  • Mrs Johann

    Mrs Johann

    Co-Owner
    Johann Hunter is the co-owner of The Goddard School located in Charlestown. Johann and her husband Mark have a daughter and two young sons. They recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Johann is excited to be able to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Subsequent to earning her Bachelor's degree in Economics and MBA in Business Management Johann found herself entrenched in the educational development of her oldest son. As a result, Johann developed a passion for early childhood education and, understands the importance of these critical foundational years. She looks forward to sharing her passion with the families of Charlestown.

    Co-Owner
    Mark Anthony Hunter is the on-site co-owner of The Goddard School of Middleton. Mark and his wife, Johann, have a daughter and two young sons. They recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Mark and Johann are excited to be able to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Their goal is to be a resource for families as well as a school community where parents can share information and learn from each other.     Allison

    On-Site Operator
    Ms. Allison is the On-Site operator at our school. Holding a DII certification in Massachusetts, Allison has been in childcare administration for sixteen years, seven of which have been with Goddard. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from The University of Massachusetts at Amherst and a Master’s Degree in Education from Cambridge College. She is currently working towards an MBA in Leadership and Conflict Resolution. Ms. Allison loves helping children (and teachers!) discover their innate talents and passions. Her favorite experience is always the "lightbulb moment" when a child discovers something new for the very first time. As a mother of two, she understands the importance of finding high quality early education and care. Residing on the North Shore, Ms. Allison is excited to work in the welcoming and historic community of Charlestown.

    Ms Hanna

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Hanna brings a depth of experience and passion for early childhood education. Originally from Germany, she completed her teacher training there and holds a master's degree in Early Education and Media. Hanna has had the opportunity to work in various countries, enriching her understanding of diverse educational systems and cultures. Ms. Hanna’s love for STEAM and coding for kids fuels her drive to inspire creativity and problem-solving skills in young learners. She is dedicated to fostering an environment where children can explore, discover, and grow through engaging learning experiences. What she finds most rewarding is seeing children’s excitement in the small, everyday moments, like when they discover the magic of bubbles. It’s those moments of realization and wonder that inspire her work, as she strives to cultivate curiosity and a love for learning in every child.

    Dorothy’s journey in childcare began at a young age, growing up in a home where her mother operated a family daycare. Naturally, she spent a lot of time outside of school helping her mother care for the children, which led to a deep love and connection with working with kids and watching them grow. She enjoys working in early education because it gives her the opportunity to help shape the minds of tomorrow while witnessing the excitement of children discovering and learning about the world around them. Dorothy is particularly fond of the book “Mama, Do You Love Me?” by Barbara M. Joosse, which reflects her outlook as both a teacher and a parent—one that’s filled with unconditional patience, care, and love. With a passion for sensory and artistic activities, Dorothy loves creating interactive sensory bins and bags that allow children to explore through touch, sight, and creativity.

    Miss De’Lea is a passionate and caring early childhood educator who believes that every child deserves to feel safe, valued, and excited to learn. She is dedicated to creating a classroom where little learners feel seen, heard, and supported as they explore the world around them. With a heart full of love and a natural gift for connecting with children, Miss De’Lea brings warmth, creativity, and adaptability to every day. She loves turning simple moments into joyful learning experiences, sparking curiosity, and encouraging each child to shine in their own unique way. One of her favorite children’s books is Just Try One Bite, a delightful story about kids encouraging their parents to eat healthier. She loves sharing this book because it inspires fun conversations about food, choices, and trying new things—always with a little laughter along the way!

    Ms. Edeara grew up in Prince George’s County, Maryland, and moved to Boston, MA, right after graduating high school. She followed her passion for early childhood education by attending Urban College of Boston and Bunker Hill Community College. With 7 years of experience in childcare, she has a special love for working with infants and toddlers, as she believes in the importance of nurturing their growth from the very beginning. Creating a safe, caring, and supportive space for children is at the heart of everything Ms. Edeara does. She believes that every child deserves to feel secure and valued as they learn and explore the world. One of her favorite children's books is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Eric Carle, a story that speaks to the wonder of discovery and the joy of learning.

