Our Teachers

As the first Goddard School in Michigan, Kellie was so proud to build and open The Goddard School in Lake Orion in 2007. She has been a part of the Lake Orion/Rochester area her entire life and is committed to providing the highest quality preschool education for the children of her community. Kellie’s passion for educating and caring for children is prevalent the moment you enter her school. It also shows in her charitable work with local children’s charities that share her passion for the importance of high quality early childhood education. Kellie has a BA in Pre-law/Political Science and was also a collegiate tennis player. Her past entrepreneurial business background consisted of owning businesses in real estate, land development and construction.

Emily is the Director of Education. She has a Bachelor's degree in Family Studies from Central Michigan University. She has been with The Goddard School since 2009. She is always enthusiastic about working closely with parents to bring growth, discovery and significance to each child.

Amelia is always ready to support and help the families and children here at Goddard. She has her bachelor's degree in early childhood education from the University of Concordia Ann Arbor. Amelia also has 8 years of experience teaching and 1 year of Administration under her belt.

Miss Cynthia is our Spanish Resource Teacher! Cynthia visits our older classrooms three times a week and creates exciting lesson plans to assist the children in learning Spanish as a second language! Cynthia is a very creative person and brings an electric energy into the classroom when she visits which keeps children engaged during the entire lesson!

I am an Lead Teacher in the Toddler II Classroom. I have been working with children since 2009 and my favorite children's book is Brown Bear Brown Bear by Eric Carle. I love reading books with the children and singing songs during music time!

My name is Ms. Anna, I am a Assistant Teacher in the Infant classroom and having been working in Early Childhood since 2022! I am currently working towards my Early Childhood Credential . I enjoy dancing and being silly with the children while we listen to music and my favorite book to read in the classroom is “Bubble Bubbles”!

I am a graduate from Oakland University. This is my first year working in Early Childhood. My hobbies include cooking, dancing, baking, and traveling. My favorite children's book to read to the class is "Chicka Chicka Boom Boom".

Lucia is an Assistant Teacher in the First Steps Classroom and has been working children since 2019. Lucia loves reading books with the babies and her favorite children's book is Goodnight Moon!

Cody is the Lead Teacher in the First Steps classroom. She has been working as a childcare professional since 2007 and has her Child Development Associates. Cody is full of energy, ideas and has quickly proven herself to be an outstanding lead. She is loving, fun and brings much joy to the First Steps room.

Jade has been working with children for about a year. Her hobbies are hiking and trying new activities. Her favorite book to read in class is "There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Fly" or any of the sequels.

MaryAnne is an Assistant Teacher in the First Steps Classroom and has been working with children since 2014. MaryAnne loves singing lullabies with the children and her brings a warm loving presence to every room she enters!

Krista is the Lead teacher in the Toddler I classroom. She has her B.S. in Early Childhood Education and has been working as a childcare professional since 1998. She loves working with children because it is rewarding to see them learn something new everyday. Krista's creativity and passion to teach have helped to establish her as a great asset to our young toddler class.

Miss Ania is an Assistant Teacher in the Infant Classroom and has been working in the Early Childhood field since 2016. Ania is currently working towards her Early Childhood Credential and is eager to learn all she can to help in children's development. Her favorite children's book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar!

I am an Assistant Teacher in the Toddler 1 Classroom. I have been working with children since 2010. My favorite activity to do with children is dance to silly music!

Hi, my name is Kylie and I have several years of experience working with children. I am currently working towards my college degree in Social Work. My favorite book to read with children is "Pete the Cat: I Love my White Shoes".

Miss Karlie is the Lead teacher in the Toddler II classroom. She has been working as a childcare professional since 2013. She is attending Baker College to obtain her Early Childhood degree. She thinks all children are special and can learn from each other as well as their teachers.

Anna has been in child care for just about a year. She loves to play guitar. Her favorite book to read to the kids is "The Day the Crayons Quit."

Dawn is continuing her Degree in Early Childhood Education. Her favorite hobby includes reading and kayaking. Dawn's favorite book to read to the class is "Giraffes Can't Dance".

Michelle is an Assistant Teacher in the Infant classroom. She has been working with children since 1998 and is very excited to be part of The Goddard School team. Ms. Michelle has always loved children and feels teaching is one of the most rewarding jobs a person can have.

Miss Taylor is an Assistant Teacher in the Get Set Classroom and has been working with children since 2012. Miss Taylor loves reading books with the children and her personal favorites are The Giving Tree and Pout Pout Fish!

