    Owner
    Kam has been the owner of The Goddard School since we opened in 2008. Family is the basis behind his decision to build a Goddard School. Kam attended the University of Oregon where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in General Science with a minor in Biology and Chemistry
  • Ms Nershana

    Ms Nershana

    Owner
    Recognizing the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment, Nershana assists with efforts to provide a high quality program for the children enrolled in our school. She has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology.
  • Ms Dawne

    Ms Dawne

    Center Director
    Mrs. Dawne began working with children at the young age of 14 years old. She has 5 children of her own and previously operated her own child care facility. Mrs. Dawne is an avid crafter and extremely creative, which is reflected in her teaching style. She has her Associates of Arts in Paralegal Studies and also in American Sign Language. She has her CDA, Director's License, and is a certified CPR/ First Aid trainer.

    Education Director
    Mrs. Esther began her career in Early Childhood Development in 2005 as a teacher in the classroom, and quickly realized that she loved working with children, families and curriculum. She has worked at multiple childcare facilities, including two Goddard Schools. She attended Alvin Community College for Businesss Administration and Child Development Administration. She has her Director's License, her Child Development Administration Certification, and a Child Development Associate, specializing in infants. She has also recently completed her CDA coursework specializing in Preschool. She has been happily married since 2009 and has three children of her own. On her off time she likes to do home projects, garden and plan family gatherings.

    Administrative Assistant
    Ms. Kayla graduated from Prairie View A&M University majoring in Mass Communications and minoring in Sociology. Before starting and after finishing college she dedicated lots of time to teaching elementary students during after school programs. Kayla also spent time babysitting neighborhood kids ranging from various ages during this time. When it comes to teaching, it’s in her blood. She comes from a generation of school teachers and to her, the joy of bonding and being a part of the mental, physical and intellectual growth of the next generation is a beautiful thing. When Kayla is not in teacher mode, she enjoys playing the piano and violin as well as video games. She also loves binge watching shows and creating varies videos and pictures through adobe.

    Pre-K Teacher
    Ms. Grace graduated from Santa Fe High School in 2019 and is currently working towards a Bachelors in Human Resource Management accompanied with a teaching certification. Prior to working at The Goddard School, Ms. Grace was a nanny for two years. She loves being able to form genuine connections with the children and their families as she watches them learn and grow. Outside of work and school, you can find her with family and friends, at a concert, or making earrings for herself and friends.

    Bridge Teacher
    Ms. Hannah joined the Navy at 19 years old serving for 5.5 years and having the opportunity to travel to 6 different countries. At 21 she had her daughter and having to raise her on her own she realized that her passion was working with kids. Being able to introduce kids to different art styles and music is really important in Ms. Hannah's class because it expresses herself and shows the kids more ways to express themselves.

    Ms Melinda

    School Age Teacher
    Ms. Melinda was born and raised in a small town in Mississippi. Growing up her grandmother ran a daycare which Ms. Melinda would visit every summer learning different skills to take care of babies. She graduated from Mississippi State University with a degree in psychology, afterwards having 2 different internships where she was later offered a position. She worked at a nursing home for 20 years and later worked as a social worker for the elderly for 6 years. After raising 3 kids on her own and them leaving the nest, she realized her happiest moments were being able to teach her children and watch them grow into loving people.
  • Ms Shavon

    Infant Teacher
    Ms. Shavon graduated from James Madison High School and has been around kids her whole life. She is now on the path to getting her CDA for child education. Growing up her grandmother had her own daycare with children from ages newborn to two years old. She is the oldest of five and even has experience dealing with children with ADHD. In her free time, she likes to listen to music, color and be around family.

    Ms. Lilly is a fun, adventurous, family-oriented individual. She has years of experience in childcare from volunteering at church and babysitting for friends and family. Ms. Lily's goal is to show/ teach children how to communicate with each other and treat her class like a family. On her free time, she loves cooking, cuddling with her cat and spending time with her family.

    Kitchen Manager
    Ms. Anna has worked in school cafeterias for all ages, Pre-K through high school, and she loves it. the highlight of the job is getting to watch the kids grow as well as getting to know each and every one of them. On her spare time, she enjoys keeping her 8 grandkids, going shopping and dabbling in crafts. Ms. Anna's hero is her father who grew up with 15 siblings who some didn't know how to read but still kept a steady job and provided for her family. She married her husband at the age of 48 and is enjoying life and trips to the beach and waterparks whenever she can.

    Ms. Jennifer is a proud graduate of Alvin High School. She has always wanted to work with children because it makes her happy to see their little smiles. Ms. Jennifer gets her childcare experience from caring for her baby brother on her free time. When she is not spending time with family, she loves to work out at the gym because of the rewarding feeling.

    Toddler Teacher
    Ms. Natalia graduated from Plymouth High School June of 2021. She is from Plymouth, Indiana and moved to Houston in 2022. She started working as a sales associate then progressed to a dental receptionist. Ms. Natalia's passion for kids comes from her closeness to her family, growing up they always spent time doing different activities, eating good food, and enjoying new experiences, and she wants to create that sort of space and homey feel in her classroom for her kiddos. One of her favorite hobbies is to go to the park in the afternoon with her dog, Bennie.

    Preschool Teacher
    Ms. Isabella is a positive and happy spirited person who always has a smile on her face. Ms. Bella was a teacher aide for fourth grade and pre-k and felt this was her passion, to be able to teach them great habits and life lessons. During her free time, she loves to plant beautiful flowers, clean and tidy up, and hang out with friends.

    Ms. Emma is very calm and has a can-do attitude. She finished high school with a dream of becoming a school psychologist following the footsteps of her mother. Before that dream can come true, she wants to work her way up and start in childcare. Growing up Ms. Emma babysat for families in her neighborhood as well as watched people in her family work in school districts and daycares all of her life. In her free time, she likes to spend time with her twin brother and eat Chinese food.
