    Mrs Akshi

    Owner
    Mrs. Akshi is the proud owner of The Goddard School located in Chamblee-Brookhaven. She holds a degree in Civil Engineering. She is a proud mother of two happy boys. As a parent, she understands the need for a quality educational environment for young children. Mrs. Akshi is dedicated to providing the best possible environment for the education and development of children in our community. She welcomes you to The Goddard School experience.
  • Ms Paige

    Ms Paige

    Director of Education
    Ms. Paige is our Director of Education, but she wears many hats. She has been with Goddard - Chamblee since 2019, and she holds a Bachelors degree in Sociology/Criminal Justice, and an Associate degree in ECE. She was born and raised in metro Atlanta. Ms. Paige has been an Early Childhood Educator since 2006, and in 2016 she was awarded "GSL Teacher of the Year” for her GONZO Save the Frogs Project. She is very passionate about creating a curriculum that caters to children's needs and interests and allows children to find a love of learning. She strongly believes children should connect with nature. She created our school garden, and had it certified by The National Wildlife Federation in 2019. Ms. Paige thoroughly enjoys working with children and watching them grow into unique individuals. She is excited to share her knowledge and lead our teachers as the Director of Education.
  • Mrs Ruby

    Mrs Ruby

    Assistant Director
    Mrs. Ruby has joined our management team and is now our Assistant Director and Spanish enrichment coordinator. She started out as a Lead teacher in the one-year-old room and has been working with us since 2018. She is currently working on completing her associate degree in early childhood education. Mrs. Ruby is a Georgia native, but her parents are originally from Mexico. While growing up she had the pleasure of babysitting for different families and has experience working with infants through toddlers. Prior to joining The Goddard school of Chamblee, she has worked at another Goddard school in Atlanta. During her free time, she loves to cook, travel, do photography and spend quality time with her family, friends and husband. She is thrilled to be a part of the leadership team and teach Spanish to the children.

    Ms Jill

    Assistant Director
    Ms. Jill was born in California and has been a Georgia native since she was four years old. She has almost twenty years of experience as an early childhood educator and currently has her Associates degree in ECE. In her leisure time Ms. Jill enjoys relaxing with friends and family, football and dancing. Ms. Jill is thrilled to bring her teaching expertise to our leadership team as an Assistant Director.

    Infant 1 Lead Teacher
    Mrs. Vera has been a part of our Goddard family since August of 2022 and is an Atlanta native. She has a dog named Nico who she spends time with on her down time. One of her favorite things about teaching children, is that she can watch them learn every day and gets to show babies that they can be loved unconditionally. Ms. Vera is an Infant teacher and is thrilled to meet you and your family. As a child, Mrs. Vera loved the book The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Suess. Her favorite color is purple, and she also enjoys traveling around to different places. We are excited to have Mrs. Vera a part of our Goddard team.

    Ms Sandra

    Infant 1 Assistant Teacher
    Mrs. Sandra is originally from Mexico but grew up in Georgia. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching the children grow into their own little personalities. It brings her happiness to watch babies smile and laugh. Mrs. Sandra has two children. She is happily married and enjoys spending time with her family. As a child, her favorite children’s books were “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!” by Dr. Suess and “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. She is happy to be a part of the children’s lives and to help shape their future. We are excited to have Mrs. Sandra join the Goddard team.

    Infant 1 Assistant teacher
    Ms. Gabby is from Atlanta, Ga. She has been a part of the Goddard School since 2021. She is currently a student at Georgia State working on her degree. Her favorite thing about teaching is being around children and watching them accomplish different milestones. Ms. Gabby's favorite childhood book is. "All by Myself", by Mercer Mayer. She still enjoys reading that book today. Ms. Gabby is excited to meet you and welcome you to our school.

    Infant 1 Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Jazmin is from Atlanta, Ga. She enjoys living here. She is currently attending Georgia State University studying Business. She has a pet bunny named Bon Bon who she loves dearly. Her favorite thing about teaching is helping the children discover and develop their own strengths. As a child, her favorite book was “A Bad Case of the Stripes”, by David Shannon. She still enjoys that book today. We are happy to have Ms. Jazmin on the Goddard team!

    Infant 2 Lead Teacher
    Ms. Sirica is our Lead Infant 2 teacher, and she has been a part of the Goddard family since 2018. Ms. Sirica has been working with children, specifically Infants for more than twenty years. She holds a Child Development Associate and a tremendous amount of training in the childcare field. She loves working with Infants and likes watching them grow into their own little personalities. We love having Ms. Sirica a part of our Goddard School Family.

