Our Goddard School Teachers

Dipti is the owner of The Goddard School located in Millersville. She opened her first location in Hanover, MD and loves Goddard's philosophy in education and their emphasis on safety and security. Dipti earned a bachelor's of science degree from the University of Maryland. She is also the proud parent of two Goddard alum, one who is now in college! Dipti and the administration team work side-by-side to create the best Goddard experience for the children, families, teachers, and community. Our collaborative work environment and pursuit of continuous quality improvements has earned us the Educational Excellence Award two years in a row!

Welcome to The Goddard School in Millersville! Hi! I’m Courtney, the On-Site Owner at The Goddard School in Millersville. I have been with the school since it’s opening in 2014 and have been working in childcare since my high school years. Over time, I have held several positions from teacher to director and now owner. Throughout my career, I have earned an associate and bachelor’s degree, hold a level 6 Maryland Credential, and am the President of the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the Maryland State Child Care Association. At home, I am a wife and mom of 2. As a family, we enjoy trips to the beach, camping, and being outdoors! Here at the Millersville location, we strive to provide quality child care. We are accredited through the Maryland State Department of Education and participate in our state’s quality improvement rating system called Maryland EXCELS. We are committed to standards of excellence while continuously seeking ways to improve.

Mr. Josh, the Director, joined our Goddard School Family in July of 2017. Josh studied Psychology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Josh holds a Level 4 Maryland Credential, and is state qualified in Infant/Toddler, Preschool and School-Age care. He is certified in Medication Administration, along with First Aid and CPR. Mr. Josh spent two years teaching prekindergarten for TCPS and spent an additional 2 years teaching in our preschool & prekindergarten classrooms. A true believer in teamwork and open communication, Josh strives to maintain a collaborative and unified culture amongst our teachers. As a way to celebrate the excellence in our team, Josh & Courtney began awarding two distinguished staff members with the #TeamMillersville Teacher of the Year award, each year. Josh is a leading member of our schools Curriculum Committee. In his free time, Mr. Josh & his wife, Megan, enjoy traveling to the Delaware beaches and visiting local bookstores.

Mrs. Melinda joined our Goddard Family in August of 2019. Melinda graduated from The University of Colorado, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. She is state qualified in Preschool care and is First Aid and CPR Certified. Melinda holds a level 4+ Maryland Credential and is a leading member of our Curriculum Committee! She earned Teacher of the Year in 2020 and Honorable Mention in 2022! Fun fact about Melinda, she is a self proclaimed military brat and military wife, and has lived in Germany, Belgium, Japan and the Netherlands!

Ms. Maya came to the United States in 2018 as an au-pair in Ellicott City and has been living in Maryland ever since. She lives in Glen Burnie with her husband Matt and had been a teacher in our Infant room since October 2021, before transitioning to the role of Infant/Toddler Curriculum Coordinator in August 2025. Ms. Maya is earned her CDA in Infants and Toddlers in June of 2024! Her favorite thing about working with babies is watching them grow!

Ms. Alexa joined our Goddard family in Spring 2022! She has her 90-hour preschool certification and CPR and First Aid Certified! Ms. Alexa has over 3 years of experience working with children as a gymnastics coach! Ms. Alexa is an active member of our school's Curriculum Committee! Ms. Alexa was awarded Teacher of the Year 2023 for her outstanding performance in the classroom.

Ms. Stephanie joined our team in August of 2024, as a member of the Manatees classroom! Stephanie earned an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education from Anne Arundel Community College and is currently First Aid & CPR certified. Stephanie is an Orioles fan and enjoys spending exploring the eastern shore with her boyfriend!

Ms. Jonesse first joined our Goddard team in 2021, as a high school student! After taking some time away from the school to focus on her college journey, she rejoined us in September of 2023. Jonesse is currently enrolled at AACC, where she is studying cyber security. Jonesse is First Aid & CPR certified.