I have a Master's Degree in art, which I use to inspire creativity and expression in children. I enjoy dancing with children and playing peek-a-boo whenever I have a chance. My favorite Children's book is "Baby be Kind" and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar".

Miss Alexis is an Lead Teacher in the Preschool 1 Classroom! She has been working with children since 2023 and enjoys exploring the outdoors with them any chance she gets! Miss Alexis' favorite book to read with the class is Pete The Cat!

I have my degree as a Radiology Technician. I have been in Early Childhood Education for almost 1 year now. My hobby is to train at the gym. My favorite children's book is "Clifford the Big Red Dog".

Daejaun is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool I Classroom! He has been working with children since 2021 and his favorite book to read in the classroom is "A What in the Well"!

I am Miss Jamie and I am the Lead Teacher in the Preschool 2 Classroom. I have been working in Child Care since 2005. Jamie loves to be around children and teach them their voice matters. I am currently taking classes in Early Childhood to get her Degree. Her favorite child book is "Escargot" by Dashka Dlater.

I am currently a student at Macomb Community College and obtaining my Early Childhood Degree. I have a true passion for working with children and have worked as a childcare provider/nanny for over 10 years. My favorite children's book is "Rainbow Fish".

I have my Degree as a Pianist and Music Educator by University of Guadalajara-MX. I started to work in Early Childhood in 2024. My hobby is playing the piano and sharing time with my Husband and my 2 children. My favorite book is "Hansel and Gretel".

Melissa is the lead teacher in the Preschool II classroom. She joined the Goddard School in 2014 and is currently attending OCC to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Development. She has a lot of fun energy and loves to engage the children in learning activities.

Miss Elena is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool II Classroom. She has been working with children since 2017 and is currently working towards her Childcare Development Associate. Elena enjoys reading books, such as "Duck on a Bike", and dancing with students whenever she can!

Dion is an Assistant Teacher in our School Age Program and has been working with children since 2015! Dion enjoys running through the sprinklers with our campers on hot summer days and his favorite children's book is "Percy Jackson".

Caitlyn is the Lead Teacher of our School Age Program! She obtained her Bachelors in Elementary Education from Oakland University and has been working with children since 2017. Caitlyn gears her activities around her students inquiries to further drive their interest in the classroom!

Miss Hannah is the lead teacher in the PreK classroom. Hannah has a bachelor degree in Early Childhood Education from Rochester College. She has been an Early Childhood Educator since 2014 and she joined the Goddard team in 2016. Hannah is a wonderful teacher, she brings great joy into the First Steps program.

Hi my name is Lucila. I have been working in child care since October of 2019 and have a CDA. I love to take walks in nature and exercise. My favorite book to read to children is "I am a Bunny", by Richard Scarryis.

I am the Lead Teacher in the Junior Kindergarten Classroom! I have been working with children since 2004, I have a Masters in Arts and am currently working towards my Early Childhood Credential. My favorite activity to do with children is play games outside!

Miss Priyanka is an Assistant Teacher in our Junior Kindergarten Classroom and has been working with children since 2021. Priyanka is constantly reintroducing new activities to the classroom to keep children engaged in the learning process! Priyanka's favorite book to read to children is "Don't Let The Pigeon Drive The Bus"!

Miss Abbey is an Assistant Teacher in the Preschool II Classroom. She has been working with children since 2020 and is full of energy! She loves to dance and sing with the kids to get their bodies moving!

Ms. Alayna is the Assistant Teacher in the Preschool II classroom. She has been working with children since 2012. She is currently attending Oakland University to obtain a degree in Early Childhood Education. She believes that children have creative minds and thrive in a nurturing environment. Her favorite children's book is "Where's Spot?" by Eric Hill.

My name is Ms. Sydney, I am an Assistant Teacher in the First Steps classroom and have been working with children since 2023! I enjoy singing with the children while rocking them to sleep and my favorite song is “Twinkle Twinkle Little Star”

Miss Avalon is an Assistant teacher in the Toddler II Classroom and has been working with children since 2017. Avalon loves dancing with children and singing silly songs whenever she has a chance! Her favorite book to read with children is The Napping House.

I am currently a senior at Northwood University. I will be receiving my Bachelors Degree in Entrepreneurship. I've been in Early Childhood for about 3 years, starting with babysitting, and then went to my first center. I love baking, cosmetology, and playing with my nieces. My favorite childhood book to read is either "No David, No" or "If You Give a Mouse a Cookie."