    Infant 2 Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Ashley is from Atlanta, Ga. She has been working with children for over three years now. She has two pets. A five-year-old chihuahua named Chiquis and a two-year-old cat named Luna. Her favorite thing about teaching is meeting the different personalities and helping children understand their emotions. She likes to help children adjust to the big world we live in. As a child, her favorite children’s book was “A Bad Case of the Stripes” by David Shannon. She still enjoys that book today. In her spare time, she does meditation and grounds herself with nature. In her free time, she likes to read poem books and go on walks. She is currently pursuing her dream of being a child psychologist. We are happy to have Ms. Ashley on the Goddard team.

    Toddler 1 Lead Teacher
    Ms. Mayra is from Douglasville, Ga. She has been working with children for a little over a year now. She has one beautiful daughter who she loves dearly. Her favorite thing about teaching is experiencing proud moments the children have when they complete a task that they have learned. As a child, her favorite book was “I Need a New Bum!” by Dawn McMillian and Ross Kinnaird. In her spare time, Ms. Mayra likes to read and loves drinking coffee and eating different foods. It makes her happy. We welcome Ms. Mayra to the Goddard team!

    Toddlers 1 Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Daisy is from California. She has been working with children for 2 and a half years now and loves it. She has three beautiful dogs. Their names are Luka, Oso, and Canela. Her favorite thing about teaching in early childhood is having fun with the children and watching them learn. Ms. Daisy’s favorite children’s books are anything written by Junie B. Jones. She enjoys meeting new people and is happy to be apart of the Goddard family.

    Toddler 2 Lead Teacher
    Ms. Andrenika is from Georgia and is excited to be a Goddard teacher. Her favorite thing about working with children is watching them grow and learn new things. “Every Little Thing”, by Bob Marley, is her favorite children’s book. It is based on his song “Three Little Birds”. She loves doing art projects, styling hair, and being with her family in her spare time. We are excited to have Ms. Andrenika join the Goddard team.

    Toddler 2 Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Paola - First Steps teacher Ms. Paola is from Atlanta, Ga and has been a Goddard teacher since 2021. She has a passion for working with children and has been in the field for over a year now. Her favorite thing about teaching is that every day brings a new experience. There are lots of new developmental skills, funny moments and unexpected challenges she loves to face. She believes learning new things daily is rewarding and it teaches others to embrace the unexpected things of life. As a child, Ms. Paola’s favorite book was The Rainbow Fish by Marcus Pfister. On her free time, she likes to meditate and listen to music. She loves capturing moments through a lens and wants to do more traveling around the world.

    Ms. Kierra is from Orlando, Florida, but enjoys living in Georgia. She has been working with children for four years now. Her favorite thing about teaching is watching the children use things they have been taught and watching them grow. “Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What Do You See?” by Bill Martin and Eric Carle. In her spare time, she enjoys knitting, watching movies, ballet, reading, cooking/baking. She is working on going to school to be a surgical technician one day. We enjoy having Ms. Kierra on the Goddard team.

    Mrs Jamshiya

    Toddlers 3 Lead Teacher
    Mrs.Jamshiya was born and raised in India, where she graduated from Calicut University with a BA in History and Political Science. She also holds a certificate in Creche and Preschool management. Mrs. Jamshiya has been working in early childhood education for a little over a year. Mrs. Jamshiya’s enjoys being a part of the children’s learning and development as their teacher. When she is not working, she is busy being a mother to three children. We are so excited to have Mrs. Jamshiya a part of our Goddard School of family.

    Toddlers 3 Lead Teacher
    Ms. Pearline is from Atlanta, Georgia. She joined the Goddard School of Chamblee in May 2021. She likes to see children learn and grow in her care and is thrilled to be a part of The Goddard School. Her favorite children’s book is The Red Balloon by Albert Lamorisse.

    Twos 1 Lead Teacher
    Ms. Wendy is a Vietnamese American and has been living in Atlanta Georgia her entire life. She has an associate in early childhood education. She loves playing tennis in her free time and goes to the dog park with her two best four legged friends Cody and Twixie. Ms. Wendy recently had her first baby, and we are excited to have her back in the classroom. Her biggest supporter for everything she does is her mom. She was a nanny for 5 years before coming to Goddard, and that has taught her so much when it comes to patience and putting love into whatever she does. She is excited to learn and gain great experience from your wonderful children and from her co-workers.

