Where They Start Matters

At The Goddard School of Jersey City (The Waterfront), we believe that the start of your child's journey matters. At The Goddard School, we offer a Reggio-Emilia inspired, trilingual curriculum where children ages 0-5 learn in an immersive environment with English, Spanish, and Mandarin. Our programs foster creativity, communication, and curiosity in a safe, nurturing space. We’re open 12 months a year, from 7 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and all enrichments—including organic snacks—are included in tuition. With two outdoor playgrounds and a focus on lifelong learning, we’re here to help your child thrive.

Meet Meredith Executive Director

As a new mom and longtime Jersey City resident, Meredith brings both personal insight and over 20 years of educational experience to her role at The Goddard School of Jersey City. She has served as a Principal, Curriculum Director, Academic Coach, and classroom teacher, and has trained educators across schools and universities. Meredith holds dual Master’s degrees in Educational Leadership and Early Childhood/Elementary Education, and is certified as a Reading Specialist and School Supervisor. Passionate about early learning, she is committed to creating a warm, inclusive environment where children feel supported and families feel at home.

Infant

6 w - 12 m

In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.

Toddlers

12 - 24 m

As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.

Twos

2 - 3 yrs

In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.

Bridge

2.5 - 3.5 yrs

As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.

Preschool

3 - 4 yrs

In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.

Pre-K

4 - 5 yrs

As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

The teachers are really loving. The whole team is very supportive. The office will give me a call upon any incidents which made me trust the school very much. The curriculum is well designed and I can tell there’s a whole team behind designing it. I also really love the daily sheet that tells me the schedules for my little one. What’s most helpful is how much veggie/fruit/meat my toddler ate.
