Our Teachers

Meet Mr. Dave is our onsite owner of The Goddard School of Hendersonville. He has an Engineering Degree from West Virginia University and 20 years in sales with The Lincoln Electric Company. Mr. Dave is a proud father of twin boys and a daughter. Known as "Coach Dave" to many, he has served on several boards and coached various sports teams within our Hendersonville community. Alongside his wife Kara, who is the Onsite Owner at the Gallatin School, Dave is passionate about ensuring a top-notch academic and nurturing environment for your children.

Ms. Heather has been with The Goddard School of Hendersonville since July of 2012. She completed her undergraduate coursework in 2007 at Tuson College in Lancashire, England. She then obtained her CDA from Montclair State University in New Jersey. She was voted National Goddard Teacher of the Year in 2018! Since then she joined our Admin Team as the Assistant Director and continues to make our school better as our Director. Ms. Heather has lived in the Hendersonville community since 2012 with her family! You can catch her bowling or spending time at various events through her Church.

Ms. Katie has been with The Goddard School since 2017. She has her Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Western Kentucky University. Ms. Katie started with us as a Toddler Teacher and helped with various age groups throughout the years. She is our go-to person for classroom management and parent communication. She is now part of our Admin Team as our Assistant Director! Ms. Katie is a proud Goddard parent to her two daughters and enjoys spending her weekends exploring Nashville.

Ms. Kendra has been with The Goddard School since 2021. She has her CDA and had over 5 years of experience in an early childhood education setting before starting in our infant department. She started with The Goddard School organization in Illinois until she joined our team as the lead Infant Teacher at The Goddard School in Gallatin. Ms. Kendra is now part of our Admin Team as the Office Coordinator! She enjoys reading and spending time with family in her free time. Ms. Kendra is currently expecting her first child with her husband.

Ms. Kat has been with The Goddard School since 2016. She has her Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and is working towards her Bachelor's in Business Management. She has also gained experience in sales and marketing working for Walt Disney World, Nintendo, and Dell Technologies. She started with us as a Toddler Teacher and eventually joined the Infant team at our Gallatin location when they opened in 2019. Ms. Kat is now our Events and Experience Manager for both The Gallatin and Hendersonville Goddard Schools. She is a proud Goddard parent of two Goddard graduates and her youngest who is still in our program! Ms. Kat loves to spend her time reading and enjoying any outdoor activities.

Ms. Christy has been with The Goddard School since 2014. She earned her Bachelor of Science from The College of Education and Behavioral Sciences, Department of Consumer and Family Sciences at Western Kentucky University. She worked in management and sales for 7 years before starting her teaching career. Ms. Christy came to us with over 9 years of experience teaching in a preschool setting and is a key part of prepping our JK students for Kindergarten. She lives in Hendersonville with her husband and twin daughters. She enjoys spending time with her family, visiting her daughters at Vanderbilt University, and traveling.

Ms. Theresa has been with The Goddard School since 2022. She has an incredible 44 years of dedicated experience in early childhood. She was previously the Education Director of the church program in Indiana, has worked in various early childhood education settings, and has a CDA. Ms. Theresa has been a huge asset in helping our Junior Kindergarten students prepare for a successful transition into Kindergarten. During her free time, she enjoys photography and spending time with her two dogs Pollyanna and Savannah.

Ms. Sonja has been with the Goddard School since 2018. She came to us with over 16 years of experience and has her TECTA certification. Ms. Sonja has worked with many different age groups and has three grown children. Her JK students are always well-prepared and ready to start their Kindergarten journey. In her free time, she loves to watch sports and sewing. She is also a proud Goddard Grandparent!

Mica has been with the Goddard School since 2022. She graduated from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations and Event Planning. She has worked for Metro Parks Summer Program and Vanderbilt Medical Child & Family Center. She helps her JK class succeed every day and is a huge part of their easy transition into Kindergarten. Ms. Mica loves to spend her time relaxing and shopping!

Ms. Candace has been with the Goddard School since 2022. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree at Liberty University. Ms. Candace started nannying and was a small group leader during high school. She has been a key part of our Pre K team and is an essential role in helping children in her class understand their social emotional needs. Ms. Candace enjoys reading, writing, and has plans to become an author in the future!

