Our Teachers

Welcome to The Goddard School in Millersville! Hi! I’m Courtney, the On-Site Owner at The Goddard School in Millersville. I have been with the school since it’s opening in 2014 and have been working in childcare since my high school years. Over time, I have held several positions from teacher to director and now owner. Throughout my career, I have earned an associate and bachelor’s degree, hold a level 6 Maryland Credential, and am the President of the Anne Arundel County Chapter of the Maryland State Child Care Association. At home, I am a wife and mom of 2. As a family, we enjoy trips to the beach, camping, and being outdoors! Here at the Millersville location, we strive to provide quality child care. We are accredited through the Maryland State Department of Education and participate in our state’s quality improvement rating system called Maryland EXCELS. We are committed to standards of excellence while continuously seeking ways to improve.

Dipti is the owner of The Goddard School located in Millersville. She opened her first location in Hanover, MD and loves Goddard's philosophy in education and their emphasis on safety and security. Dipti earned a bachelor's of science degree from the University of Maryland. She is also the proud parent of two Goddard alum, one who is now in college! Dipti and the administration team work side-by-side to create the best Goddard experience for the children, families, teachers, and community. Our collaborative work environment and pursuit of continuous quality improvements has earned us the Educational Excellence Award two years in a row!

Mr. Josh, the Director, joined our Goddard School Family in July of 2017. Josh studied Psychology at the University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Josh holds a Level 3 Maryland Credential, and is state qualified in Infant/Toddler, Preschool and School-Age care. He is certified in Medication Administration, along with First Aid and CPR. Mr. Josh spent two years teaching prekindergarten for TCPS and spent an additional 2 years teaching in our preschool & prekindergarten classrooms. A true believer in teamwork and open communication, Josh strives to maintain a collaborative and unified culture amongst our teachers. As a way to celebrate the excellence in our team, Josh & Courtney began awarding two distinguished staff members with the #TeamMillersville Teacher of the Year award, each year. Josh is a leading member of our schools Curriculum Committee. In his free time, Mr. Josh & his wife, Megan, enjoy traveling to the Delaware beaches and visiting local bookstores.

Mrs. Melinda joined our Goddard Family in August of 2019. Melinda graduated from The University of Colorado, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in social sciences. She is state qualified in Preschool care and is First Aid and CPR Certified. Melinda holds a level 4+ Maryland Credential and is a leading member of our Curriculum Committee! She earned Teacher of the Year in 2020 and Honorable Mention in 2022! Fun fact about Melinda, she is a self proclaimed military brat and military wife, and has lived in Germany, Belgium, Japan and the Netherlands!

Ms. Sydney, our Assistant Director, became a part of our Goddard Family in June of 2019. She earned a bachelor's degree in psychology in 2023! She is state qualified for Preschool care and is First Aid and CPR Certified. Sydney is an active member of our Curriculum Committee! Ms. Sydney earned our Teacher of the Year Award for her excellence in and out of the classroom! Congratulations, Ms. Sydney! This is an award well earned!

Ms. Alexa joined our Goddard family in Spring 2022! She has her 90-hour preschool certification and CPR and First Aid Certified! Ms. Alexa has over 3 years of experience working with children as a gymnastics coach! Ms. Alexa is an active member of our school's Curriculum Committee!

Ms. Jonesse first joined our Goddard team in 2021, as a high school student! After taking some time away from the school to focus on her college journey, she rejoined us in September of 2023. Jonesse is currently enrolled at AACC, where she is studying cyber security. Jonesse is First Aid & CPR certified.

Ms. Rebecca joined our school in 2023 and is the Lead teacher in the Eagles classroom. Rebecca earned her Child Development Associate in Preschool care, is state qualified for Infant/Toddler, Preschool, and School-Age care and is First Aid & CPR certified. We are excited to have Rebecca as a member of our team!

Ms. Ara Mae joined our Goddard team in early 2022! She earned a Bachelors Degree in Nursing and Psychology! We applaud Ara Mae for her inclusive and creative teaching style. Ms. Ara Mae is an avid hiker and climber! She got engaged at the top of a climb (her dog was there, too!) and recently got married at the top of that same mountain!

Ms. Liz joined our team in 2019! She is currently in pursuit of her Bachelor's Degree from Towson University in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Liz is state qualified and First Aid and CPR Certified! Ms. Liz was our Teacher of Year in 2021 for her dedication to the children, classroom, and families! She is kind, energetic, fun, engaging, and nurturing! Ms. Liz is an active member of our Curriculum Committee!

Ms. Wendy became a member of our Goddard Family in March of 2016. A current student at Towson University, Wendy is in pursuit of her bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. Wendy holds a Level 2 Maryland Credential, has an associate's degree from Howard Community College, is state qualified in Preschool and School-Age Care and is First Aid and CPR Certified. She is an active member of our Curriculum Committee. Ms. Wendy was awarded Teacher of the Year 2022 for her outstanding performance in the classroom. She is driven by the success of every student in her classroom!

