    Owner
    We are Ruth & Kyle Arbaugh, the proud owners of The Goddard School of Lewis Center and The Goddard School of Reynoldsburg. We have two young children who both attend Goddard and have dedicated our lives to the education and care of young children. As owners we bring a unique education and business background to our Schools. Ruth was the Dean of a private elementary school and elementary school teacher for over a decade before we joined the Goddard family. She has a Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education and a minor in Human Development and Family Studies from Penn State University as well as additional certification from Harvard University and Yale University. Kyle grew up in Northeast Ohio and spent 15 years as a technology entrepreneur. Prior to our Goddard School ownership his most recent venture was a financial education platform. He attended Ohio Northern University and has a Bachelors of Science in Business Management and Marketing. Our passion is to build a School that helps develop young minds and create a welcoming community for all our parents, students and teachers.

    Miss Erin

    Education Director
    Miss Erin has been at The Goddard School for 12 years, and has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Early Childhood Education from Wittenberg University. She has wanted to be a teacher since she was little and played school with her stuffed animals. Her favorite part of working with children is watching them achieve their “a-ha” moments! There’s nothing better than watching a child’s eyes light up with the excitement of mastering new skills. Miss Erin’s favorite children’s books are Berenstain Bear books and the Pigeon books by Mo Willems. She has fond memories of reading Berenstain Bear books each night before bed. Once she started teaching, she developed a love for Mo Willems, especially his Pigeon books. They make such fun read alouds for the class and can be used to teach across several content areas.

    Miss Sara

    Program Director
    Miss Sara comes to the Goddard School as a graduate of The Ohio State University with her Bachelor’s in Human Ecology and Early Childhood Education. She has worked at the Lewis Center location since 2005 where she started in our Get Set classroom and is now the Program Director. She brings an enthusiasm to learn and bring new experiences to all the children in our program. Her favorite part about working with young children is having conversations with them and hearing what they are thinking about. In her free time she loves to spend time with her family far and near. Her hobbies include crafting, camping, hiking and reading. Miss Sara’s favorite children's book is the Little Critter series by Mercer Mayer because of the many adventures and lessons he learns about in each story.

    Miss Makayla

    Kindergarten Teacher
    Miss Makayla comes to the Goddard School as a graduate from The Ohio State University with her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education. She graduated in 2019 and started her career as a substitute teacher before joining Goddard in July of 2020. She loves engaging children in hands-on activities and loves watching children learn and grow. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outdoors and being around friends and family. Her hobbies include hiking with her dog, watching Netflix, doing crafts, crochet, and painting. Miss Makayla's favorite children’s book series is The Magic Treehouse. The Magic Treehouse series is what started her love for reading when she was younger and holds a lot of great memories. She loves how fun and magical they are and loves sharing them with kids.

    Miss Zainab

    Pre-Kindergarten Teacher
    Miss Zainab comes to The Goddard School with a Bachelor of Arts in English Language from the Al Mustansiriyah University in Baghdad, Iraq. She brings a love of learning and creates a classroom community that encourages inclusion for all learners from all backgrounds. Her favorite part of teaching is seeing the wonder that children bring to the world and guiding them along their learning journey. In her free time she enjoys spending time with her two children, friends, and family. Her hobbies include bowling, painting, eating chocolate and reading. Miss Zainab’s favorite book is “The Hunger Games” by Suzanne Collins because she likes the dystopian aspect to it, and how it combines multiple genres together in one story.

    Older Infant Teacher
    Miss Aleah has been working in early childhood for 7 years and is currently pursuing a degree in Elementary/Special Education and completing a CDA in preschool. She enjoys working with young children because of their zest for life and enthusiasm for learning. It’s always wonderful to see them genuinely enjoying learning and having fun experiencing new things. Her favorite children’s book is Where the Wild Things Are and also enjoys the Magic Treehouse book series. She enjoys spending time with her two puppies and family.
  • Miss Bryce

    Miss Bryce

    Preschool I Teacher
    Ms. Bryce has been teaching at Goddard since 2017. She enjoys being in the classroom and watching her students learn and grow every day. Her favorite book is Tiny T. Rex and the Impossible Hug by Jonathan Stutzman because the characters encourage the reader to never give up and to keep trying to accomplish their goals. Some fun things she loves to do outside of school are watching Netflix, cuddling with her dog, and spending time with her husband, family, and most importantly her son, Grant.

    Kasey

    Older Infant Teacher
    Ms. Kasey comes to the Goddard School as a Graduate Student studying Clinical Psychology at Capella University. She graduated from Ohio State University with her Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, as well as a minor. She plans to be a child/family psychologist once finished with school. Ms. Kasey has always loved working with kids, especially the loving babies. She loves watching children learn and try to understand the world. In her freetime she enjoys baking sweet treats, working out and taking her dog Milo on trips anywhere and everywhere. Ms. Kasey’s favorite childhood books are If You Give a Mouse a Cookie by Laura Numeroff, and the entire Series of Unfortunate Events by Lemony Snicket because they include so much mystery and adventure.

    Jasmine

    Young Infant Teacher
    Miss Jasmine joined Goddard with five years of experience in Infant classrooms and another three years in early childhood education and youth intervention. She has her Bachelor's Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and her two children attend our School! She believes patience and warmth benefit all the children in her classroom as well as a deep understanding of how to guide infants through developmental milestones.
