    Owner
    Kam has been the owner of The Goddard School since we opened in 2008. Family is the basis behind his decision to build a Goddard School. Kam attended the University of Oregon where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Science with a minor in Biology and Chemistry
  • Ms Nershana

    Ms Nershana

    Owner
    Recognizing the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment, Nershana assists with efforts to provide a high quality program for the children enrolled in our school. She has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.
  • Ms Dawne

    Ms Dawne

    Center Director
    Mrs. Dawne began working with children at the young age of 14 years old. She has 5 children of her own and previously operated her own child care facility. Mrs. Dawne is an avid crafter and extremely creative, which is reflected in her teaching style. She has her Associates of Arts in Paralegal Studies and also in American Sign Language. She has her CDA, Director's License, and is a certified CPR/ First Aid trainer.

    Education Director
    Mrs. Esther began her career in Early Childhood Development in 2005 as a teacher in the classroom, and quickly realized that she loved working with children, families and curriculum. She has worked at multiple childcare facilities, including two Goddard Schools. She attended Alvin Community College for Businesss Administration and Child Development Administration. She has her Director's License, her Child Development Administration Certification, and a Child Development Associate, specializing in infants. She has also recently completed her CDA coursework specializing in Preschool. She has been happily married since 2009 and has three children of her own. On her off time she likes to do home projects, garden and plan family gatherings.
  • Ms Kayla

    Administrative Assistant
    Ms. Kayla graduated from Prairie View A&M University majoring in Mass Communications and minoring in Sociology. Before starting and after finishing college she dedicated lots of time to teaching elementary students during after school programs. Kayla also spent time babysitting neighborhood kids ranging from various ages during this time. When it comes to teaching, it’s in her blood. She comes from a generation of school teachers and to her, the joy of bonding and being a part of the mental, physical and intellectual growth of the next generation is a beautiful thing. When Kayla is not in teacher mode, she enjoys playing the piano and violin as well as video games. She also loves binge watching shows and creating varies videos and pictures through adobe.

    Infant Teacher
    Beatrice, better known as Ms. B, has been in childcare for 37 years! She has three children of her own and 9 grandchildren. With one of her children having ADHD, she decided to open up a daycare out of her home. This is when her career in childcare began and where she gained experience working with all ages. Once her kids were grown, she began working as a custodian in the school district, but eventually found her way back into childcare.

    Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Clarissa currently has a degree in massage therapy and is working on getting her Associates of Applied Science. She has been working in childcare for over 3 years. She found her love for early childhood education through her son, who went to many therapists at an early age. As she watched his therapists help him with his speech and fine motor skills, she told herself this would be something she’d love to do! Before working at Goddard, Ms. Clarissa worked at other childcare centers where she taught children from the age of one up to school-age. Now that she is in the infant room, she can’t see herself anywhere else. She loves it! In her spare time, she loves being with her beautiful family and just enjoying life all together. She is honored to be working with your kids every day here at Goddard Friendswood!

    Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Grace graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2019 and is currently working towards a Bachelors in Human Resource Management accompanied with a teaching certification. Prior to working at The Goddard School, Ms. Grace was a nanny for two years. She loves being able to form genuine connections with the children and their families as she watches them learn and grow. Outside of work and school, you can find her with family and friends, at a concert, or making earrings for herself and friends.
  • Ms Soraida

    Ms Soraida

    Substitute Teacher
    Ms. Sarah is a mother of four adult children plus a grandmother of four more, two teenagers and two toddlers. She has been working in childcare in one way or another for many years. She has worked with many churches through their summer programs, children’s church, and their nursery childcare. She has also worked with the local MOPS programs and was a substitute for several schools in our area. She is a creative person, so she enjoys all forms of art along with all kinds of crafting. She has a passion for sharing her creativity with children. She looks forward to her time in the outdoors; camping with her family is one of her favorite times. Ms. Sarah believes it is important to provide children with a safe, fun, fulfilling and enriched environment. She absolutely loves working with children of all ages. She counts it a privilege to be in each one of their lives.
  • Ms Shavon

    Ms Shavon

    Infant Teacher
    Ms. Shavon graduated from James Madison High School and has been around kids her whole life. She is now on the path to getting her CDA for child education. Growing up her grandmother had her own daycare with children from ages newborn to two years old. She is the oldest of five and even has experience dealing with children with ADHD. In her free time, she likes to listen to music, color and be around family.
  • Ms Sandra

    Ms Sandra

    Pre-K Teacher
    Ms. Sandra started a journey with working with kids in 2003. She is the oldest of five and a grandmother to five grandchildren. She has continued to use and share with others writing without tears which is an alternate way to communicate positively to kids. She is in the process of getting her CDA to further her education in childhood development. In her free time gardening has a special place in Ms. Sandra's heart as well as cooking and baking, which she loves to share these skills and talents with kids.
  • Ms Kirklyn

    Ms Kirklyn

    Bridge Teacher
    Ms. Kirklyn is a fun upbeat person. She is pursuing a degree in dental hygiene as well as has her own small business selling Freshies. She has several years of childcare experience from babysitting young children during summers to working in fulltime childcare facilities. In her free time, she enjoys playing tennis, doing makeup and playing with her two dogs and one bird.