Ms. Carissa, a preschool teacher & closing manager, has been a part of our Goddard Family since January of 2016. Carissa earned a Child Development Associate's, holds a Level 4 Maryland Credential, is state qualified in Preschool care, and is First Aid and CPR Certified. Ms. Carissa is in active pursuit of an associate's degree in early childhood education! Having been with our school for over 8 years, Carissa has created a strong bond and sense of trust with the director team; and is the first in line to assist in the office when the director team is offsite. Carissa is an active member of our Curriculum Committee.

Ms. Amanda joined our Giraffes team in 2024 with over 20 years of experience in the early childhood education field. She earned her 90 Hour Preschool Certification and is trained in First Aid & CPR and Medication Administration. Ms. Amanda is a wonderful addition to our Giraffes team and our school!

Ms. Adriannah joined our Goddard Team in summer of 2022! She is currently enrolled at AACC in pursuit of a degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Adriannah has quickly connected with the three-year-old's and has found her happy home in the Cheetahs. Adriannah is state qualified in preschool care, and is First Aid & CPR certified. Adriannah is an active member of our schools Curriculum Committee.

Miss Crystal joined our Goddard team in 2022, as the assistant teacher in the Cheetahs classroom. Crystal is First Aid & CPR certified and is currently attending Anne Arundel Community College. She enjoys going to thrift stores and attending concerts.

Ms. Logan joined our Goddard Team in February 2021! She is actively pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Logan is State Qualified in Preschool care and First Aid and CPR Certified! Fun fact about Ms. Logan, she has an impressive Squishmallows collection and teaches dance! Logan is an active member of our Curriculum Committee!

Miss Ashala joined our Goddard team in 2023! Ashala is currently enrolled at Howard Community College, where she is working towards her 90-clock hour Infant/Toddler certification. Miss Ashala loves to keep busy in the classroom and can be found exploring centers with students, or dancing at the circle time carpet.

Ms. Kayla, our Zany Zebras teacher, rejoined our school in 2023 and was previously with us in 2019-2020 as an infant classroom assistant teacher. Now as the Zebras teacher, Ms. Kayla enjoys all those teachable moments that happen organically throughout the day! Ms. Kayla has her 90 Clock Hour Preschool Certification and is certified in First Aid and CPR.

Ms. Caitie joined our Goddard team in April 2023, with 8 years of previous experience, 4 of those years with another Goddard as a Preschool/Pre-K teacher then the Assistant Director. She was born and raised in Northeast PA, along with 4 brothers & sisters! She relocated to Baltimore when at age 20, and now lives locally with her husband, Ray and their pup, Boomer! She is excited to continue her teaching journey and experiencing her favorite thing in the classroom – those “ah-ha” moments from every child!

Ms. Sharon joined our Goddard family in 2022 and has been a member of the Zebras crew ever since! Sharon comes to us with over 30 years of experience, and as a military wife had the opportunity to teacher preschool all over the country. She is state qualified for Preschool care and is First Aid and CPR Certified.

Ms. Jen, a two-year-old teacher, joined our Goddard Family in August of 2014. She earned a bachelor's degree from Frostburg State University. Jen holds a Level 5 Maryland Credential, is state qualified in Preschool care, and First Aid and CPR Certification. In total, Jen has 10 years of experience working with Goddard School's. Around our school, Jen is known by all as she builds long-lasting relationships with the children in her care. Ms. Jen earned Teacher of the Year in 2021! Jen is an active member of our Curriculum Committee!

Ms. Kristi, a two year old teacher, joined the Goddard School Family in July of 2014. She has earned a Level 3 Maryland Credential, is state qualified in Infant/Toddler, Preschool and School-Age care, and is First Aid and CPR Certified. As one of our senior employees, Ms. Kristi thrives at working with our newest teachers to help them become knowledgeable in the health and safety procedures and infant/toddler care.

Miss Lilly joined our Goddard team in 2023 and trained as Resource Teacher before joining the Monkeys classroom! Lilly is currently enrolled in a program to earn a Child Development Associate in Infant/Toddler care, and is currently state qualified in preschool care. Lilly is First Aid & CPR certified. Lilly comes from a big family, with four younger brothers, and currently resides in Odenton with her family.

Ms. Brooklyn, our Mighty Monkeys teacher, joined our school in 2022! She is actively pursuing a master's degree in Speech and Language Pathology. Ms. Brooklyn enjoys creating lasting relationships with the children under her care and if she could, she would continue to move with them as they transition through the school.

