Our Teachers

My name is Cyndi Murphy and I am the on-site owner at the Goddard School located in Murfreesboro TN. I am thrilled to have opened a Goddard School in Murfreesboro, bringing the best quality education and care to the families in the surrounding area. I am a firm believer in the Goddard program as I was a Goddard corporate employee for 9 years and my responsibility was supporting franchisees and directors by opening new schools throughout the country. It was the most rewarding job I have ever had, until now. I am passionate about Early Childhood Education. I possess a Master's Degree in ECE and have been in the profession for over 38 years. I'm looking forward to partnering with your family in the education and care of your children.

Ms. Alicia has 17 years of experience working in early childhood education. She is a former lead teacher, employee and mentor trainer, and assistant director. She has a true passion for growing big hearts for God and setting an educational foundation as well as helping lead others to grow in their teaching career. She enjoys spending time with her extended family, making memories with friends, attending church followed by Sunday brunch, home projects, and going on adventures with her husband and three children. As for hobbies, Ms. Alicia enjoys making things with her Cricut, shopping, and living life to the fullest!

Ms. Tyler has her Bachelor's of Science in Early Childhood Education from Millikin University. She has been working professionally with children for 12 years, both in the classroom and in school administration. Ms. Tyler enjoys reading, going to movies and eating great food.

Ms. Sam is currently working on her Child Development Credential. She has three years experience working professionally with children. She loves reading, hiking, crafting, and hanging out with friends.

Maria has an AA in Accounting. She has spent 3 years teaching in a licensed center. In Maria's spare time she enjoys walking, spending time with family and sewing.

Ms. Shelly graduated from MTSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies K-8. She has experience working with children for over 20 years. Ms. Shelly is a mom, wife, church VBS volunteer, and loves scrapbooking and animals.

Leanne has a Master's Degree in English Composition. She has been working with children in an early education center for 2 years prior to coming to Goddard. Leanne enjoys reading, baking and playing games.

Mackenzie is pursuing a Child Care Development Associate Degree. She has experience working in an early education setting for over 2 years and loves teaching children 1-14 months. She enjoys reading, painting, arts and crafts and camping.

Ms. Meri has college courses in Genetics, Biotechnology, and a minor in Psychology. She has 7 years of experience working in an early education setting. Ms. Meri has 3 children of her own and loves doing art activities.

Jana has her Associates degree in teaching and has been working in childcare for 3 years. She enjoys baking and spending time with her family, as well as traveling, reading, and musical activities.

Ms. Ashley has completed college courses and has worked in Murfreesboro City Schools. Ms. Ashley has 3 children of her own and enjoys being home with her family in her spare time.

Ms. Janice has worked professionally with children for 21 years. She has experience as a teacher and director. Ms. Janice enjoys crafting, reading, and traveling.

Kayla has a BS in Marketing. She comes to us with 8 years of experience as a nanny and child care educator. She enjoys crafts, video games and going to pilates class.

Ms. Olivia has an associate's degree in computer science. She loves to teach children in Sunday school and has a 4 year-old daughter. Ms. Olivia likes cooking, reading, and swimming.

Alyssa has 2 years of early education experience in a child care setting. She loves reading, doing puzzles and putting together lego sets.

Ms. Caylin has been teaching young children professionally for the last eight years. She enjoys loving and caring for young children as well as watching them learn. She is a proud mom of two and enjoys spending time with her family.

Brooklyn has 6 years of experience in an early education setting. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends outside of work.

Payton is currently working on her degree in Early Childhood Education. She has several years experience working in a early education program. In her spare time she enjoys art, reading and Bible journaling.

Ms. Shelly has over 20 years of experience in childcare. She spent many of those years teaching preschool and as a scout leader for boys and girls of all ages. Ms. Shelly enjoys crafting, making wreaths,and is a proud soccer mom to her daughter.

Kourtnei has a Bachelor's Degree in Integrated Studies. She has experience working with children in a church setting for several years. Outside of work Kourtnei loves to read, listen to music and cook.

Melanie has a degree in Sociology. She has 20 years of experience working in an early education setting and has operated her own in home child care center. She is a mom of 2 and enjoys anything outdoors.

Ms. Kiara is currently a junior at MTSU working on her accounting degree, she has worked in childcare for two years and when she is not studying loves hanging out with her friends, scrapbooking and taking care of her cat Louie.

Delaney has a Bachelor's Degree in Art History from University of TN Chattanooga. She has been working with children for many years. Outside of work Delaney enjoys hiking, walking her dog, and listening to podcasts.

Ms. Ruby is attending MTSU majoring in Elementary Education. She has worked at the Preschool at her church and enjoys working with children. She likes to read in her spare time as well as enjoy her favorite Starbucks drink.

Demetria has an Associates Degree in Surgical Technology and a diploma in Dentistry. She has experience teaching all ages, but is passionate about teaching children in the 4-5 year old age group getting them school ready. Ms. Demetria loves going to the beach and spending time with family.

Ms. Lavanda has 28 years of experience working with children in various settings. She graduated from Southwestern Illinois State University. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, spending time with family and church activities.

Hannah has over 8 years of experience in an early education program as a teacher and an administrator. She has 3 children 11, 9 and 5 and loves spending time with her family.

Presley has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, a minor in Special Education and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Psychology. Presley has experience working in a child care setting in a Toddler Classroom. In her spare time she enjoys being outdoors, working out, and watching her little brother's sports activities.

Addison is a student at MTSU studying Education as a minor. She has experience with children in a babysitting capacity and is excited to get into the field of education working with children at The Goddard School. Outside of work Addison enjoys reading, painting, spending time with her family and planting.

Ms. Julie has early childhood education courses and has 7.5 years of experience working with children. Ms. Julie is engaged and has a baby girl, she loves to paint and bake.

Joslyn is currently studying at MTSU as a physical education major. She loves playing pickleball and enjoys working with children.

Jamelia graduated from MTSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Child and Family Studies and a minor in Sociology and is currently enrolled in a Master's program. She has over 7 years of experience working with children. In her spare time Ms. Jamelia enjoys shopping, decorating and singing.

Kelsey will be graduating next semester from Motlow State Community College with an Associates Degree. She has spent many years working with young children and has 2 young children of her own. Kelsey enjoys doing crafts and being with her family.

Ms. Renee graduated from Northwestern Technical College. She has over 10 years experience in an early education setting. Ms. Renee enjoys swimming, kayaking, camping and going to the beach.

Ms. Chrystal has a BA in Elementary Education from Virginia Tech. She has 25+ years of experience teaching Kindergarten, 1st, 2nd, 3rd and 7th as well as experience within the Early Education setting. Ms. Chrystal has 4 grandchildren and enjoys puzzles, cooking, and bike riding.

Ms. Cat has been teaching in an early education program for 4 years, was a nanny for 2 and spent 5 years as an on-line tutor in Math and English. Ms. Cat enjoys cooking, reading and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Teyanna has an Associates Degree in Health Sciences. She is the oldest of 4 siblings and has been working in an Early Education setting for 2 years. Ms. Teyanna enjoys traveling and being with her children.

Ms. Priscilla has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish. She has worked with children in an early education setting for 4 years. Ms. Priscilla enjoys watching her son play baseball, reading and yoga.

Ms. Odetta has a BA in Sociology and 5 years experience working with children in an Early Education Program. In her spare time Ms. Odetta enjoys reading and playing board games.
