Our Teachers

My name is Tanya Glenn, and my husband, Jason, and I are the proud owners of The Goddard School located in Rockwall. We live in the local community and our two children, Madison and Champion, attend Rockwall ISD schools. Our relationship with The Goddard School began when we first enrolled Madison in the Toddler classroom. After a long search for the perfect school for our little one, we finally found The Goddard School and even though it was a bit of a drive, it was worth it for the education and socialization that The Goddard School provided. Years later, Champion also attend The Goddard School. Now both of our children are exceling at school, and we believe strongly that the foundation that both received from The Goddard School set them up for success. As parents, we experienced firsthand what an amazing school like this can do for our children, our community, and for helping to develop strong future leaders. That is why we wanted to bring The Goddard School to Rockwall.

"Hello! My name is Mrs. Amanda Clarke-Burns, and I'm thrilled to be taking on this role working as the Director at the Goddard School of Rockwall! I have been working in the childcare field for over 15 years. I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development with a specialization in Early Childhood Education from Humboldt State University in northern CA. My family and I have called North Texas home for seven years. I'm happily married to my husband, Sean, and we have two beautiful children Brayden and Benjamin. During our free time, we enjoy spending time on the lake and trying new local restaurants. Over the years, I have worked in various leadership roles within Education, including court advocacy and curriculum development in California, Oregon, and Texas. It is such a privilege to be a part of this strong team of educators who are dedicated to teaching and nurturing your children each and every day. I look forward to watching their exceptional growth throughout the years!"

"Hi, my name is Ms. Lexi, and I'm the Training Coordinator at the Goddard School of Rockwall! I've been working with children for 7+ years, and I have extensive experience in the childcare industry, working at multiple childcare facilities for 5+ years. I started out as a Lead Teacher when our school first opened, and I have recently taken on this new leadership role! This role allows me to assist in the hands-on training of new and current educators on our team. I'm so happy I get to work with both the teachers and the students at the same time! I love seeing the children light up with excitement when they learn something new and watch teachers accomplish their goals. One of my professional goals here at Goddard is to have a positive impact on our education program! Here are some fun facts about me: In my free time, I enjoy shopping and playing with her cats, Ms. Kitty and Luna. My favorite children’s book is “Pinkalicious” by Victoria & Elizabeth Kann."

Rose has worked with children for over 10 years, as a nanny as well as through volunteer work in her local nursery. She loves playing a part in the lives of children and loves how things that may be seemingly small can create a long-lasting positive impact in their lives. In her free time, she loves spending time with her family, volunteering, watching hockey games, and listening to music. Some of her favorite children's books are Nana Upstairs by Tommi DePaula, the Ramona Quimby series by Beverly Cleary, and anything by Roald Dahl.

We are so blessed to have Ms. Christy working with us. Ms. Christy has been working with children for six years, she worked at a Goddard School in Colorado she fulfilled many roles while working there teaching multiple age groups as well as filling in as a temporary assistant director. When asked about what she loves the most about working with children she said, “watching them reach different developmental milestones, and seeing their excitement for learning”. Ms. Christy describes herself as being a positive soul that is laid back and enjoys the little things in life. In her free time, she enjoys reading, enjoying the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family. Ms. Christy's favorite children’s book is “To Give a Mouse a Cookie” by Laura Numeroff. We are so happy to have her as part of our team!

Hello! My name is Grace, and I'm excited for my new adventure as a Resource Teacher! I’ve always worked with kids from a young age. As an older sister from a big family, I have always looked after my siblings and worked a few nannying jobs. My favorite age to work with is infants and toddlers! In my free time, I love to relax and watch movies with family and friends! When I was young, my favorite children's book was "Where The Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein.

We are so excited to have Ms. Maribel on our team of teachers. Ms. Maribel has been working in the childcare field for over 4 years. She has attended community college in pursuit of her bachelors degree in Education. When asked what she loved the most about working with children she said “I love being part of their early milestones, making them giggle and smile” In her free time Ms. Maribel enjoys “running errands” to Target! Her favorite children's books growing up were the “Junie B. Jones” series by Barbara Park. We know that Ms. Maribel is going to be a great teacher to all of her students here at our school!

We are so excited to have Ms. Saniya on our team of teachers. Ms. Saniya is new to the childcare industry and she is eager to learn more about childcare here at our school. When asked what she enjoys the most about working with children she said “ I love watching them grow and learn new things” In her free time Ms. Saniya enjoys baking, watching movies and hanging out with family and friends. Her favorite children’s book is “Pinkalicious” by Victoria Kann. We are so grateful to be a stepping stone in Ms. Saniya’s career journey, and we know that she will do great things here at our school.

Hi, my name is Ashley-Marie and I have worked in the education field for 7 years. I graduated from Grand Canyon University in October of 2023 with a bachelor’s in educational studies. I grew up in Northern California and moved to Texas in 2022. I have two blue heelers, Sapphire and Smokey, and in my free time I love exploring antique malls and thrifting.

We are so grateful to have Ms. Haley on our team of Toddler teachers! Ms. Haley has been working in childcare since 2022 at various child care centers. She is excited to start a new chapter in her career at Goddard Rockwall. In her free time, Ms. Haley enjoys baking and spending time with her dogs, Daisy & Loki. Her favorite children's book is “I Love You Forever” by Robert Munsch. We are excited to see all of the great things we know Ms. Haley will do for her students in Young Toddlers!

We are so excited to have Ms. Chloe on our team! Ms. Chloe has been working in the childcare field for over 10 years now. She previously worked at another Goddard School where she worked in their toddler classroom. She has a special place in her heart for that age group and when asked why she said “I love how excited they are to learn and experience new things, I also love being able to watch them meet their developmental milestones.” In her free time she enjoys baking, reading books, and cooking. Ms. Chloe's favorite children’s book is “Giraffes Can’t Dance” by Giles Andreae. We are so happy to be able to watch her grow with us!