    Twos 1 Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Melissa lives in Chamblee, Ga but is originally from Mexio. She attended and graduated from Chamblee High School. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing how excited the children are about learning each day. As a child, her favorite children’s book was “A Bad Case of Stripes” by David Shannon. She is currently studying at school to become an EMT at Grady Hospital. We are glad to have Melissa at the Goddard School.

    Ms. Kelsa is from Decatur, Ga. She has six years of experience working with children. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing all her children smiling even if it is at drop off or pick up. She loves to see them master a milestone. As a child, her favorite children’s books were “Green Eggs and Ham” and “How the Grinch Stole Christmas” by Dr. Suess. Ms. Kelsa enjoys swimming, shopping, museums, dancing, singing, roller skating, traveling, reading/journaling, and enjoys music. She has a beautiful son as well. We welcome Ms. Kelsa to the Goddard team.

    Twos 2 Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Fatima is from Atlanta, Ga. She has two dogs who she loves dearly. Her favorite thing about teaching is witnessing the growth in children and their ability to learn new things. Ms. Fatima’s favorite book is “Llama, Llama Red Pajama” by Anna Dewdney. She feels it shows how sometimes you need someone for comfort. She is currently pursuing becoming a business owner. She is studying the arts and techniques of custom clothing designing and styling as well. She aspires to achieve her goal because she strives to have her creative freedom.

    Bridge Lead Teacher
    Ms. Jessica is from Houston, Texas. She has been working with children for 19 years, and really enjoys it. She attended and graduated from Georgia Piedmont with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She also has her TCC and Child Development Specialist degrees. Her favorite thing about teaching is being creative, making a difference, and helping children discover their strengths. Pete the Cat is her favorite children’s book. She enjoys reading it to the class. We are happy to have Ms. Jessica on the Goddard team.

    Bridge Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Jacqueline joined our Goddard family in 2022, and she has been working with children for over a year now She really enjoys it. She graduated from North Atlanta High School and will be attending school soon to gain her nursing degree. Ms. Jacqueline is a fur mom to three dogs, and when she’s not working, she is spending time with them. Her favorite thing about teaching is getting to meet all the different types of personalities the children have and watching them grow into unique individuals. Her favorite children’s books are any written by Dr. Seuss.

    Bridge Lead Teacher
    Currently working on her CDA Ms. Abby is our Get Set Assistant teacher, and the kids absolutely adore her. Ms. Abby has prior experience working with children and loves working with little ones. Her favorite thing about teaching is making connections with her children and watching them grow. When Ms. Abby is not working, she enjoys spending time with her family, painting, and playing video games. Her favorite book to read to the kids is ‘No David’ by David Shannon.

    Pre School 1 Lead Teacher
    Ms. Wilna is from Haiti but now lives in Georgia. She has been working with children for ten years. She graduated from Stone Mountain High with a diploma and a CDA certification. She has three wonderful children who she loves dearly. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing the enjoyment in a child’s face while they are learning new things. She thinks learning is fun. She feels it makes a difference in a child’s life. Her favorite children’s book is “Just Like Me” by Vanessa Brantley-Newton. Ms. Wilna loves to read and listen to music. Her favorite sport is basketball. In her spare time, she likes going to the park and exercising.

    Pre School 1 Assistant Teacher
    Mr. Antwon Hicks is from Macon, Georgia. This is his very first year in the Early Childhood Education field. He graduated from Chamblee High School and is very interested in learning and gaining more knowledge and experience in the field. Mr. Antwon has his certification in Fundamental Technology. He has a son by the name of Ayden, and he enjoys being a father. Mr. Antwon’s favorite thing about teaching is being able to help set a foundation for the kids. He enjoys reading any book by Dr. Seuss. Mr. Antwon has stated that one of his main reasons for wanting to work with kids is because kids are the future.

    Mr. Daniel is our one of our Preschool 2 co-Lead teachers, and he has a bachelor’s degree in health Behavior Science from University of Delaware. He moved to Atlanta in 2021 and has been with us ever since. Mr. Daniel wears many hats, and all the kids absolutely adore him. His favorite thing about teaching is being able to help shape the young minds of those who will be the future of the world. His enjoys reading Dr. Seuss books, and we are so happy to have him apart of our Goddard School family.

