classroom.

    Ms. Kandyce has been a part of The Goddard School family for 3 years. Although this is her first official teaching role, her natural creativity, humor, and warmth have made her a favorite among students and staff alike. Known for her outgoing personality and kind heart, Ms. Kandyce brings laughter and joy into the classroom every day. She is compassionate, understanding, and patient with qualities that help her build strong, positive connections with the children in her care.

    A North Charleston, SC native, Mrs. Cassondra has been in the education field for 8 years. Her journey began at just 14 years old when she started volunteering at a home childcare center. Since then, her love for early childhood education has only grown. She finds joy in watching children learn, grow, and light up with excitement when discovering new things. For her, being part of their learning journey is incredibly rewarding.

    Originally from Connecticut, Ms. Jill moved to Mount Pleasant, SC in 2019. With over 7 years of teaching experience, she has a deep passion for connecting with children. She finds joy not only in teaching but also in learning from her students and watching them grow through every stage of development.

    With over 10 years of experience in childcare, Ms. Yanira (GIGI) brings warmth, creativity, and dedication to the classroom. Originally from Longwood, Florida, she moved to South Carolina in 2017 and is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. Her passion for working with children comes from her strong family-oriented values. Ms. Yanira especially enjoys creating beautiful art projects with her students and watching them grow and flourish every day.

    Ms. Caitlyn has been working in childcare since 2018 and brings experience with a wide range of age groups, including children with special needs. Originally from Arizona, she relocated to South Carolina in 2018. Her passion lies in supporting children's learning and development, and she finds great joy in watching them grow, explore, and reach new milestones every day.

    Ms. Tina was born in Florida and raised in South Carolina. During her former husband's military service, she had the opportunity to live in San Diego, California, and Minnesota, where she devoted her time to raising their two sons. In 2018, she returned to South Carolina to continue her career in childcare. With many years of hands-on experience, Ms. Tina holds certifications in Professional Childcare and RIE® (Resources for Infant Educarers), reflecting her commitment to providing nurturing, respectful, and developmentally appropriate care for young children.

    Ms. Kenisha was born in Georgia but lived in South Carolina for a few years. She has been teaching for 20 years. She loves witnessing the unique energy and perspective that children bring to the classroom every day, and she finds it amazing to watch them grow and develop over time. For her, it's incredibly rewarding to know that she is making a positive impact on their lives.

    Rachel’s journey in childcare began with caring for her younger sibling, sparking a lifelong passion for nurturing young minds. With years of experience and a strong foundation in child development, education, and hands-on teaching strategies, she creates peaceful, supportive environments where children feel safe and inspired to grow. As a mother of three, Rachel understands the joys and challenges of parenting and brings warmth, patience, and empathy to her work. Her love for nurturing others, combined with her professional expertise, makes her a dedicated and compassionate caregiver who connects naturally with children and families alike.

    Delaney is passionate about early childhood education and brings a warm, hands-on approach to the classroom. She holds a B.A. in Early Childhood Education from the University of South Carolina and has three years of experience teaching 3rd grade in Charleston County. Her career in education began in college while working at a daycare, followed by several years of nannying after graduation. Originally from Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Delaney moved to Charleston in high school and has called it home ever since. She’s a proud mom to a wonderful daughter and enjoys cooking and crafting in her free time. Delaney is excited to be part of the Goddard community and looks forward to inspiring young learners through creativity, kindness, and connection.

    Ellen has been part of the Goddard family for five years and recently moved to Charleston from Chicago. She has spent the past two years teaching 3–4-year-olds and loves the creativity, curiosity, and energy they bring to the classroom. Her favorite way to teach is through music, making learning fun and engaging her students. Ellen has had a passion for teaching since childhood she fondly remembers setting up a classroom for her baby dolls at age five! She’s excited to bring her warmth, enthusiasm, and experience to the Goddard School in Charleston and looks forward to building meaningful connections with her students and their families.

    Pre School Teacher Ms. Kati is originally from a small town in South Dakota and pursued her education in St. Louis. From an early age, she has had a strong passion for working with children, which naturally led her to a career in early childhood education. Since becoming involved in preschool-level child development, Ms. Katie feels she has truly found her calling. Her dedication and enthusiasm reflect her belief that she is exactly where she’s meant to be supporting young learners during their most important early years.

    Pre School Teacher Mrs. Mindy is originally from Atlanta, Georgia, and has called Mount Pleasant home for the past 12 years. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the College of Charleston and began her teaching career with Early Head Start. With a strong educational background and a passion for early childhood development, Mrs. Mindy is dedicated to creating a nurturing and supportive environment where young learners can thrive.

    Miss Judy discovered her love of teaching after her only daughter was born in 1986. She has a Masters degree in Social Work and a Masters Degree in Education. Miss Judy loves working with children in any capacity that involves nurturing, discovery, exploration and right brained ways of creativity.

    Ms. Zann is originally from Florida but has been called Charleston home for many years. With 3 years plus of experience in early childhood education, she has dedicated her career to nurturing and teaching young children. Ms. Zann finds great joy in guiding children through their early milestones and takes pride in helping them learn and grow. She believes that teaching is not only a rewarding profession but also a true gift one that continues to give through every child she reaches.

    Ms. Sebrina is a caring and dedicated educator who finds true joy in teaching and inspiring young minds. After graduating from high school, she began teaching in her church’s youth ministry, where her passion for working with children quickly became clear. She also gained hands-on experience babysitting in her community, further strengthening her ability to connect with and support children of all ages. What Ms. Sebrina loves most is being in the moment with children playing, laughing, and helping them discover new things. She believes every child deserves to feel seen, heard, and encouraged, and she works hard to create a safe, joyful environment where they can thrive.
