Our Goddard School Teachers

Kirsten Samel, the esteemed owner of The Goddard School in the Meridian International Business Complex, boasts a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Studies. Her Goddard journey started in 2008 as a Director, leading to roles with major childcare providers, recently managing 20 sites in Denver. Kirsten champions The Goddard School's philosophy, emphasizing health, safety, and educational excellence. Supporting her is Matthew Samel, a Metro State University alum with a Business Management degree and a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. Together, they are honored to serve The Goddard School's families and students, committed to providing unparalleled early childhood education.

Lisa Fultz serves as the Executive Director of The Goddard School – Meridian and brings more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education and leadership. She holds a Master’s Degree in Education with a focus in Early Childhood, a Master’s of Science in Management, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Music. Since 2000, Lisa has worked in early childhood programs throughout the Denver Metro area as both a teacher and director. She has also taught Music to middle and high school students through Aurora Public Schools. Lisa is passionate about creating high-quality educational environments where children feel supported, valued, and excited to learn. She believes early childhood education is her calling and is dedicated to supporting children, families, and educators throughout the Goddard community

Ms. Liz serves as the Education Director at The Goddard School – Meridian. She holds an Associate of Science in Early Childhood Education and an Early Childhood Teacher Certificate and is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. Her commitment to continued education reflects her belief that effective educators are lifelong learners. As Education Director, Ms. Liz works closely with teachers to develop meaningful, developmentally appropriate learning experiences that recognize each child’s individual needs, interests, and learning style. She supports educators in creating personalized lesson plans rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach. Ms. Liz is passionate about helping teachers grow professionally while ensuring every child has the opportunity to learn in a nurturing, engaging environment.

Ms. Laurie has been a valued member of The Goddard School – Meridian since January 2009, bringing more than 17 years of experience to early childhood education. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching licensure in Education and has continued her professional education through graduate coursework and extensive training in infant and toddler care. Ms. Laurie primarily supports the Infant classroom while also assisting throughout the school as needed. Her extensive experience and knowledge of child development allow her to provide valuable support across all age groups. Her positive energy, dedication to professional growth, and wealth of early childhood knowledge make her a valuable resource to children, families, and educators throughout the school.

Ms. Kerri has been part of The Goddard School – Meridian since March 2008 and serves as the Lead Teacher in the Bouncing Bunnies classroom. She brings more than 18 years of experience in early childhood education and holds a Child Development Associate credential and an Infant Nursery Supervisor Certification. She has continued her professional development through Goddard University coursework and specialized training. Ms. Kerri is committed to creating a nurturing classroom where children can build confidence, develop independence, and establish strong foundations for future learning. Her extensive experience, specialized education, and dedication to continued professional growth make her an important member of the Goddard School educational team.

Ms. Andrea has been a valued member of The Goddard School – Meridian since 2020 and serves as a Co-Lead Teacher in the Cuddly Cubs classroom. She brings specialized experience in infant and toddler care and is dedicated to creating a warm, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate learning environment. Ms. Andrea places a strong emphasis on building trusting relationships with children and families, particularly as children transition into a new classroom setting. Known for her patience, kindness, and nurturing approach, she supports each child’s individual development while helping them build confidence, independence, and a positive foundation for their educational journey.

Ms. Grace is a Lead Teacher in the Magnificent Moose classroom and brings more than 10 years of teaching experience to her work with young children. She holds an Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and Anthropology, providing her with a well-rounded background in child development and social learning. Ms. Grace is passionate about helping young children develop strong social, emotional, and creative skills. She especially enjoys incorporating art and creative experiences into the classroom to encourage self-expression and engagement. Her educational background, teaching experience, and commitment to early learning help create a positive environment where children can grow and thrive.

Ms. Bailey has been part of The Goddard School – Meridian since 2023 and serves as the Lead Teacher in the Fantastic Fox classroom. She specializes in supporting children ages 2½ to 3 through important stages of social, emotional, and developmental growth. Recently certified in early childhood education, Ms. Bailey has expertise in positive guidance, social skill development, curriculum planning, and creating engaging learning environments. She incorporates movement, play, and hands-on experiences into learning while helping children develop emotional regulation, healthy boundaries, positive peer relationships, and independence. Her energetic and play-based approach creates a classroom where children can learn, explore, and build a strong foundation for future success.