    Pre School 2 Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Maleyah is from Atlanta, Ga. She has one son who she loves dearly. Her favorite thing about teaching is seeing every child’s growth throughout their journey. Her favorite children’s book is “Dairy of a Wimpy Kid”, by Jeff Kinney. Ms. Maleyah is very easy-going and tries to make every moment in a child’s life memorable for them. We love having Ms. Maleyah on the Goddard team!

    Pre-K Lead Teacher
    Ms. Lanessia Harmon is from West Palm Beach, Florida. She has work experience with children ages 6 and up within the Palm Beach County School System. Ms. Lanessia graduated from Florida Atlantic University with her Bachelor's in English. She also completed her Master's degree in public Administration. She also has her teaching certificate in the state of Florida. Ms. Lanessia has 1 set of twin boy who are five years old. Her favorite thing about teaching is she loves teaching the students how to read and blend sounds. "Seeing students learn how to read warms my heart." Ms. Lanessia's favorite book is "The Very Hungry Caterpillar." She loves that the book teaches so many lessons, like metaphors and healthy eating habits. Ms. Lanessia is very excited to be a new teacher for Pre-K.

She has two cats named Stella and Dilly who she loves dearly. Ms. Grace’s favorite thing about teaching is watching the children learn and grow and hearing the funny things they say. Her favorite book as a child was “Ferdinand and the Bull” by Munro Leaf. In her free time, she loves traveling, concerts, dancing, and being with friends. We are happy to have Ms. Grace.

    Mr. Michael is from Tucker Ga. He graduated from Western Carolina College with a degree in Early Childhood Education and has been working with children for six years now. His favorite thing about teaching is when the children are faced with difficulties and need help. He likes to help solve the problem and help them grow. As a child, his favorite book was “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown. We are very grateful to have Mr. Michael on our team.

    Ms. Avigail recently joined The Goddard School of Chamblee, and we are so happy to have her a part of our team. She wears many hats and she can be seen helping out in most classrooms. Ms. Avi is a Georgia native, and she recently graduated Georgia State University with a degree in Psychology. She loves engaging with the children, and loves watching them grow up into unique individuals. When she is not working, Ms. Avigail enjoys playing basketball, cars, and loves shoe shopping. Her favorites children book is Diary of a Wimpy Kid. We are so excited to have Ms. Avigail a part of our Goddard School family.

    Ms. Malyah is from Denver, Colorado but enjoys living in Georgia. She has been working with children for over a year now and loves it. She has three cats, Lola, Willow, and Seoul, who she loves dearly. Her favorite thing about teaching is getting to meet so many different personalities the children have. As a child, her favorite children’s book series are the “Judy Moody” books by Megan McDonald. In her spare time, she enjoys reading and spending time in nature. She also loves listening to music and trying new things.

    Ms. Jasmine is from Atlanta, Ga and enjoys working with children. Her favorite thing about teaching is the innovation, creativity, enlighten and euphoria that comes with education. She believes education is for everyone to understand the world around them and subject themselves to their highest potential. Ms. Jasmine's favorite child's book to read are any of the " Black Lagoon" series by Mike Thaler, or the book "No, David!" by David Shannon. Her favorite thing about teaching is playing with the kids. Her favorite children’s book is Cat in The Hat by Dr. Seuss. A few fun facts about her is she likes to color, sing, dance, and watch DVD’s.

    Ms. Sarah is from Atlanta, Ga. She has been working in early childhood education for 5 years. She has a bachelor’s degree in mass communications from Georgia College and State University, and 2 master’s degrees from Liberty University in Global Studies and Pastoral Counseling. Ms. Sarah’s favorite thing about teaching is the interactions the children have with one another. Her favorite children’s book is “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown. She enjoys reading, writing, taking nature walks, drawing, painting, and collecting coffee mugs. We are happy to have Ms. Sarah join the Goddard School.

    Ms. Arianna is from Georgia. She is currently attending Georgia Gwinnett College studying to be an OT. She has a daughter, who she loves dearly, one dog named Bella, and a fish named Mister. Her favorite thing about teaching is working and teaching the children. She loves helping with their growth and watching them laugh. Her favorite children’s books are “Girls like Me” by Valerie Thompkins and “I Color Myself Different” by Colin Kaepernick. Ms. Arianna loves reading books, volleyball and the season of Winter. We are happy to have her on the Goddard team!