Ms. Ara Mae joined our Goddard team in early 2022! She earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and Psychology! We applaud Ara Mae for her inclusive and creative teaching style. Ms. Ara Mae is an avid hiker and climber! She got engaged at the top of a climb (her dog was there, too!) and recently got married at the top of that same mountain!

Ms. Wendy became a member of our Goddard Family in March of 2016. She recently graduated from Towson University, where she earned a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Wendy holds a Level 6 Maryland Credential, is state qualified in Preschool and School-Age Care and is First Aid and CPR Certified. She is an active member of our Curriculum Committee. Ms. Wendy was awarded Teacher of the Year 2022 for her outstanding performance in the classroom. She is driven by the success of every student in her classroom!

Ms. Logan joined our Goddard Team in February 2021! She is actively pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Logan is State Qualified in Preschool care and First Aid and CPR Certified! Fun fact about Ms. Logan, she has an impressive Squishmallows collection and teaches dance! Logan is an active member of our Curriculum Committee! Ms. Logan was awarded Teacher of the Year 2023 for her outstanding performance in the classroom.

Ms. Carissa, a preschool teacher, has been a part of our Goddard Family since January of 2016. Carissa earned a Child Development Associate's, holds a Level 4 Maryland Credential, is state qualified in Preschool care, and is First Aid and CPR Certified. Ms. Carissa is in active pursuit of an associate's degree in early childhood education! Having been with our school for over 9 years, Carissa has created a strong bond and sense of trust with the director team; and is the first in line to assist in the office when the director team is offsite. Carissa is an active member of our Curriculum Committee.

Ms. Cate originally joined our school as a summer hire back in 2023, and recently rejoined us as a full-time staff member in September 2024, upon completing her degree! Cate earned a Bachelors of Art Degree from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA,) and has also earned her 90-clock hour Preschool certification. Cate has recently joined the Lions classroom, and has quickly become an integral part of the team!

Ms. Kristi, a two year old teacher, joined the Goddard School Family in July of 2014. She has earned a Level 3 Maryland Credential, is state qualified in Infant/Toddler, Preschool and School-Age care, and is First Aid and CPR Certified. As one of our senior employees, Ms. Kristi thrives at working with our newest teachers to help them become knowledgeable in the health and safety procedures and infant/toddler care.

Miss Lilly joined our Goddard team in 2023 and trained as Resource Teacher before joining the Elephants classroom! Lilly is currently enrolled in a program to earn a Child Development Associate in Infant/Toddler care, and is currently state qualified in preschool care. Lilly is First Aid & CPR certified. Lilly comes from a big family, with four younger brothers, and currently resides in Odenton with her family.

Ms. Jen, a two-year-old teacher, joined our Goddard Family in August of 2014. She earned a bachelor's degree from Frostburg State University. Jen holds a Level 5 Maryland Credential, is state qualified in Preschool care, and First Aid and CPR Certification. In total, Jen has 10 years of experience working with Goddard School's. Around our school, Jen is known by all as she builds long-lasting relationships with the children in her care. Ms. Jen earned Teacher of the Year in 2021! Jen is an active member of our Curriculum Committee!

Ms. Brooklyn, our Mighty Monkeys teacher, joined our school in 2022! She is actively pursuing a master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Ms. Brooklyn enjoys creating lasting relationships with the children under her care and if she could, she would continue to move with them as they transition through the school.

Ms. Amanda joined our Bears team in 2024 with over 20 years of experience in the early childhood education field. She earned her 90 Hour Preschool Certification and is trained in First Aid & CPR and Medication Administration. Ms. Amanda is a wonderful addition to our Bears team and our school!

Ms. Kat joined our Goddard team in 2022, and spent a year teaching PreK, before moving to the Pandas classroom! Kat earned an associate’s degree in Elementary Education from Anne Arundel Community College and recently graduated with bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Ms. Kat is a lifelong learner and makes it her goal to be well versed in all areas of our school’s curriculum and areas of development. She currently resides in Millersville with her boyfriend, Ian and their cat, Phoebe. We are excited to welcome our diet coke loving friend to the team! Kat is state qualified for infant/toddler and preschool care and is First Aid & CPR certified.