Mrs. Moontaha, is one of the Monkeys teachers and is lovingly known as Ms. "Moon" to her 2-year-olds. Originally from Bangladesh, Moon moved to Maryland with her husband and joined our school in June of 2023. Moon earned a bachelors degree in computer sciences from a local university while residing in Bangladesh, and is currently working towards her state qualifications for Maryland. Moon is First Aid & CPR certified.

Ms. Tonia, our toddler teacher, has been a member of our Goddard team since August of 2014. She earned an Infant/Toddler Child Development Associates and is currently pursuing a Child Development Associates in Preschool. Tonia holds a Level 3 Maryland Credential, is State qualified in Preschool and Infant/Toddler Care, and is First Aid and CPR Certified. Tonia owned and operated a licensed in-home family care center for over 10 years and had 2 years of Goddard experience when she began working with us. Tonia is an active member of our Curriculum Committee!

Ms. Maria has been a teacher with our school since 2015! She earned an associates degree in Early Childhood Education from AACC and is First Aid and CPR Certified. She is the proud parent of 3; her oldest was a teacher with us before pursing a position in her career field and her son currently works with us part-time! In the classroom, Maria enjoys arts and crafts and sensory and science! Maria is an active member of our Curriculum Committee!

Miss Kat joined our Goddard team in 2022, and spent a year teaching PreK, before moving to the Pandas classroom! Kat earned an Associates Degree in Elementary Education from Anne Arundel Community College, and is currently pursing her Bachelor's Degree from University of Maryland, Baltimore County. Kat is state qualified for infant/toddler and preschool care, and is First Aid & CPR certified.

Miss Allyson joined our Goddard team in 2022, and started as Resource Teacher before transitioning to a Pandas teacher! Allyson is state qualified in preschool care, certified in First Aid & CPR and graduated from Anne Arundel Community College, where she earned a degree in psychology. Miss Allyson is the youngest of 7 siblings and loves to read Colleen Hoover books in her down time.

Ms. Maya came to the United States in 2018 as an au-pair in Ellicott City and has been living in Maryland ever since. She lives in Glen Burnie with her husband Matt and has been a teacher in our Infant room since October 2021. Ms. Maya is currently working on earning her CDA in Infants and Toddlers. Her favorite thing about working with babies is watching them grow!

Miss Cheyenne joined our Goddard team in 2021, and has primarily worked with the infant classrooms. Cheyenne is First Aid & CPR certified, and is pursuing her 90 clock hour certification! Miss Cheyenne is a Baltimore Ravens fan, and resides in Pasadena with her family.

Ms. Gabby is one of our infant teachers and joined our school in 2023! She has her 90 Hour Infant and Toddler Certification and is working to become a foster parent! Ms. Gabby is passionate about caring for infants and enjoys being in the Cuddly Cubs and Playful Pandas classrooms!

Ms. Kim joined our Goddard Team in the summer of 2022. She has a bachelor's degree in Spanish Language, Hispanic Literature, and Culture from the College at Old Westbury State University of New York. Ms. Kim is First Aid and CPR Certified!

Ms. Stacy joined our Goddard Team in September 2021. She is our Kitchen Manager who preps school snacks and warms lunches! Stacy previously worked as a toddler teacher in our Bears classroom, before making the switch to Kitchen Manager. Ms. Stacy will also assist in the classrooms, as needed!

Ms. Rosemary joined our Goddard Team in October 2021. She is our kitchen manager who preps school snacks and warms lunches! Ms. Rosemary will also assist in the classrooms, as needed!

Mr. Xaiver joined our school as a resource teacher in October of 2022. He recently graduated from North County High School and is in active pursuit of a bachelor's degree. Ms. Xavier is the son of Ms. Maria and enjoys working alongside her in the toddler classroom!

Ms. M'Kenya, a student at Lincoln University and is majoring in psychology, works with us on her breaks from college! M'Kenya has been a resource teacher with us since her high school days and we are thrilled she still chooses us during her college days! M'Kenya helps in all of our classrooms throughout the school and she is a wonderful asset to our team!

Ms. Karen joined our team in 2024. She is in her senior year of high school! Ms. Karen works with all of the classrooms and is here in the afternoons. She is a wonderful teacher and we are better because of her!

Ms. Amaira joined our team in the summer of 2023. She is a graduating high school senior who will be going to Wingate University in North Carolina this upcoming fall to major in Exercise Science! Though Ms. Amaira will be in North Carolina, she will still be here during the summer and on her breaks to help! She is both CPR/First Aid certified and is working towards her Preschool Child Development Associates.

Ms. Eileen joined our school in 2023 and can be seen traveling throughout the school helping in a variety of ways! Ms. Eileen helps in the classrooms and kitchen. She has 7 grandchildren and truly enjoys being around young children, and wishing she had some of their energy!
