We are Shermeen and Akbar, the proud owners of The Goddard School of Kyle. Our journey with The Goddard School stems from a deep belief in the power of early education to nurture children’s growth, curiosity, and potential. As parents to two young boys, we understand how important it is to find a school that feels like an extension of home — a place where children are safe, supported, and inspired. That’s why our state-of-the-art preschool is designed to foster confidence, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. From our innovative, inquiry-based curriculum to our warm and welcoming environment, every detail reflects our dedication to quality education and care. Akbar’s master's degree in education policy from Harvard University and Shermeen’s background in economics from Emory uniquely position us to create a school that blends academic excellence with a joyful, child-centered approach. We are excited to partner with Kyle families to help every child reach their full potential.

Hi, I’m Emiley, and I’m proud to serve as the Director at The Goddard School of Kyle, TX. I focus on building a supportive school where children thrive, staff feel valued, and families are true partners. With a decade in early childhood education, I’ve grown from teacher to Director, mentoring educators and guiding programs that enrich learning and growth. The Goddard School is special to me not only as my workplace but as a parent. Two of my children are proud graduates. Seeing them thrive through our curriculum showed me firsthand the difference a high-quality preschool education makes. That experience continues to inspire my work every day, reminding me that family and community are at the heart of everything I do. I’m certified in Conscious Discipline®, a nationally recognized program that helps children develop self-regulation, resilience, and healthy relationships. I’m also a wife and proud mom of four, active in the Wallace Middle School PTA, and a Texas Storm Cheer mom.