    Simone’s journey in childcare is just beginning, but her passion for working with children has been a constant in her life. After graduating from Madison Park High School, she took her first steps into early education at The Goddard School, eager to make a meaningful impact on young minds. She loves teaching through laughter, creating a warm and engaging environment where children can learn in a way that feels fun and natural. Simone believes that when learning connects with a child’s interests—whether through games, hobbies, or stories—it becomes more exciting and personal. With a passion for storytelling and dramatic play, Simone enjoys bringing books to life, making each story an immersive experience for children. One of her favorite books is The Giving Tree by Shel Silverstein, a story that reflects her own approach to teaching—with patience, kindness, and a heart full of care.

    Ms Emily

    Ms. Emily is a teacher in Preschool classroom. She earned her bachelor's degree from Lesley University in 2022 and recently completed her master’s in December 2024. Her journey in education started as an art counselor at an afterschool camp, where she discovered her passion for working with children. She later gained experience in behavioral work before finding her place as a preschool teacher. Emily loves the fresh perspectives young children bring and believes in fostering a joyful, positive relationship with learning and school. One of her favorite books to share with students is Little Shop of Monsters. It’s funny, a little quirky, and always sparks great classroom discussions! She is excited to explore new books, dive into students’ interests, and create a year full of learning and fun.

    Ms. Victoria has a deep passion for early childhood education and finds great fulfillment in guiding young learners as they explore and grow. She treasures the joy of seeing a child’s face light up with excitement when they discover something new and believes in fostering a nurturing and encouraging learning environment. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Victoria finds peace in caring for her extensive plant collection, which has grown to over 150 plants. As a proud mother, she cherishes the time spent with her son and values the strong sense of community she has experienced in her lifelong home of Boston. One of her favorite books to share with children is Giraffes Can’t Dance, a heartwarming story that teaches perseverance and self-confidence. She also enjoys incorporating music into learning, believing that songs help children express themselves and embrace the joy of discovery.

    Toddlers Teacher
    Analiz, from Chelsea, MA, was inspired to enter childcare through her close relationship with her nieces and nephews. She was 7 years old when her nephew was born in 2009, followed by her niece in 2013. She’s always adored spending time with them, and they’ve come to see her as a trusted "big sister." She loves the moment a child’s face lights up when they figure something out, and nothing makes her smile more than a heartfelt hug from a child. Her favorite book is Pete the Cat, as she loves its fun, positive messages. Analiz brings care, connection, and a big-sister spirit to every child she works with.

    Gio’s journey into childcare stems from her passion for teaching and her deep love for children. She finds joy in building strong, lasting connections with both the children and their families, fostering a sense of trust and care. Gio loves the opportunity to teach, nurture, and support young minds as they explore, grow, and learn. She believes that every child deserves a supportive environment where they feel valued, and she takes pride in being a part of that. Her favorite book is Love You Forever by Robert Munsch, a heartfelt story that resonates with her approach to nurturing unconditional love and care in her classroom.

    Juan’s journey into education is driven by his deep love for guiding and teaching children of all ages. He believes that blending play with learning creates a powerful environment for growth and development, and he feels incredibly fortunate to be part of that journey. There’s nothing more rewarding to Juan than witnessing the milestones children reach and the impact that learning has on their lives. As a facilitator, he finds joy in helping children uncover their potential and supporting them every step of the way. His favorite book is The Pout-Pout Fish, a delightful story about friendship and emotions that resonates with his caring and playful spirit.

    Kai has been working in childcare since 2020 and finds joy in watching children grow and learn—it never stops amazing her. She is passionate about supporting the next generation and creating a space where young minds feel encouraged and cared for. Her favorite book is The Very Hungry Caterpillar, a story she loves for its gentle message of transformation and growth. Kai brings patience, energy, and a heartfelt commitment to every child she works with.

    Infant Teacher
    Lucia’s journey in childcare began through a combination of personal experience and a deep love for working with children. After several years of nannying, raising her own children, and volunteering as a Sunday school teacher, she realized her passion for caring for babies and young children. Lucia loves being part of their early development, enjoying how quickly they learn and grow, and knowing she can make a positive impact in their lives. Her favorite book is Jonah and the Great Fish, a story about resilience and overcoming challenges. Lucia is committed to creating a warm, supportive environment where children can explore, learn, and thrive.
