Our Teachers

As the first Goddard School in Michigan, Kellie was so proud to build and open The Goddard School in Lake Orion in 2007. She has been a part of the Lake Orion/Rochester area her entire life and is committed to providing the highest quality preschool education for the children of her community. Kellie’s passion for educating and caring for children is prevalent the moment you enter her school. It also shows in her charitable work with local children’s charities that share her passion for the importance of high quality early childhood education. Kellie has a BA in Pre-law/Political Science and was also a collegiate tennis player. Her past entrepreneurial business background consisted of owning businesses in real estate, land development and construction.

Emily is the Director of Education. She has a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies from Central Michigan University. She has been with The Goddard School since 2009. She is always enthusiastic about working closely with parents to bring growth, discovery and significance to each child.

Amelia is always ready to support and help the families and children here at Goddard. She has her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Concordia Ann Arbor. Amelia also has 8 years of experience teaching and 1 year of Administration under her belt.

Miss Cynthia is our Spanish Resource Teacher! Cynthia visits our older classrooms three times a week and creates exciting lesson plans to assist the children in learning Spanish as a second language! Cynthia is a very creative person and brings an electric energy into the classroom when she visits which keeps children engaged during the entire lesson!

Miss Avalon is our Music Teacher at The Goddard school. She is currently attending Oakland University to obtain her degree in Music, bringing a fresh perspective and strong foundation in music education.

Miss Ashley is the Lead Teacher in the Infant Classroom. she been working with children since 2009 and her favorite children's book is Brown Bear Brown Bear by Eric Carle. She loves reading books with the children and singing songs during music time!

Miss Anna is an Assistant Teacher in the Infant classroom and has been working in Early Childhood since 2022! she currently working towards her Early Childhood Credential. She enjoys dancing and being silly with the children while they listen to music and her favorite book to read in the classroom is “Bubble Bubbles!”

Miss Salina started as an Assistant Infant Teacher in 2024. She graduated from Oakland University. Her hobbies include cooking, dancing, baking, and traveling. Her favorite children's book to read to the class is "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom".

Miss Lucia is an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Department and has been working children since 2019. Lucia loves reading books with the babies and her favorite children's book is Goodnight Moon!

Miss Cody is the Lead Teacher in the First Steps classroom. She has been working as a childcare professional since 2007 and has her Child Development Associates. Cody is full of energy, ideas and has quickly proven herself to be an outstanding lead. She is loving, fun and brings much joy to the First Steps room.

Miss Erin started as an assistant teacher in the First Steps classroom in 2024. She enjoys the company of children she loves watching them grow and discover. She is a mother of five, likes to crochet, paint, draw, and express herself creatively. Her Favorite book to read in class is Bubbles Bubbles by Kathi Appelt.

Jade started at The Goddard School in 2024 she is an Assistant Teacher in the First Steps Classroom. Her hobbies are hiking and trying new activities. Her favorite book to read in class is "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" or any of the sequels.

Miss MaryAnne is an Assistant Teacher in the First Steps Classroom and has been working with children since 2014. MaryAnne loves singing lullabies with the children and her brings a warm loving presence to every room she enters!

Miss Emma have been with Goddard since 2025. I am currently pursuing my degree in Social Work and am enrolled at Oakland Community College. I enjoy reading, hanging with friends, and trying new things. My favorite child's book is one of the "Pigeon" books.

Miss Krista is the Lead teacher in the Toddler I classroom. She has her B.S. in Early Childhood Education and has been working as a childcare professional since 1998. She loves working with children because it is rewarding to see them learn something new everyday. Krista's creativity and passion to teach have helped to establish her as a great asset to our young toddler class.

Miss Ania is an Assistant Teacher in the Toddler 1 Classroom and has been working in the Early Childhood field since 2016. Ania is currently working towards her Early Childhood Credential and is eager to learn all she can to help in children's development. Her favorite children's book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar!

Miss Elizabeth is an Assistant Teacher in the Toddler 1 Classroom. She has been working with children since 2010. Her favorite activity to do with children is dancing to silly music!

Miss Kylie started at the Goddard School in 2024 and has several years of experience working with children. She is currently working towards her college degree in Social Work. Her favorite book to read with children is "Pete the Cat: I Love my White Shoes."

Miss Karlie is the Lead teacher in the Toddler II classroom. She has been working as a childcare professional since 2013. She is attending Baker College to obtain her Early Childhood degree. She thinks all children are special and can learn from each other as well as their teachers.

Miss Dawn started as an Assistant Toddler Teacher in 2024. She is continuing her Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her favorite hobby includes reading and kayaking. Dawn's favorite book to read to the class is "Giraffes Can't Dance".

