    Owner
    Mandy and her husband John are the owners of The Goddard School at Mallard Creek and Highland Creek. Mandy earned a BA in Elementary Education with distinction from Goucher College in Maryland. She has worked in the field of education since 1997. She is a certified personal trainer, an experienced nutrition and wellness consultant and children's fitness specialist. John attended Belmont Abbey College.

    Executive Director
    Ms. Jennifer is our Executive Director. She has a BS in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Early Childhood Education and has her level 3 NC Early Childhood Administration Credentials. Ms. Jennifer is pursuing her master's degree in BK Interdisciplinary Studies in Education and Development with a concentration in Early Childhood Leadership and Program Administration. Ms. Jennifer has worked at the Goddard School since October 2012.

    Director
    Ms Lauren is our Educational Director. She holds her B.A. in Spanish, minor in Elementary Education and her Early Childhood and Administration Credentials. Lauren has been working with young children since 2012 and has been with Goddard since 2014. She has been a two year old teacher, PreK teacher, and the assistant director.

    Assistant Director
    Ms Sarah is the Assistant Director. She was the Lead One Year old teacher for 4 years before being promoted to Assistant Director. Sarah holds a B.A. in Elementary Education and has been early education since 2011. She has been with Goddard since 2012.

    Administrative Assistant
    Ms. Tierra is a wonderful member of our admin team. She is our Admin Assistant. Ms. Tierra has been in Early Education for over 15 years. She has her early education and director credentials and is currently pursuing her degree in sociology and general education. Ms. Tierra's philosophy is with a lot of love, a little structure, and a dedicated heart, teaching can be a fun experience for all.

    Mrs. Erica is our wonderful Steam Teacher. She is currently taking BK courses. She has been in early childhood education for 7 years. Mrs. Erica's teaching philosophy is that every child is unique, find what makes them excited and use it to nourish the greatness that is there.

    Lead Infant Teacher
    Ms. Bri is a lead teacher in our Silly Seals (Infant) classroom. She has a bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Sciences from Radford University. She has been in early childhood education for 2 years. Ms. Bri's teaching philosophy is to focus on creating a safe, nurturing environment. It is key to a flourishing learning atmosphere. Children thrive when they feel safe and loved. It is important to learn what makes each child feel cared for as they are all unique.

    Lead Infant Teacher
    Ms. Sydney is a lead teacher in our Silly Seals (infants) classroom. She has a bachelor’s degree in foreign language in literatures with a minor in public health with a concentration in maternal & child health. She has been in early childhood education for 1 year. Ms. Sydney's teaching philosophy is all children are unique and should have access to safe and creative environments to develop mentally, emotionally, and socially.

    Ms. Kendra is a lead teacher in our Playful Penguins (Toddler) classroom. She has some college education in nursing and has been in early childhood education for 3 years. Ms. Kendra believes in giving children a loving and safe environment.

    Ms. Natalie is a lead teacher in our Wacky Wallabies (First Steps) classroom. She has her North Carolina teaching credentials. She has been in early childhood education for 12 years. Ms. Natalie's teaching philosophy is that children are constantly learning through play and the world around them. As a teacher I feel it is my responsibility to encourage each child to learn in a safe and nurturing environment.

    Ms. Lakenya is a lead teacher in our Wacky Wallaby (toddler) classroom. She is currently pursuing her NC Credentials for Early Childcare with plans on continuing her education for her degree in business management. She has been in early childhood education for one year. Ms. Lakenya's teaching philosophy is teaching in a fun, educational, and healthy environment builds children's brains for a successful future.

    Lead Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Tyeeicha is a lead teacher in our Eager Elephants (Toddler) classroom. She has a BA in Early Childhood Education. She has been in early childhood education for 16 years. Ms. Tyeeicha believes that children learn best through play and repetition. Repetition provides practice children need to master new skills.

    Ms. Michelle is a lead teacher in our Eager Elephants (Twos) classroom. She is currently attending Rowan Cabarrus Community College for her associate degree in B-K teacher licensure. She has been in early childhood education for 5 years. Ms. Michelle's teaching philosophy is to create an environment in which children can reach their full potential.

    Lead Two's Teacher
    Ms. Ty'ti-ana is a lead teacher in our Cheerful Cheetahs (twos) classroom. She currently pursuing her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has been in early childcare for over 8 years. Ms. Ty'ti-ana's teaching philosophy is it is important to make education fun, children this age learn best through play.

    Lead Bridge Teacher
    Ms. LaTora is a lead teacher in our Proud Polar Bears (Bridge) classroom. She is currently an active student college student. She also has her CDA in infant and toddler care. She has been teaching over 12 years. Her teaching philosophy is she teaches to be taught, no child is alike and as a teacher she looks forward to learning from the children, as well as learning different teaching strategies that work for a particular child.