Ms. Riley has been a member of The Goddard School – Meridian since 2024 and brings an energetic and engaging approach to her work in the Fantastic Fox classroom. Her teaching style emphasizes active, play-based learning, giving children opportunities to move, explore, and learn through hands-on experiences. Ms. Riley understands the importance of incorporating children’s natural curiosity and energy into meaningful learning experiences. She is also continuing her education in Elementary Education, demonstrating her commitment to professional growth and effective teaching practices. Her enthusiasm, continued education, and focus on active learning make her a valuable member of the Goddard School educational team.

Ms. Claire is the Lead Preschool Teacher and has been a dedicated member of The Goddard School – Meridian since April 2010. With more than 30 years of experience in education, she brings extensive knowledge and expertise to her work with young children. Ms. Claire holds a degree in Elementary Education from Thomas More College and has a particular passion for play-based learning. She understands the important role purposeful play has in supporting children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and academic development. Throughout her tenure at Goddard, Ms. Claire has positively influenced countless children and families while creating a joyful classroom environment where children can build confidence, develop social skills, and establish a lifelong love of learning.

Ms. Tracy has been a valued member of The Goddard School – Meridian since 2022 and serves as a Co-Teacher in the Playful Pronghorns classroom. She brings more than 30 years of experience working with children and a wealth of patience, kindness, and practical knowledge to her role. Originally from England, Ms. Tracy brings a diverse range of life experiences to the classroom. She has a genuine passion for preschool-aged children and enjoys supporting their curiosity through books, songs, creative activities, and hands-on learning. Her extensive experience and nurturing approach help create a classroom environment where children feel supported, engaged, and excited to learn.

Mr. Jake has been a valued member of The Goddard School – Meridian since 2008 and serves as the Lead Teacher in the Brilliant Bears classroom. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Education from Bowling Green State University, specializing in Curriculum Development and Early Childhood Education. Mr. Jake is committed to continued professional growth through Goddard University coursework and specialized training, including Positive Discipline for Early Educators. He is passionate about creating a curriculum-rich environment where children are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. His focus on Kindergarten readiness, independence, and whole-child development helps children build the skills and confidence they need for continued success.

Ms. Cindy has been a member of The Goddard School – Meridian since 2021 and serves as a Resource Teacher, giving her the opportunity to support children and educators throughout the school. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver and has a particular interest in child psychology and child development. Her educational background provides valuable insight into how children grow, learn, communicate, and develop relationships. Ms. Cindy enjoys working with children of all ages and helping classrooms create fun, educational, and nurturing environments. Her flexibility, knowledge, and passion for children make her an important part of the Goddard School educational team.

Ms. Lindsay has been part of The Goddard School – Meridian for three years and serves as a Lead Teacher in the Magnificent Moose classroom. She holds a degree in Human Development and Family Studies from Colorado State University. Ms. Lindsay has a particular passion for children’s literature and uses books and storytelling to support language development, imagination, communication, and learning across developmental areas. She also focuses on social-emotional learning, helping children develop empathy, self-awareness, confidence, and positive relationships. Her nurturing and intentional teaching approach creates a classroom environment where children feel valued, supported, and inspired to learn.

Ms. Jolene joined The Goddard School – Meridian in January 2026 and brings more than 20 years of experience in the childcare industry. Throughout her career, she has worked with children across a variety of developmental stages, building a strong understanding of the importance of nurturing and developmentally appropriate care. Ms. Jolene is passionate about creating engaging environments where children feel supported while having opportunities to explore, create, and develop new skills. Her extensive childcare experience and genuine passion for working with children allow her to contribute valuable knowledge and experience to the Goddard School community.

Ms. Shannu has been a member of The Goddard School – Meridian since 2025 and brings a nurturing, patient, and child-centered approach to her work with young learners. She views teaching as an opportunity to support children as they grow, explore, and develop their individual strengths. Ms. Shannu is passionate about creating a warm and engaging learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, exploring new ideas, and developing confidence and independence. Her dedication, creativity, and genuine care for each child help create a positive classroom experience where children are encouraged to discover, participate, and develop a strong foundation for future learning.

