Meet Caroline Owner
My name is Caroline Smith and my Husband, Cole, and I are the proud owners of Goddard Gold Hill. We are from from Edisto Beach, South Carolina. I have a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Masters degree in Divergent Learning, both from Columbia College. I have 10 years of teaching experience in Pre-K, Kindergarten and 1st grade. Cole and I also spent two years serving in the Peace Corps on the small island nation of Vanuatu where I taught in grades 1-5 and he did community development work. Cole now works for Continental Tire here in Fort Mill. I started out as the Education Director here at our school in 2019, became the on site owner in 2020 and Cole and I officially purchased the school in May of 2022. We are so thrilled to be here and to be a part of your child's learning and growth! We love to travel and to spend time with our two children, Ann and Brantley.

Infant
6 w - 12 m
In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.
Toddlers
12 - 24 m
As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.
Twos
2 - 3 yrs
In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.
Bridge
2.5 - 3.5 yrs
As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.
Preschool
3 - 4 yrs
In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.
Pre-K
4 - 5 yrs
As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

Caring staff, wonderful curriculum and beautiful facility
We have been at Goddard Gold Hill for a month. Our daughter use to cry at drop offs at her old school, but at Goddard she hasn't cried ONCE! The teachers are true teachers providing education and great classroom rules at the 4 year old level. We are beyond happy with Goddard and so excited to see how our daughter is coming home with new things she has learned.
I felt extremely welcomed from the first day. The entire staff is professional, friendly, and attentive. We’ve experienced other top-tier daycare centers in the area, but the experience at Goddard is second to none. Our daughter adapted quicker than expected, which I attribute to the dedicated and loving teachers.