Ms. Gabby is one of our infant teachers and joined our school in 2023! She has her 90 Hour Infant and Toddler Certification and is working to become a foster parent! Ms. Gabby is passionate about caring for infants and enjoys being in the Cuddly Cubs and Playful Pandas classrooms!

Miss Allyson joined our Goddard team in 2022, and started as Resource Teacher before transitioning to a Pandas teacher! Allyson is state qualified in preschool care, certified in First Aid & CPR and graduated from Anne Arundel Community College, where she earned a degree in psychology. Allyson is currently studying to earn a bachelors degree in psychology from the University of Maryland, College Park. Miss Allyson is the youngest of 7 siblings and loves to read Colleen Hoover books in her down time.

Miss Cheyenne joined our Goddard team in 2021, and has primarily worked with the infant classrooms. Cheyenne is First Aid & CPR certified, and has earned her 90 clock hour certification! Miss Cheyenne is a Baltimore Ravens fan, and resides in Pasadena with her family.

Ms. Chanel joined our Goddard team in November of 2024! She previously worked at another local center as a lead preschool teacher and made the decision to join our school as way to gain more experience in all age groups. Chanel is currently the third Lead Teacher in our Cubs Teaching Trio, and has been enjoying her time with our youngest students! Chanel earned an Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education from Anne Arundel Community College, is Infant/Toddler, Preschool and School qualified for the state of Maryland, and is First/CPR certified.

Ms. Stacy joined our Goddard Team in September 2021. She is our Kitchen Manager who preps school snacks and warms lunches! Stacy previously worked as a toddler teacher in our Bears classroom, before making the switch to Kitchen Manager. Ms. Stacy will also assist in the classrooms, as needed!

Ms. Eileen joined our school in 2023 and can be seen traveling throughout the school helping in a variety of ways! Ms. Eileen helps in the classrooms and kitchen. She has 7 grandchildren and truly enjoys being around young children, and wishing she had some of their energy!

Ms. Mary joined our Goddard family in June of 2024 as the Lead Teacher in our Bears classroom, before transitioning to a Resource Teacher role! Mary comes to us with over 20 years of experience, having worked in other local centers as an infant teacher or assistant director. She has earned an Infant/Toddler CDA, along with many other certifications such as the 90-clock hour Preschool certificate, Medication Administration and Emergency Preparedness. Mary is also First Aid & CPR certified.

Ms. Karen joined our team in 2024. She recently graduated from high school and is currently studying Psychology at Anne Arundel Community College! Ms. Karen works with all of the classrooms and is here in the afternoons. She is a wonderful teacher and we are better because of her!

Mr. Xaiver joined our school as a resource teacher in October of 2022. He recently graduated from North County High School and is in active pursuit of a bachelor's degree. Mr. Xavier is the son of Ms. Maria and enjoys working alongside her in the toddler classroom!

Ms. Brianna "Bri" joined our team in September of 2024 as a Resource Teacher! Bri works predominantly with the Bears and Monkeys classroom, and has quickly found passion the toddler classrooms! Bri is currently First Aid & CPR certified,

Ms. Aisha joined our school in August of 2024 as a Resource Teacher! She is currently studying Elementary Education at Anne Arundel Community College. Typically, you can find Aisha assisting in one of our Prekindergarten classrooms, though she is happy to assist in all age groups! Aisha is currently First Aid & CPR certified.

Ms. Sharon joined our Goddard family in 2022 and has been an integral part of our team ever since! Sharon comes to us with over 30 years of experience, and as a military wife has had the opportunity to teach preschool all over the United States, along with Germany & Japan, while being stationed there with her husband . She is state qualified for Preschool care and is First Aid and CPR Certified.