Ms. Cynthia has been with our Goddard Schools since 2023. With over five years of invaluable experience at a different Goddard School, she is a versatile educator well-versed in working with children across all age groups. Her tenure at the previous school has honed her skills in understanding and nurturing the developmental needs of children, ensuring a holistic approach to their learning journey. Ms. Cynthia is excited to bring her expertise and passion for early childhood education to this new environment, fostering a love for learning in her students.

Ms. Jenna has been with The Goddard School since 2021. She is a passionate educator with a diverse educational background. She has a Bachelor of Science in Human Services from California State University, along with an Associate's Degree in Psychology. Ms. Jenna's commitment to early childhood development is evident in her engaging activities that not only educate but also nurture social and emotional growth. With her understanding of human behavior and dedication to fostering a supportive learning environment, Ms. Jenna plays a vital role in guiding our young learners toward their full potential.

Ms. Beatriz has been with The Goddard School since 2023. She has her teaching degree from Edetania University in Spain. With over 17 years of teaching experience in Spain, Ms. Beatriz has honed her skills in nurturing young minds. Her background as a Spanish teacher at Hermitage Christian Academy further enriches her ability to connect with students through language and culture. Ms. Beatriz's dedication to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment empowers children to embrace diversity while exploring the wonders of education. Her international expertise and commitment to educational excellence make her a valuable asset to our school.

Ms. Amy has been with The Goddard School since 2023. She started her journey in early childhood working for The Boys and Girls Club and came to us with over 5 years of experience. She is working towards her degree and is a huge asset to our Pre-K team. She enjoys gardening and spending time with her family. She is also a proud Goddard Parent! Currently pursuing a degree in early childhood education, she believes in fostering a love for learning while encouraging curiosity and imagination in every child.

-Susan has been with the Goddard School since July 2022. She has harbored a lifelong passion for working with children, and she has dedicated herself to this vocation since her high school years. Her profound satisfaction stems from witnessing the growth and learning journey of children under her care. Susan takes immense delight in the moments when the children's faces radiate with excitement upon mastering new knowledge and skills.

Ms. Brooke has been an integral member of The Goddard School of Hendersonville team since 2022, where she demonstrates a genuine passion for nurturing and instructing our youngest learners, facilitating their development of crucial social skills, and instilling a sense of group dynamics. Brooke brings to her role an academic foundation, holding an Associates Degree in Mathematics and Science from Vol State.

Ms. Melissa has been with The Goddard School since 2023. With an impressive 25 years of experience in nurturing infants, Ms. Melissa brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to our classroom. Her journey in childcare has been marked by a deep commitment to the well-being and development of the youngest members of our community.

Amber has been with The Goddard Schools since 2023. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Child and Adolescent Development from California State University - Northridge. Growing up, Amber's mom owned a day care in their home and Amber gained valuable experience there throughout her high school and college years. Amber also nannied for an infant and has experience teaching preschoolers.

Ms. Amy has been with The Goddard School since 2023. She holds a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration from Belmont University. Her career in childcare spans five years, exclusively focused on the nurturing and development of infants. Amy brings invaluable expertise in infant development to our infant team. Her nurturing approach includes singing and interactive engagement with infants, fostering a sense of security and affection to ensure that they feel loved and cared for in their early developmental stages.

Mrs. Gaye has completed coursework in Early Childhood Education through Volunteer State Community College, completed 30 hours of orientation through TECTA, the Tennessee Early Childhood Training Alliance, and participated in many CCR&R workshops. She began her career in Early Childhood Education in 1979 and has a wealth of knowledge to share with her students and coworkers. She has been a part of our team at The Goddard School since 2014.

Ms. Kaila has been with The Goddard School family since 2023. With roots at Vol State Community College, she embarked on her journey in early childhood education. Ms. Kaila's dedication to nurturing young minds shines through her warm and engaging approach. Her tenure at The Goddard School is a testament to her commitment to fostering a love for learning in every child she encounters.
