Meet Lisa Lead Teacher- Fireflies (Pre-K Program)
Ms. Lisa was born and raised in Hawaii on the island of Oahu. She obtained her CDA and she has 20 years of experience as a Special Education teacher working with preschool to elementary students.
Lisa teaches because "It is gratifying for me to see children progress mentally, physically, and socially." She enjoys teaching Math, Science experiments, Sight Words, and Reading Fluency. Her students are kind, express their feelings well, have learned important self-help skills, and are ready for Kindergarten both emotionally and academically.
She likes to relax at home or shop at Target in her spare time. Her favorites include Mexican food, Italian food, desserts, chocolate, coffee and the colors black and pink.
Fun Fact: "I am an Amazon shop-a-holic and love to collect Starbucks cups!"

I have had both my kids at the Goddard school since they were 3 months old and would do it all over again if I go back. Goddard is like a second home for us. The owner is beyond amazing! Her exceptional kind heart and sweet personality itself would set them apart from any other daycare. Every member of their staff will treat your kids with respect and love.
Honestly, perhaps one of the best decisions I have ever made for my young family. They treat Benjamin as if he is their own child, and he thrives there. Jyoti, Gia, and the entire staff have always been excellent. Could not recommend them more.
The staff is responsive, patient and so very kind! My child has thrived under the structure and I can tell he is learning a ton...without him even realizing it ;)
We really appreciate how much it seems like the focus is on the kids, and doing the right thing for each child. Our daughter is happy ever single day that we pick her up and never wants to leave her friends at Goddard and the teachers she has interacted with have all been great. We really trust that she is getting the best care possible.
Our family feels comfortable dropping our kids off in the morning knowing they will be loved. If they know they're loved, they're more likely to learn. Also, I like the curriculum that's developmentally appropriate so learning takes place. The teachers and staff we've experienced have been genuinely nice and have a passion for kids. When ever I walk into the room I sense a positive vibe. Lastly, the facility is well maintained, clean, and a welcoming learning environment for kids.

SPREAD THE WORD NEVADA
Spread the Word Nevada (STWN) is dedicated to advancing early childhood literacy by placing books into the hands of children within Southern Nevada's at-risk, low income communities. It fosters reading and language development opportunities ultimately leading to brighter academic and economic futures for these children. It has successfully distributed around $2.6 million books to more than 343,000 kids of Southern Nevada. Jyoti & Gagan Verma are avid supporters of STWN. They conduct regular book drives/donations and support ongoing fund raisers. Gagan has proudly served on the board of STW for more than 5 years and has actively contributed to STWN's strategic growth planning, effective resource management, program/performance management and image enhancement. He is currently leading an effort to incorporate e-book/e-reader technology into STWN's future programs and services.
