Our Goddard School Teachers

Johann Hunter is the co-owner of The Goddard School located in Charlestown. Johann and her husband Mark have a daughter and two young sons. They recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Johann is excited to be able to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Subsequent to earning her Bachelor's degree in Economics and MBA in Business Management Johann found herself entrenched in the educational development of her oldest son. As a result, Johann developed a passion for early childhood education and, understands the importance of these critical foundational years. She looks forward to sharing her passion with the families of Charlestown.

Mark Anthony Hunter is the on-site co-owner of The Goddard School of Middleton. Mark and his wife, Johann, have a daughter and two young sons. They recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. Mark and Johann are excited to be able to provide Goddard's outstanding program to the children in the community. Their goal is to be a resource for families as well as a school community where parents can share information and learn from each other. Ms. Allison is the On-Site Operator at The Goddard School of Charlestown and brings nineteen years of experience in early childhood administration. She holds a Massachusetts Director II certification and has been part of the Goddard community since 2017, previously serving as Director at the Middleton location before joining Charlestown in 2024. Allison earned her bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Criminal Justice from UMass Amherst, her master’s degree in Education from Cambridge College and, as a lifelong learner, is currently exploring doctoral programs in education. She loves supporting children and teachers as they discover their strengths and enjoys witnessing each “lightbulb moment.” As a mother of two, she understands the importance of high-quality early education and is grateful to work within the welcoming, historic Charlestown community.

Nicole is the Director at The Goddard School of Charlestown, where she supports all classrooms and age groups through collaborative leadership and a child-first approach. She has worked in early childhood education since 2006 and holds degrees in Early Childhood Development and Children and Families, along with a Director II certification from EEC. Nicole previously served as a teacher and Assistant Director in multiple programs, gaining extensive experience in curriculum, family partnerships, and staff development. She believes emotional safety, predictable routines, and strong communication are essential for children to thrive. Nicole enjoys sharing stories with children and building meaningful connections with families. Her leadership style is supportive, relationship-driven, and rooted in teamwork. She values Goddard’s nurturing environment and loves watching children grow more confident each day.

Marcy is the Assistant Director at The Goddard School of Charlestown, where she supports daily operations, collaborates closely with the Director, and ensures high-quality experiences for children, families, and staff. She holds an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, completed coursework at Lesley University, earned her CDA credential, and is Director I and II certified. With over fourteen years of experience, Marcy brings deep expertise in curriculum, classroom coaching, and relationship-centered teaching. She loves forming meaningful bonds with children and celebrates their humor, honesty, and growth. Her teaching and leadership style focuses on empathy, consistency, and creating environments where children feel safe and confident. Marcy values strong partnerships with families and believes communication is essential to children’s success. She enjoys sharing You Are a Unicorn with students and loves musical theater, comedy shows, concerts, and museums.

Victoria creates a safe, nurturing environment in the Infant A classroom. She brings hands-on experience from babysitting and has completed Child Growth and Development coursework. She enjoys singing, reading, and watching infants gain confidence.

Emily is the Pre-K Teacher at The Goddard School of Charlestown and brings a strong academic background with an undergraduate degree and master’s degree in psychology, along with a minor in early childhood. She has worked professionally with children in classroom settings since 2022 and previously taught art and sewing after school and worked as a nanny throughout college. Emily loves watching children grow into confident, capable learners and enjoys preparing Pre-K students for their next stage in “big kid school.” Her teaching approach focuses on building independence, supporting emotional development, and creating a calm environment that helps children learn best. She loves reading with her class and hopes to inspire a lifelong love of books. Emily values open communication with families and believes teamwork is essential. A fun fact about her is that she is a huge dog lover—she recently adopted Rex, an energetic 11-year-old pit bull who loves hikes and car rides.

Ms. Gloria is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. She has many years of experience working with children and loves seeing their growth and development. Gloria is passionate about helping people of all ages reach their goals and believes in supporting others with kindness, patience, and care. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and enjoys learning, growing, and finding new ways to make a positive difference in people’s lives.

Imari has worked in early childhood education since 2015 and is EEC and CPR/First Aid certified. She creates a space where children can express themselves while learning. Her favorite part of the day is morning meeting, when children show how much they are growing.

