Meet Sumi

Meet Sumi School Owner

Sumi brings more than 20 years of early childhood education experience to the Goddard School of Bellevue-Eastgate. As a certified early childhood educator, Sumi is passionate about creating a warm, safe, and nurturing environment where children feel loved, supported, and excited to learn every day. Through the Goddard School’s play-based approach to learning, strong health and safety standards, and compassionate qualified teachers, Sumi’s goal is to build a school community where children (infant, toddlers and preschool children) thrive, families feel connected, and teachers are empowered to make a meaningful difference. She is building the school as a premier childcare and daycare center with intention, love and belief that every child in the community deserves a strong start and her passion shines through in everything she does. She strives every day to provide a high-quality learning experience that lays the foundation for lifelong confidence, curiosity, and success in every child.

Infant
6 w - 12 m
In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.
Toddlers
12 - 24 m
As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.
Twos
2 - 3 yrs
In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.
Bridge
2.5 - 3.5 yrs
As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.
Preschool
3 - 4 yrs
In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.
Pre-K
4 - 5 yrs
