  • Ms Laurie

    Ms Laurie

    On-Site Owner
    Ms. Laurie is our On-Site Owner. She holds a BS in Criminal Justice Administration and an Assoc. Degree in Early Childhood. She has over 20 years experience working with children which includes advocating for children in foster care through CASA in the Cobb County Juvenile court system. Ms. Laurie is originally from Deshler, OH and currently resides in Kennesaw, GA. Her favorite children's book is "A Wrinkle in Time." Her favorite children's song is "Itsy Bitsy Spider." Ms. Laurie loves working with children because she loves to make a positive difference in their lives. She finds being able to witness a child's educational and emotional growth very rewarding.

    Director
    Ms. Traci joined our Goddard family as our Director in December 2024. Traci grew up in Marietta Georgia and caring for children has been part of her life for a long time. Ms. Traci has been teaching for more than 30 years. Ms. Traci has experience with developmental teaching for infants through college. Ms. Traci spent the majority of her years teaching elementary education in the Atlanta area. Ms. Traci has also taught college level overseas in China. Mr. Traci's time in China was spent creating, implementing, and writing curriculum for her classes and her Master's degree. Ms. Traci graduated in 2007 with her MA in Education, in addition to earning her license in Leadership. Outside of school, I love being in nature. Hiking, being in the mountains, gardening, and sitting in a hammock are my favorite things to do in my freetime. I have two girls: 9 yrs and 6 yrs, that I am teaching how to go on adventures and climb mountains. Our pups love to go walking with us.

    Hi, I’m Ms. Milce! I joined The Goddard School of Woodstock in March 2023, and I have seven years of experience in childcare. I grew up in Roswell, GA, and now live in Woodstock. I’m fluent in both English and Spanish. One of my favorite things about working here is listening to young toddler’s early vocabulary because it shows how much they are absorbing from the world around them! In my spare time, I love to organize, read, and go on walks with my husband and daughter. A fun fact about me: I enjoy making pebble art with my daughter!

    Hola, My name is Ms. Dulce a little bit about me, I was born in Mexico but was raised in Southern California. I am a mother of two wonderful little girls. I am a very creative person. I love art, music, and a fun fact about me is that I love doing nail art. I enjoy my job and interacting with all of the children. My favorite age group is toddlers. I love seeing the creative play in which they learn. I am very proud of being bilingual and being able to teach spanish to the children. One of my favorite children song is "De Colores by Joan Baez".

    I am originally from India and have been in the United States for almost 40 years. As a mother of five adult children and a proud GT mom, family has always been at the heart of my journey. Now, as a grandmother to five wonderful grandkids, I have developed a deep love for working with babies, cherishing each and every one of them in a unique way. I have been with Goddard for three years, and it has been a rewarding experience to support and nurture young children as they grow. Beyond work, I enjoy spending my time hiking, reading, and gardening, which allow me to stay active, continue learning, and connect with nature. A fun fact about myself:  I have a green thumb - I can grow anything from ginger to cantaloupe!

    Ms. Giti has more than 16 years experience in childcare. She is originally from Tehran, Iran and currently resides in Kennesaw, GA. Her favorite children's book is "One Fish, Two Fish" and her favorite children's song is "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star." Ms. Giti loves working with children because they make her day better and she loves knowing that the children are having fun in her care.

    My name is Cheyanne. I am a wife and a mother of two boys. I grew up in Iowa, where I spent a lot of time with my family. I learned to really enjoy playing horseshoes with my grandpa while growing up, and it's something that will always stay with me. My passion for childcare comes from having a large family and spending time with my cousins. I was a nanny for several years so I could continue my joy in childcare while also being a mother full-time. We moved to Woodstock after my husband's military career, and we are hoping to make it our forever home. Outside of childcare, I enjoy writing music, singing , and watching my boys play baseball.

    I am from North Carolina. I have been happily married for 14 years and am the proud mother of three beautiful children. From an early age I developed a passion for early childhood. My tenure in this field has given me a deep understanding of child development whether in the classroom or at home. I remain committed to nurturing young minds and creating spaces where children can learn, grow and thrive.

    I’m Ms. Abbey! Almost two years ago I began my journey in childcare. In addition to teaching, music is a huge thing in my life, whether listening or playing.    If I’m counting correctly I’ve been to 38 concerts so far, and have 3 upcoming. I also work in a high school marching band setting during the fall! May 2025 is when I will begin attending Chattahoochee Technical College in their Early Childhood Care and Education Associate’s Program. My next goal is attending a university for my Bachelor of Music Education, so I can teach high school instrumental ensembles!

    I'm Ms. Malarie, I'm from Woodstock GA. I joined The Goddard School of Woodstock in 2022. I enjoyed spending teaching young children how to communicate with the use of Sign Language. I obtained my CDA certification in October of 2024. Currently, I'm in school working towards my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education.

    Ms. Laurie holds a BS degree from KSU with a specialty certification in Elementary Education: Pre-K through 5th grade. Ms. Laurie is from Woodstock, GA. Her favorite children's book is "No More Monkeys Jumping on the Bed" and all Eric Carle books. Her favorite children's song is "The Number Rock." Ms. Laurie loves working with children and especially loves their honesty. Her goal is to develop great minds and nurture beautiful hearts.

    Ms. Jane has been with The Goddard School since 2007 and has over 20 years experience working with children. She has an Associate’s Degree in Child Development. She is from Camden, SC and now resides in Woodstock, GA. Her favorite children's book is "The Kissing Hand" and her favorite children's song is "The Chicken Dance." Ms. Jane loves to work with children because she loves the "free hugs."

    I'm Ms. Afshina, and I have five years of experience as a Pre-K teacher. My love for children and passion for teaching makes me absolutely enjoy my job. I focus on several hands-on activities, and I believe children learn best through fun, interactive methods. Being both a mom and a teacher is something I cherish deeply-it's such a rewarding experience. When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time with my daughter and finding joy in everyday moments. As a fun fact about myself: I always try to make every lesson feel like an adventure, and I'm known for turning an ordinary day into something exciting for my students!

    Ms. Beth has been working with children since she was old enough to babysit, and loves every minute of it. With a Bachelor's degree under her belt she spent seven years working with foster children in the system before landing here at Goddard completing the circle and coming back to where she started so many years ago. Her favorite thing about teaching young minds is watching them absorb the materials and then applying the concepts to other areas. When not teaching she is an avid reader and lover of all things outdoors, and can often be found curled up with her dog and kindle on the swing in her front yard, or in her vintage camper tinkering around with many projects she has going on at any given time.

    Gioni Harris is an enthusiastic educator with a passion for helping young learners grow academically and socially. She is dedicated to creating engaging and inclusive learning experiences and hopes to bring curiosity and excitement into the classroom. Her teaching style blends structure with creativity, fostering both independence and collaboration in students. Gioni is excited to be a part of The Goddard School community and looks forward to making a positive impact on every child’s educational journey. Outside of work, Gioni enjoys reflecting her belief in a simple yet purposeful lifestyle. Fun Fact: Gioni loves astrology.
