  • We've had both our boys in Goddard. The social interaction is such a major component of learning. There is actually a curriculum so that our kids learned and were well prepared, if not advanced, when they (at least our first child) started kindergarten (baby is only 19 months old). The people are wonderful and we feel they are family.

I wanted to make the school aware of our religious holidays and the teachers were so welcoming and embraced the idea of inclusivity that warmed my heart.   • My kid has been to 2 daycares before Goddard school. Goddard school is nothing like them. Teachers are great and loving. Classes are clean and playground is safe. My kid started to talk more after joining Goddard school and his imagination and critical thinking also developed.

KEYSTONE STARS

Pennsylvania’s Keystone STARS program is an initiative of the Office of Child Development and Early Learning (OCDEL) to improve, support and recognize the continuous quality improvement efforts of early learning programs. The Keystone STARS Performance Standards provide the foundation for the program and are grouped into four levels – Standards, Training, Assistance, Resources and Support. Each level builds on the previous level and utilizes research-based best practices to promote quality early learning environments and positive child outcomes.

NATIONAL EARLY CHILDHOOD PROGRAM ACCREDITATION

The NECPA accreditation program has been carefully crafted to create broad public understanding of the benefits of high quality early childhood care and education. Coupled with this increased understanding is a raised awareness of the professional expertise required to deliver that high quality care and an appreciation of the advantages that children receive from accredited centers and schools.

PENNSYLVANIA DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION

The PA DOE considers the education of its children to be among the highest priorities of state government and has dedicated many resources toward that end. Educators who are PA DOE certified prepare for their responsibilities in the schools of the Commonwealth through the completion of a State Approved Teacher Education program (includes student teaching or field experience), The Pre Service Academic Performance Assessment (PAPA) in Reading, Writing and Mathematics, and completing application materials documenting that all certification requirements have been met.

PACCA'S 2014 EDUCATOR OF THE YEAR

The Educator of the Year Award is presented to the child care teacher or teacher's aide that sets an excellent example for other caregivers to follow. Individuals are nominated by colleagues and parents of children in their care. Recipients are selected by the Award Committee comprised of PACCA members.