    Mrs. Kim is a lead teacher in our Friendly Foxes (Preschool) classroom. She has a CDA, Credentials 1 and 2 in Early Childhood Education. She has been in early childhood education for 34 years. Mrs. Kim's teaching philosophy is children are unique and must have a stimulating educational environment where they can grow physically, mentally, emotionally, and socially.

    Ms. Briana is a lead teacher in our Friendly Fox (Preschool) classroom. She has her NC Credentials in Early Childhood Education. She has been in early childhood education for 3 years. Ms. Briana's philosophy is teaching provides the opportunity to be a positive and motivational influence in someone else’s life. I want to spread love, safeness, and happiness to all those I am arounds and make learning fun and memorable.

    Ms. Arieana is a lead teacher in our Talkative Toucans (Preschool) Classroom. She graduated from Mallard Creek High School and is currently getting her ECE and ABA degree. Ms. Arieana has been in early childhood education for 1 year. She believes each child learns differently and needs to be taught in a way that works for them.

    Ms. Tamara is a lead teacher in our Talkative Toucans (preschool) classroom. She holds a BS in Sports Medicine. She also has her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials. She has worked in the field of education for 19 years and has been employed with Goddard since October 2016. Ms. Tamara's teaching philosophy is it is important to nurture each child's individual learning experiencing.

    Lead Pre-K Teacher
    Ms. Queen is a lead teacher in our Positive Pandas (Pre-K) classroom. She majored in individual studies, math, and science. In 2015 she graduated with her associate degree. She has been in early childhood education for five years. While working in early childcare she gained experience working with special needs children ages 3 – 12. Ms. Queen's philosophy is a classroom should be safe, caring environment where children are free to express their minds as they blossom and grow. Also, children learn best through play.

    Ms. Kanesha is a lead teacher in our Talented Tigers (Pre-k) classroom. She has her North Carolina Early Childhood Credentials. Ms. Kanesha has worked in Early Childhood Education for 12 years. Ms. Kanesha is devoted to enhancing, developing, encouraging, and molding the minds of young children. She believes children are unique, creative, and imaginative, they need to explore, discover, and learn. “If a child can’t learn the way we teach, maybe we should teach the way they learn.”- Ignacio Estrada.

    Ms. Shyane is a lead teacher in our Talented Tigers (Pre-K) classroom. She has a bachelor’s degree from The University of North Carolina at Pembroke and a minor in English. She has been in early childhood education for 4 years. Ms. Shyane's teaching philosophy is children learn at different paces. She feels it is important that you try to appeal to many different learning styles, so nobody feels left out or behind.

    Mrs. Isma is one of our wonderful floaters. She has a Master of Arts from India and her Early Childhood Education credentials. She has been in the education field for over four years. Mrs. Isma loves to teach. She loves their eagerness to learn. She is eager to teach and lead.

    Ms. Hanan is one of our wonderful floaters. She has a PHD in Educational Foundations. She has been in the teaching field since 1992 and taught children of all ages. Ms. Hanan believes information is the first step to putting our new generation on a path for future education and technology so they can have a good life.

    Educational Support Specialist
    Ms. Yasmeen is one of our wonderful Educational Support Specialist. She has an Associate Degree in Early Education and interned with us from September to December 2023. Ms. Yasmeen's philosophy is that her role as a teacher is to value children and help them develop their skills, interests, and strengths, assisting them to be successful. She loves children and loves making a difference in their lives.

    Ms. Hydeia is one of our wonderful Educational Support Specialist. She is currently attending CSU for her bachelor's in psychology. She has been in early childhood education for one year. Ms. Hydeia's philosophy is it is important to make sure each child is having fun while learning. She feels it is also important to find strategies for each child that will suite them to help their individual learning process.

    Ms. Khyriyyah is one of our wonderful floaters. She has a Bachelor's in Earth Science with a minor in Music. She has been in early childhood education for five months. Ms. Khyriyyah's philosophy is that teachers need to be patient, understanding and kind.

    Ms. Kristen in one of our wonderful support teachers. She is a current student at UNC Charlotte and is studying elementary education. She has been working with children for over 5 years. Ms. Kristen's teaching philosophy is to make all children feel heard and understood to help them grow into strong leaders.

    Ms. Barbara is our wonderful support teacher. She earned a BA in Mathematics from the University of Northern Iowa and has numerous years of experience in the field of education. Ms. Barbara has been employed with Goddard since September 2014. She believes that each child is special and just needs the right environment to reach their full potential.

    Afternoon Educational Support Specialist
    Ms. Mia is a sophomore attending UNCC. She has been working in early childhood education for a little over two years. Ms. Mia's teaching philosophy includes being there for the kids, keeping them engaged, redirecting when needed but cared for always. Ms. Mia knows interaction with children is important, children are our future.