My name is Kiani, Preferred as Kiki. I was born & raised in Boston MA. My family is originally from Honduras La Ceiba, Cortes. I grew up in a huge family surrounded by children, and siblings. This influenced my love of structured play, watching my siblings grow and the desire to support my family in any way as possible. I have been in the early childhood education field for 15 years. I began volunteering seasonal programs, after school, nanny, counselor, and summer positions, since then I have continued to care for children professionally. My experience has become successful. My favorite color is purple, and children’s book ; Chica Chica Boom Boom. My favorite part about being a teaching teacher is, putting a smile on the children’s faces every day.

Kim supports babies with warmth and enthusiasm in the Infant A classroom. She brings hands-on childcare experience and Goddard training. She loves sharing music, creating cheerful environments, and learning new languages and instruments.

Kiara holds a professional certification in Infant and Toddler Education and has nearly five years of experience in early childhood. She enjoys creating hands-on learning experiences through STEM, movement, and sensory play. She is a proud mom of two boys and loves helping toddlers grow in confidence and independence.

Josh brings creativity and a love of music to the Preschool classroom. He studied education and spent four years creating curriculum for children ages 2.9 to six. He enjoys modular synthesis, building electronic instruments, and incorporating music into daily learning.

Dulce supports classrooms across multiple age groups with patience, warmth, and consistency. She is studying Early Childhood Development at Bunker Hill Community College and has completed EQIT training. She enjoys helping children learn through play, routines, and hands-on exploration. She values strong communication with families and loves baking cookies, cakes, and sweet treats.

Fwitslene loves helping young children feel safe, comfortable, and excited to learn. She has been working with children since she was 15 and brings experience supporting a wide range of age groups, from elementary students to high schoolers. She enjoys creating hands-on, age-appropriate activities that encourage exploration, creativity, and confidence. Her teaching style is patient, caring, and interactive, and she strives to make her classroom a warm, welcoming space where children can grow at their own pace. She values strong communication with families and believes teamwork between teachers and caregivers helps children thrive. A fun fact about her is that she loves working with different age groups and enjoys seeing how each child expresses themselves through crafts, creativity, and play.

Rubiana is an Infant and Toddler Teacher who provides a nurturing, safe, and developmentally supportive environment for young children. She holds an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Certificate and brings two years of professional classroom experience working with infants and toddlers. Before joining Goddard, she spent nine years as a professional nanny supporting multiple families and also worked at Mrs. Marley’s Preschool, where she earned her Early Childhood Education Certification. She loves that The Goddard School encourages play-based learning, allowing children to explore their natural curiosity. Watching children grow, learn, and thrive brings her joy, and she takes pride in supporting their earliest milestones. Her teaching approach is nurturing, responsive, calm, and fully present. She enjoys sensory bins, music, and movement activities that help children engage and participate.

Nevaeh supports all age groups with flexibility and warmth. She has over ten years of experience in childcare, camps, and after-school programs. She enjoys creative projects, staying active, and building strong relationships with children and families.

Liz supports the Get Set and Preschool classrooms with structure, creativity, and enthusiasm. She has ten years of experience, including work in Reggio-Emilia inspired programs. She loves expressive storytelling and has published her own children’s book on Amazon.

Yani supports infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with a warm, steady, and encouraging presence. She has completed EEC StrongStart training and values open communication with families. Yani enjoys music and movement activities and incorporates them into daily routines to help children express themselves and build confidence. Her teaching style is calm, supportive, and rooted in helping children feel safe and understood. She believes strong relationships and predictable routines help children thrive. Yani is fluent in English and Spanish and enjoys sharing language experiences with her class. Outside of school, she enjoys doing acrylic nails and spending time with her dog, Mila. A fun fact is that she loves creating custom nail designs inspired by children’s artwork.

Feifei is a Toddler Teacher who supports her classroom with warmth, patience, and consistency. She is studying toward her EEC certification and previously earned a bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. Feifei enjoys play-based learning, storytelling, art, and music, incorporating these elements into daily routines to help toddlers explore and grow. Her teaching style is calm, structured, and responsive, with a focus on helping children build independence and confidence. She values open communication with families and believes strong partnerships support children’s success. Feifei is bilingual in Mandarin and English and enjoys sharing language experiences with her class. Outside of school, she loves hiking, reading, and hosting family and friends. A fun fact is that she enjoys collecting unique teacups and uses them to serve traditional tea during family gatherings.