Ms. Mollie joined The Goddard School – Meridian in October 2025 and brings five years of experience working with children to her role. She is passionate about creating meaningful learning experiences that combine education, creativity, exploration, and play. Her background as an artist and dancer allows her to incorporate creative movement and self-expression into her work while encouraging children to explore their own interests and abilities. Ms. Mollie also places a strong emphasis on children’s health and safety and understands the importance of creating secure environments where children can learn and explore. Her creativity, energy, and commitment to early learning make her a valued member of the Goddard School team.

Ms. Jordan joined The Goddard School – Meridian in June 2025 and brings a strong passion for teaching, creativity, and the arts to her work with children. With a background in theater, she understands the important role creative expression can play in early learning. Ms. Jordan enjoys providing children with opportunities to explore the arts, build confidence, communicate their ideas, and express themselves in meaningful ways. Her creative approach helps make learning engaging while supporting children’s social-emotional development and confidence. Her passion for the arts and commitment to engaging educational experiences make her a valuable addition to the Goddard School team.

Ms. Stacy joined The Goddard School – Meridian in October 2025 and brings extensive experience working with children and families to her role. Prior to joining Goddard, she served as an administrator at a private K–12 school for 16 years and led an infant and toddler program. These experiences provided her with a broad understanding of educational environments, child development, and family relationships. Ms. Stacy is passionate about helping children learn, grow, and discover their individual strengths. Her extensive experience in education and leadership allows her to bring a valuable perspective to the Goddard School community and support children as they develop and learn.

Ms. Elana joined The Goddard School – Meridian in October 2025 and brings a passion for teaching, creativity, and hands-on learning to her work with children. As an artist herself, she enjoys incorporating art, imagination, and creative exploration into educational experiences. Ms. Elana believes children learn best when they are actively engaged, encouraged to explore new ideas, and given opportunities to express themselves. She is committed to creating learning experiences that are exciting, hands-on, and developmentally meaningful. Her creativity and enthusiasm help foster an environment where children can explore their interests, build confidence, and develop a lifelong love of learning.

Ms. Kavya joined The Goddard School – Meridian in 2026 and serves as a Resource Teacher, with a special focus on supporting the Bouncing Bunnies classroom. As a mother to a three-year-old, she brings both professional dedication and personal experience to her work with young children. Ms. Kavya enjoys building positive relationships with children and supporting their individual needs throughout the school day. In her role, she works alongside classroom teachers to create a nurturing, engaging environment where children feel supported as they learn, explore, and develop new skills. Her enthusiasm for working with young children and commitment to being a supportive member of the teaching team make her a wonderful addition to The Goddard School – Meridian community.

Tricia joins The Goddard School with a diverse and meaningful background in education, youth programming, and community leadership. She brings 2.5 years of experience in elementary education, along with more than 20 years of experience working with children and youth through programs such as Scouts and military youth programming. Her extensive experience has given her a strong understanding of child development, leadership, mentorship, and creating engaging experiences for children of all ages. As a mother of two children, including a college-aged child and a 13-year-old, Tricia also brings a personal perspective and deep appreciation for the many stages of childhood. She is passionate about creating a supportive classroom environment where children feel encouraged, capable, and excited to learn.

Kenzie serves as an Assistant Teacher in our Brilliant Bears classroom and brings a unique background in animal education and children's programming. For the past two years, Kenzie has worked in zoo-based educational programs, where she taught children about animals, nature, and the world around them through hands-on, engaging experiences. Her background in informal education has helped her develop a natural ability to spark children's curiosity and make learning interactive and memorable. Kenzie brings that same enthusiasm into the early childhood classroom, encouraging children to explore, ask questions, and learn through discovery. Her passion for education and experience creating engaging programs make her a wonderful addition to our teaching team.

Samy joined The Goddard School in 2026 and brings a strong educational and behavioral-development background to our teaching team. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and Development, providing her with a strong foundation in understanding children's development, learning, and individual needs. Samy also brings three years of professional experience as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT), where she supported children through individualized strategies designed to encourage communication, social development, independence, and positive behaviors. Her background gives her a thoughtful and individualized approach to working with children, allowing her to recognize that every child learns and develops in their own unique way. Samy is passionate about creating a supportive classroom environment where children feel understood, confident, and ready to grow.
