Where They Start Matters

At The Goddard School of Chantilly - South Riding, we believe that the start of your child's journey matters. We opened in 2011, committed to creating the kind of fun, enriching learning environment that we wanted for our own children. We have two nationally recognized accreditations, demonstrating our continued commitment to excellence. We offer full-time, part-time, and after-school programs, and our Kindergarten is VCPE-accredited. We welcome new families all year round! Convenient to South Riding, East Gate, Aldie, Stone Ridge & Arcola. Enrolling now for Fall 2025!

Meet Risa & Brad Owner

Ms. Risa and Mr. Brad are the proud owners of both Goddard Schools in Chantilly; Chantilly (Westfields) opened in 2003, and Chantilly (South Riding) opened at the end of 2011. Risa has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and serves as the Senior Education Director for the schools. Risa was previously a 4th and 5th grade teacher, so she knows well that an exceptional school depends on exceptional teachers. Risa oversees the hiring of every teacher we invite to join The Goddard School, and, as Senior Education Director, she makes sure that the environment we provide is caring, fun, safe, and educational. Brad is the business manager of both schools. Brad was trained as a lawyer, and he brings ten years of experience in the banking industry to the business side of running the schools. Education is so important to both of us that two of our children are educators, themselves (the third one is, inexplicably, a geologist). Welcome to our School!

Infant

6 w - 12 m

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.

Twos

2 - 3 yrs

In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.

Preschool

3 - 4 yrs

In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

Kindergarten

5 - 6 yrs

Hands-on learning and a focus on social-emotional development in our Kindergarten classroom will prepare your child for success in first grade and beyond!

A program of Child Care Aware of America, Child Care Aware helps families learn more about the elements of quality child care and how to locate programs in their communities. The Philip Schumacher Scholarship was named for the retired President and CEO of Goddard Systems.
