Our Goddard School Teachers

We are Sumara and Imran, and our story here started as parents, not owners. For years, while commuting to New York City, we trusted The Goddard School of Clinton with our children, and watched it transform them. In 2019, we built The Goddard School of Long Hill Township in Morris County. In 2022, when the Clinton school's founder retired, we were honored to carry it forward. We live in Clinton. This community is ours too. Now we are bringing that same standard to Somerset County. The schools we lead have earned the Goddard Circle of Excellence three times, including President's Club recognition, placing us among the top-performing Goddard franchises nationwide out of more than 660. Our Long Hill school is NAEYC accredited. We are hands-on owners. You will see us here. We did not build these schools to hand them off — we built them because we believe where a child starts genuinely matters.

I am Shahreen Ahmad, and I will be here every day. My background sits at an unusual intersection: a Bachelor's in Finance, dual Master's degrees in Early Childhood Education and School Building Leadership, and more than a decade leading classrooms and educational programs across six school sites. Before joining the Goddard family, I served as a teacher and Assistant Principal in New York City public schools, where I learned what it actually takes to move outcomes for children in a room, not just on paper. I joined Sumara and Imran as Regional Dean across our Long Hill and Clinton schools, where I have helped build the educational culture behind our Circle of Excellence recognition. Basking Ridge is where I plant my own flag. As on-site owner and head of school, this community is mine to serve. I am a mother of two. I chose this work because I believe the early years are everything, and I built a career proving it.
