    The Goddard School of Manhattan has locations on both the Upper West Side and Upper East Side. We are a school, not a daycare center. We are committed to providing the highest level of stimulating development and warm nurturant care for Infants, and an age-appropriate curriculum for One Year-Olds and up in our Toddler, Preschool, and Pre-Kindergarten classrooms. Our schools are state-of-the-art facilities with many large sun-filled rooms. Our degreed teachers utilize our unique curriculum to teach your child in a fun and loving environment.     Executive Director
    Sandra Sa has a Master's Degree from Teachers College, Columbia University and has NYS Teaching Certification. She started her tenure at The Goddard School in January 2012 as Education Director after working 8 years in leadership in another successful preschool. She has supported the growth of The Goddard Schools over the years, and she heads the Kindergarten Exmissions Program for the schools. Sandra's passion lies in supporting the education of young children while being a resource for families and teachers during this important time in a child's life.

    Olivia

    Education Director
    Olivia holds teaching certifications in both Early Childhood Education (Birth-Grade 2) and Literacy Education (Birth-Grade 6). Olivia believes that literacy and language development are at the heart of a quality Early Childhood Education Program. She has 6 years of experience as an Educational Director of a Community Based Organization with Pre-K and 3K For All Programs. In her role as Educational Director, Olivia oversaw both Department of Education contracted and private childcare programs. Prior to becoming an Educational Director, Olivia served as a Pre-K teacher, as well as an Academic Intervention Services Teacher. She believes that children learn best through developmentally appropriate, play-based activities that consider their unique funds of knowledge. Olivia knows that each child, caregiver, and staff member makes invaluable contributions to the learning community.

    Program Director
    Mark has been working in Early Childhood Education for over 13 years and is passionate about supporting and working with the children, families, and teachers to continue to help their growth and development in their education career. Mark received his Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and Social Work, and shortly after, returned to school and received his Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education. Prior to becoming Program Director, he worked in leadership as Assistant Director, and Curriculum and Operations Director. Before transitioning to administration, Mark taught Preschool and Pre-K for over 8 years and loved working with the age group, families, and the curriculum. He knows and understands the hard work, dedication, and passion put into being an educator, and the rewarding experience that comes with it.

    Program Director
    Alexandra earned her degree in Travel and Hospitality. Previously, she worked as the Office Manager for an Infant/Toddler school in Gramercy Park, where she managed the day to day of the school. She also has seven years’ experience as a dance teacher in the Bronx, where she taught toddlers and preteens. Working in early childhood education has helped her grow as a professional and has allowed her to see life through the eyes of a child. She has a passion for creating a fun environment that children want to come back to and values the importance of building children’s confidence and giving them a community in which they feel safe.

    Administrative Assistant
    Ms. Maritza is the Executive Assistant for the Broadway location. Maritza had been a Lead Teacher in our Infant classrooms since the program opened in 2013. She has a National Child Development Associates. Maritza has extensive experience working with children, and particularly enjoys working with infants. She finds the teaching profession very rewarding. She feels her greatest accomplishment has been helping children to become confident individuals. She especially enjoys helping children to feel safe and loved. Her favorite children’s song is ‘If You’re Happy & You Know It’

    Wendy

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Wendy is an Assistant Teacher in our Get Set program. She comes to Goddard with over 10 years of experience and a certification from the NYS Teacher Certification Examinations Board. Ms. Wendy has two children of her own and loves the hard work of being a teacher. Wendy loves spending time with students, pushing them to future milestones in their lives. Wendy looks forward to the school years and making moments special with each and every student.

    Lead Teacher
    Wendy is a lead teacher in the Toddler program. Wendy is currently attending Bronx Community College to obtain her degree in Early Childhood Education and looks forward to continuing her education. Wendy has been working in the childcare field since 2012. She loves working with children, and this has always been a passion for her. Helping each child achieve their milestones and grow developmentally is the most rewarding part of this career for her.

    Rosemarie

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Rosemarie is an assistant teacher in our Toddler program. She has worked with children for over 20 years in schools and out! She loves to work with young students and see them blossom and grow. She enjoys seeing them gain perspective and understand the world around them. Rosemarie is a mother and loves to teach what she was taught, such as social-emotional development as her grandmother instilled. She loves to play alongside her students.

    Assistant Teacher
    Ms. Katherine is an assistant teacher in our Toddler program. She has her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Hunter College. She has always loved working with children but her experience as a Paraprofessional is where she fell in love with teaching. She has decided to pursue her Masters in Early Childhood Special Education. She enjoys helping children express themselves through art, music, and play.

    Lead Teacher
    Ms. Sely is a Lead Teacher in our Toddler Program. She has earned her Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education, specializing in infants and toddlers, and is currently attending City College for her Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration in Disability Studies. Sely has been working with children since 2018. Education has been a passion of hers since she was a little girl, and she is excited to have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children.

    Samantha

    Music Teacher
    Ms. Samantha graduated from NYU with her Bachelor of Music in 2019, and has been working with children for the past three years in varying capacities, including private piano and voice lessons, group music classes, and childcare. Samantha is passionate about teaching music in group settings because she loves the way music allows children to bond. She believes music is a wonderful way to foster a love of learning and discovery.
