Our Goddard School Teachers

John and Amanda Snowman are the proud owners of The Goddard School in Melissa, Texas, with Amanda serving as the on-site owner. This school is their second location in the Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) area, following the successful opening of the Allen location, which was the first Goddard School in North Texas over 16 years ago. The Snowman family includes four children: Katie, a recent graduate in Education from Texas State University; Jack, who works in IT and serves as an F-16 Crew Chief in the Air Force Reserves; and Samantha and Kimberly, both college graduates who are now building their own careers. John and Amanda share, “Having the best school, the best teachers, and the best educational program is incredibly rewarding to us as parents. We are honored to serve the children as we watch this generation blossom into fine young people!” They are excited to continue their journey in Melissa, Texas, and look forward to becoming a cherished part of the local community.

Allison will be coming from our Allen school where she is our Director of Operations. She has been with us for 8 years, and has a total of 15 years of experience working with children! Allison started as a Lead Teacher in our Jr. Kinder classroom and then was promoted to an Assistant Director, and then the Director of Operations. She graduated from Texas A&M University with her Bachelor’s of Science degree. Throughout college, Ms. Allison worked with children as a gymnastics instructor and mini cheer coach. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog Sawyer. Ms. Allison’s favorite part of working with children is helping them accomplish milestones. The conversations she gets to have with the kiddos are also the highlights of her days. The best part of working at Goddard, for Allison, is the staff environment. She says, “We are all here for the same reason, to make an impact and teach, and we are great at doing it as a team!”