Miss Anna has worked in childcare since 2024. She loves to play guitar and her favorite book to read in the classroom to the kids is "The Day the Crayons Quit."

Miss Michelle is the Lead Teacher in the Get Set classroom. She has been working with children since 1998 and is very excited to be part of The Goddard School team. Ms. Michelle has always loved children and feels teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs a person can have.

Miss Taylor is an Assistant Teacher in the Get Set Classroom and has been working with children since 2012. Miss Taylor loves reading books with the children and her personal favorites are The Giving Tree and Pout Pout Fish!

Miss Miora has been at Goddard since 2025. I will be starting college classes this coming school year. I have been volunteering at my church for 3 years now in the Early Childhood Program. My favorite hobby is doing Theater. May favorite children's book to read to the class is "The Good Egg".

Miss Alexis is an Lead Teacher in the Preschool 1 Classroom! She has been working with children since 2023 and enjoys exploring the outdoors with them any chance she gets! Miss Alexis' favorite book to read with the class is Pete The Cat!

Mister Daejaun is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool 1 Classroom! He has been working with children since 2021 and his favorite book to read in the classroom is "A What in the Well"!

Miss Amanda is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool Classroom, she started at the Goddard School in 2024. She has her degree as a Radiology Technician. She likes to train at the gym. Her favorite children's book is "Clifford the Big Red Dog".

Ms. Alayna is the Assistant Teacher in the Preschool 2 classroom. She has been working with children since 2012. She is currently attending Oakland University to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. She believes that children have creative minds and thrive in a nurturing environment. Her favorite children's book is "Where's Spot?" by Eric Hill.

Miss Arianna started at The Goddard School in 2024. She is an assistant teacher in our Preschool 2 classroom. She is currently a student at Macomb Community College and obtaining her Early Childhood Degree. She has a true passion for working with children and has worked as a childcare provider for over 10 years. Her favorite children's book is "Rainbow Fish".

Miss Patricia is an assistant in the Preschool 2 classroom. She has her degree as a Pianist and Music Educator by University of Guadalajara-MX. She started at The Goddard School work in 2024. She loves playing the piano and sharing time with my Husband and my two children, her favorite book is "Hansel and Gretel".

Hi my name is Lucila. I have been working in child care since October of 2019 and have a CDA. I love to take walks in nature and exercise. My favorite book to read to children is "I am a Bunny", by Richard Scarryis.

Miss Melissa is the lead teacher in the Preschool 2 classroom. She joined the Goddard School in 2014 and is currently attending OCC to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Development. She has a lot of fun energy and loves to engage the children in learning activities.

Miss Liberty has been working at the Goddard School since 2025. She has been in Early Childhood for 8 years and will be going to College soon to get her degree. Her favorite hobbies are hanging out with her family and friends, volunteering at her church and reading books. Her favorite children's book is "Brown Bear, Brown Bear".

Miss Elena is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool 2 Classroom. She has been working with children since 2017 and is currently working towards her Childcare Development Associate. Elena enjoys reading books, such as "Duck on a Bike", and dancing with students whenever she can!

Caitlyn is the Lead Teacher of our School Age Program! She obtained her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Oakland University and has been working with children since 2017. Caitlyn gears her activities around her students inquiries to further drive their interest in the classroom!

Miss Hannah is the lead teacher in the PreK classroom. Hannah has a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from Rochester College. She has been an Early Childhood Educator since 2014 and she joined the Goddard team in 2016. Hannah is a wonderful teacher, she brings great joy into the First Steps program.

Mister David started an Assistant PreK Teacher in 2024. He went to Oakland Community College and Oakland University. His Hobbies include watching and playing sports, catching up with friends, and working out. His favorite children's book to read to the classroom is No David.

Miss Vandana is the Lead Teacher in the Junior Kindergarten Classroom. She has been working with children since 2004. She has her master's in arts and is currently working towards my Early Childhood Credential. Her favorite activity to do with children is play games outside!

Miss Priyanka is an Assistant Teacher in our Junior Kindergarten Classroom and has been working with children since 2021. Priyanka is constantly introducing new activities to the classroom to keep children engaged in the learning process! Priyanka's favorite book to read to children is "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus"!

Miss Priyanka is an Assistant Teacher in The Bridge Classroom. She has her master's degree in art which she uses to inspire creativity and expression in children. She enjoys dancing with children and playing peek-a-boo whenever she has a chance. Her favorite children's book is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar."

Miss Abbey is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool 2 Classroom. She has been working with children since 2020 and is full of energy! She loves to dance and sing with the kids to get their bodies moving!
