At The Goddard School of Reno (Somersett), we believe that the start of your child's journey matters. At The Goddard School, Somersett, we believe that our interactions and activities will impact our students, faculty and community for years to come. With a background in business, Denise built this school based on two principles: recruit and retain the best talent and service the customer. This has resulted in a great teaching team who focus on the care and education of their students and a great administrative team who focus on faculty and families.

From infants and toddlers to pre-K, kindergarten and beyond, our classrooms are designed specifically with your little one’s needs in mind.

Infant

6 w - 12 m

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.

Twos

2 - 3 yrs

In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.

Preschool

3 - 4 yrs

In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

A program of Child Care Aware of America, Child Care Aware helps families learn more about the elements of quality child care and how to locate programs in their communities. NEVADA SILVER STATE STARS QUALITY RATING AND IMPROVEMENT SYSTEM

4 STAR

Nevada’s Silver State Stars Quality Rating and Improvement System is a voluntary program used to assess, improve and communicate the level of quality in early childhood programs. Programs are assigned a rating from 1 to 5 stars to assist parents in finding quality care and education provider for their child.

CIRCLE OF EXCELLENCE FOR EDUCATION

The Circle of Excellence Award for Education acknowledges Goddard Schools that provide the highest-quality and most consistent educational programs in every classroom. To be considered for the award, each School must earn one of the top two ratings of its state’s licensing program, become accredited by at least one of the four primary accreditors or achieve P21 (Partnership for 21st Century Learning) Exemplar status. Schools that earn this award represent some of the top education programs in our system.
