We are recruiting qualified individuals to work full-time or part-time as Assistant Teachers in the founding teaching staff for the Goddard School of Moore. Assistant Teachers will work alongside their Lead Teacher as well as the rest of the teaching staff to create a high-quality, nurturing and educational environment for the children we serve. We are seeking individuals who have a passion for working with children from infancy through Pre-K.

The Assistant Teachers responsibilities includes but is not limited to:

- Assisting the Lead Teacher in all classroom responsibilities

- Creating and implementing lesson plans that provide fun learning experiences through guided play

- Conducting observation and assessments 

- Maintaining Oklahoma Licensing ratios and regulations at all times

- Keeping proper supervision of the children in their care 

- Classroom management

- Changing diapers/aiding in toileting when necessary as well as keeping all children neat and clean

- Promoting healthy eating habits during meals/snacks

- Maintaining a clean and organized classroom

- Producing displays with evidence of learning

- Building relationships with families and children in care


The preferred qualifications of an Assistant Teacher includes:

- Currently enrolled in an AA or BA degree in ECE

- CDA Certification

- High School Diploma – can be entry level

- Prior Teaching Experience in a Preschool Setting or Child Care Center

- Ability to interact closely with children and maintain proper supervision

- Have a genuine love for the care of children and a strong commitment to education

Overview:

The Goddard School of Moore is looking for a Lead Teacher.  We are a high-quality early childhood education center serving children between 6 weeks and 5 years old. We are a supportive and collaborative learning environment for young children which matches our company culture. Our Teachers work together to establish and maintain a safe, healthy, nurturing, and fun learning environment for all of our children. Responsibilities:

As a member of our teaching team, responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

·       Advancing children’s intellectual, social, and physical development.

·       Supporting each child’s emotional development and providing positive guidance.

·       Significantly exceeding all Oklahoma Department of Human Services minimum standards.

·       Ensuring compliance of quality assurance at all times.

·       Lesson planning and execution.

·       Establishing and maintaining positive and effective family relations.

·       Maintaining a clean and presentable classroom.

·       Ensuring an effective and fun learning program.

·       Working as a team.

·       Responding to all children’s needs.

·       Maintaining professional commitment.

Requirements:

·       Strong communication skills and a high level of professionalism.

·       Desire to teach children while having fun.

·       Proven ability to be dependable and on-time according to faculty schedule.

·       Desire to collaborate with others, maintain routine and follow a schedule, and nurture young children.

·       Must be willing to work flexible hours.

·       High school diploma.

 

Desired experience:

·       At least one (1) year experience in a private preschool and/or a group childcare environment preferred.

·       Bachelor’s degree, Associates degree, or current CDA preferred.
