At The Goddard School of Powell, we believe that the start of your child's journey matters. We are so very proud of our wonderful faculty, with degreed & tenured teaching professionals who provide loving, nuturing care. Our superior early childhoood education utilizes Olentangy Schools curricula to meet each child's needs through a play based, inquiry driven approach. Optional conveniences include catered lunch, Pampers diapers & fragrance free wipes and laundry for our Infants. Enroll your Kindergartener in our Private Kindergarent or Enrichment program with OLSD transportation!

Meet Rebecca Owner

My husband, Derik, and I live in Upper Arlington with our daughters Eleanor and Abigail. Prior to joining the Goddard family, I had a 20-year career as a retail merchandising executive. It was my experience as a working mom in search of a high quality, nurturing environment for my daughter that led me on my remarkable journey to Goddard. It was hard to know how to select the best program for Eleanor and we ended up having a bad experience with her first school. Then we found Goddard and saw how much of a difference the teachers, the care, and the curriculum made. This experience inspired me to dedicate myself to providing the very best in early childhood care and learning and to provide a sense of peace and security to you, the families, who leave the best part of yourselves with us every day. I am excited to get to know each and every one of you, and especially to know your children. Please reach out to me any time, my door is always open.

Infant

6 w - 12 m

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.

First Steps

12 - 18 m

We support and encourage children to confidently explore and develop new skills, language and ideas.

Toddlers

18 - 30 m

As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.

Get Set

2.5 - 3 yrs

Little ones begin preschool routines and new ways of play, supporting all areas of continuous development.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.

3 - 4 yrs

In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

Kindergarten

5 - 6 yrs

Hands-on learning and a focus on social-emotional development in our Kindergarten classroom will prepare your child for success in first grade and beyond!

The consistency of the teachers and the lack of turnover is outstanding. I love that I see the same two teachers at pick up and drop off because my child really benefits from that stability. I feel my child comes home happy every day and really has flourished developmentally in the environment. Although your teachers foster independence in the kids, I don't feel like my child is rushed or pressured like my 1st child was in a different daycare, which in the end had a detrimental effect on him.

We weren't sure what to expect from daycare since this was our first child and first year but Goddard has surpassed our expectations. The teachers are so caring and so available to do what is best for our child. I loved how the school integrates fun activities for the kids like water day etc and involves the parents. We have been very pleased with Goddard in terms of its responsiveness, care and attention to details, and all the lovely and caring teachers that work so hard each day!
