Consider joining our family of professional early childhood educators at the Goddard School of Sanford (Lake Mary Heathrow). Our program offers infants through pre-kindergarten. We are looking for dedicated highly qualified teachers in all age groups!

Our Lead Teacher/Assistant Teachers work together in the following ways:
• Ensure the safety of the children at all times.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment.
• Ensure all DCF rules and regulations are followed and maintained.
• Develop and execute high level lesson plans.
• Ensure that all lessons provide a variety of materials and resources for children to explore and manipulate during developmentally appropriate learning activities and imaginative play.
• Meet the individual needs of all children and ensure all expectations are developmentally appropriate.
• Interact with all children to support play, exploration, learning and their overall development.
• Execute high level classroom management skills.
• Establish and encourage high expectations for positive behavior.
• Use assessment tools.
• Foster an open, friendly, and cooperative partnership with each child and family.
• Communicate appropriately and professionally with all families and fellow staff.
• Participate in staff meetings and professional development trainings.

Assistant Teachers assist the Lead Teacher with the above-noted responsibilities.

Assistant Teacher Qualifications:
• 1 year experience in a licensed center / school required
• 45 DCF mandated hours
• CPR/First Aid certified
• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Strong written and communication skills

• 2 years experience in a licensed center / school required
• 45 DCF mandated hours