We are so excited to have Ms. Rian on our team! Ms. Rian has been working with kids for over 12 years now as an early childhood educator. She has 4 years of college education in ECE and is working towards her CDA. When asked what she enjoys the most about working with children she said “I love seeing my students sweet smiles everyday and watching them get excited about all of the new things they have learned!”. In her free time she enjoys spending time with family, watching movies, baking, and making custom tee shirts! Her favorite children’s book is the “Little Critter” book series by Mercer Mayer. We know that all of Ms. Rian’s years of experience and knowledge will allow her to do amazing things here at our school!

We are so grateful to have Ms. Christa on our team of teachers, Ms. Christa has been working in childcare since 2017 as a nanny for local families. She is excited to start a new chapter in her career teaching in a classroom setting here at our school. Ms. Christa attends Arizona State University in pursuit of her bachelors degree. When asked what she enjoys the most about working with children she said “getting to see the smiles on their faces when they are learning something new.” In her free time Ms. Christa enjoys paddle boarding with her husband and spending time with her family. Her favorite children's book is “Goodnight Moon” by Margaret Wise Brown. We are so excited to see all of the great things we know Ms. Christa will do for all her students.

We are so lucky to have Ms. Taneisha on our team of teachers! Ms. Taneisha has been working in childcare for over 16 years now and has her Associates Degree in media communications. When asked what she enjoys the most about working with children she said, “ seeing the smiles on their faces each and everyday knowing that I have made a positive impact on their lives, is such a rewarding experience.” In her free time Ms. Taneisha likes spending time with her family. Her favorite children's book is “Alice and the Fairy” by David Shannon . We know that Ms. Taneisha is going to give all of her students the wonderful learning experiences they deserve!

We are so lucky to have Ms. Amber on our team of teachers, Ms. Amber has been working in the childcare field for over 4 years and has worked previously at a Goddard school in another state. Ms. Amber is dedicated to providing her students with the best care and education possible which is why she has completed her Child Development Associate. When asked what she loves the most about working in early childhood education she said “ I love the relationships I build with both children and their families. Learning all the things that spark my students interest and enhancing/expanding on my lessons to include those interests. Watching them have fun learning about things they like.” In her free time Ms. Amber enjoys spending time with her sons going to parks, museums, aquariums and more! Her favorite children’s book is “Oh The Places You'll Go” by Dr Suess! We know that Ms. Amber is such a great asset to our team and she is going to be a great teacher to all of her students!

Hi! My name is Ms. Cheyenne and I've been working with children for 6 years. I have worked in various positions in Education, both in teaching and educational leadership roles! In my experience, I have worked with children from infancy age to elementary age. I've always had a passion for helping kids learn and grow! I absolutely love when one of your kiddos walks into the room and gets so excited to see the teachers and their friends. It’s reassuring to know that they love those who take care of them. My favorite children’s book is “Stellaluna” by Janell Cannon. You might see me reading it during Morning Meeting in the Bridge class! In my free time, I love spending time with my family, especially with my fiancé and step-son.

We are so lucky to have Ms. Jennifer on our team of teachers, Ms. Jennifer has been working in childcare for over 2 years now and has her bachelors in Child Development and Family Studies. When asked why she enjoys working with children she said “I feel a sense of fulfillment in being able to work one-on-one with each kid and providing them with quality care. I know that this is necessary for healthy growth and a bright future.” In her free time Ms. Jennifer enjoys going to the gym, spending time with her family, and painting with her cousins. Ms. Jennifer’s favorite children’s books are the “No David!” series by David Shannon. We know hat Ms. Jennifer is a great addition to our team and is going to be an amazing teacher for all of her students!

Hi, my name is Ms. Kate and I have been working in childcare for almost a year now. I have two years of intern experience with FTI (Future Teacher Internships) which has helped me explore the teaching profession. My time as an intern helped me discover my love of teaching and helped me decide to continue on the path of childcare. I am working towards my bachelor's degree in early childhood education in hopes of becoming a kindergarten teacher in the future. In my free time I love to read and love spending time with friends and family.

Hello, my name Ms. Karie Phillips and I’ve worked in childcare for over 25 years. I have worked in various classrooms and with different age groups and love being able to see children learn and grow. In my spare time, I enjoy playing and coaching softball and hanging out with my fur babies. One fun fact about me is I that have a wood business and make various wood based home decor signs. I love spending time outdoors, exploring craft shows, and spending time my with my boyfriend and our families.

Hi, I am Emily! I am a mother to a wild little boy and have been with my amazing husband for 6 years. In my free time I enjoy reading, riding motorcycles, attending concerts and sporting events (mostly hockey and soccer) and spending time with my family. I have been working with kids since I was 15 when I started babysitting my family friends' children, and I have been working with kids ever since. I love being able to help nurture our future leaders! I also love anything relating to medicine and I am working towards my paramedic license and hope to become a flight medic one day!

Hi, my name is Ms. Bernadette, and I'm an assistant teacher at the Goddard School of Rockwall! I've been working with children for 4+ years, and I have various experience working in education with children of all ages. I started out as an infant teacher, then went on to work as a substitute teacher for K-12, as well as a preschool floater and after school teacher for schoolers. Recently I have taken on this new role as an assistant teacher! This role allows me to assist in the day-to-day structure of the classroom and build new relationships with my students and fellow teachers. I'm so excited to care for and teach your children! One of my professional goals here at Goddard is to have a positive impact on the youth and become CDA certified.
