Our Goddard School Teachers

Rey and Kim Maldonado are the new owners of The Goddard School in Bordentown. As local residents with two children, they are deeply committed to providing high-quality childcare to the community. With nearly three years of successful ownership at The Goddard School of Hamilton II, they bring extensive childcare and business experience. Kim has over 20 years in education and childcare, including leadership roles as a director and running her own in-home childcare business. Rey has 20 years of experience in transportation and business management and is now fully dedicated to leading the school’s operations. Together, they aim to create a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment where children thrive physically, socially, emotionally, and intellectually. They are excited to build strong relationships with families and staff to ensure an exceptional learning experience for all students.

My wife and I are honored to be the proud owners of The Goddard School of Bordentown. As parents to our two beautiful children, Alexa and Julian, we understand the importance of providing a safe and nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. I bring over 20 years of experience in the transportation industry, where safety, organization, and accountability were always top priorities. Those values strongly influence my approach as a school owner and guide my commitment to creating a secure, well-run, and supportive environment for our children, families, and staff. Our mission is to provide the highest quality early childhood education by fostering physical development, social and emotional growth, and intellectual curiosity.

My husband, Rey, and I are honored to be the proud owners of The Goddard School of Bordentown. As parents to two beautiful children, Alexa and Julian, we understand firsthand the importance of a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive. I have been in the field of education for over 21 years, including six years as a Childcare Director. I believe that every child has unique gifts to offer the world. It is my passion and privilege to help bring those gifts to light. My mission is to provide the highest quality early childhood education by creating a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for every child. Our focus is on fostering physical development, social and emotional growth, and intellectual curiosity. We believe that early learning should be joyful, meaningful, and tailored to each each child’s needs.

Ms. Alyssa is the Director at Goddard of Bordentown, bringing over eight years of experience in licensed childcare centers. Previously, she served as Director at Goddard’s sister location in Hamilton (Quakerbridge) for three years. Ms. Alyssa holds an Associate of Arts Degree in Early Childhood Education from Rowan College at Burlington County and a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Rowan University. She is passionate about creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children, while fostering a positive team culture and strong relationships with families. The health and safety of both children and staff remain her top priorities.

Mrs. Jessica joined our team at The Goddard School of Bordentown in November 2025. She brings over 9 years of experience in Human Resources and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Ramapo University. Her background has given her a strong passion for supporting people, building positive relationships, and creating environments where both children and staff can thrive. She is a proud mom of two wonderful kids – one who’s in Pre-K at the Goddard Hamilton II School, and another who’s in first grade. As both a parent and a professional, she truly understands how important it is to feel connected and supported in your child’s early learning journey. She is thrilled to be part of this amazing community and looks forward to learning, growing, and sharing in the experiences of each family.

Mrs. Jenn has been a valued member of The Goddard School since 2006 and holds her Child Care Professional (CCP) certification. With over 30 years of experience in childcare, she has served as a lead teacher in Pre-K for the past four years. Mrs. Jenn has been married for 24 years and is a proud mother of five children. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys camping and spending quality time with her two grandsons. Her deep experience and dedication make her an integral part of the Goddard community.

Ms. Nancy has been a dedicated member of the Goddard community since 2020, bringing with her over 40 years of experience working with children. A proud mother of four and grandmother of five, Ms. Nancy's passion for nurturing young minds shines through in all she does. One of her greatest accomplishments is fostering a young boy named Aiden, whom she cared for from the age of six to ten, leaving a lasting impact on his life. Her warmth, experience, and unwavering commitment make her a cherished part of the Goddard family.

Ms. T (T’Yona) joined The Goddard School of Hamilton II in January 2024. and joined us in Bordentown in August 2025. Known for her animated communication and deep connection with children, Ms. T believes in meeting children at their level and seeing the world from their perspective. She is passionate about teaching core values and empowering children with knowledge to make a positive impact on the world. Outside of work, she treasures making memories with her nieces and nephews. Her favorite part of the day is entering the classroom to receive hugs and smiles, ensuring every child leaves with a positive mindset and a beautiful smile.

Ms. Nikki is the Lead Teacher in the Bridge classroom and has been a valued member of The Goddard School since 2019. She brings over 21 years of experience working with children and is passionate about helping each child grow, learn, and explore at their own pace. Ms. Nikki holds her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys reading and crafting. She is a proud mom and grandma of two, and she brings that same love and care into her classroom every day.

Ms. Aja has been part of The Goddard School family since 2005, bringing 19 years of experience working with young children. She graduated from BCIT in 2004 with a degree in Early Childhood Education. As an assistant teacher in the Bridge classroom, Ms. Aja is passionate about creating a warm and engaging environment where children can learn and grow. Outside of school, she enjoys crafting, traveling, and spending quality time with her family. Ms. Aja is also a proud mother to her daughter.

Ms. Tanya has been a valued member of the Goddard family since 2008 and brings over 20 years of experience in the childcare field. She holds her Child Care Professional (CCP) certification and is currently pursuing a degree in Business. A devoted mother of three, Ms. Tanya is passionate about watching children learn, grow, and reach important milestones. Her dedication and love for early childhood development make her an essential part of the Goddard community.

Ms. Myriah joined our Twos classroom team in August 2025. She brings over a year of experience in childcare and is passionate about early childhood education. Ms. Myriah is currently working toward earning her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, playing volleyball, and exploring all things horror!

Ms. Niya joined our Wonderful Twos classroom in November 2025. She has a strong passion for working in early childhood education and brings creativity and enthusiasm into the classroom each day. Ms. Niya is extremely artistic and loves all things arts and crafts. She is currently attending Rutgers University, where she is pursuing a degree in Psychology.

Miss Nisjah is our dedicated Lead Teacher in the Toddler 2 classroom. She graduated from BCIT in 2023 and is currently planning to pursue her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. With a year of experience in childcare, Miss Nisjah joined our team in October 2025 and has been a wonderful addition ever since. She has a passion for creativity and loves drawing and making art, which she joyfully incorporates into her classroom activities to inspire young minds.

Ms. Amanda joined our Toddler classroom in November 2025. She brings many years of experience from in-home babysitting as well as working in her mother’s daycare, where she developed a strong passion for caring for young children. In her free time, Ms. Amanda enjoys spending time outdoors, walking her dog, and being with her family.

Ms. Gabrielle is the Lead Teacher in the Toddler 1 classroom. She has been working with children for the past three years and joined our team in September 2025. She is currently working toward earning her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. She also loves expressing her creativity through painting and drawing, and she’s an avid reader.

Mrs. Jessika is the Lead Teacher in the Infant classroom at The Goddard School, where she has worked for nearly 20 years. She holds her Child Care Professional Certification. She provides a safe and supportive learning environment. Married with one daughter, Jessika is passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and explore the world around them.

Ms. Melissa joined our school family in January 2024 and has been a wonderful part of our team ever since. She loves working with children of all age groups and brings patience, creativity, and care to everything she does. Ms. Melissa graduated from Berkeley College with a degree in E-Business. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys spending time with her two dogs, eighteen ducks, and her husband. Her love for animals and nurturing nature shine through in her work with our youngest learners every day.

Ms. Amanda is an Assistant Teacher in our Infant Room and has been a valued member of our team since 2021. She brings over 21 years of experience working with children and is also a proud mother to a daughter of her own. Ms. Amanda is incredibly sweet and brings a calm, gentle, and grounding presence to the Infant Room, helping our youngest learners feel safe and nurtured each day.

Ms. Suzanna joined our Infant Room in November 2025. She is currently in her first year of college, studying Elementary Education, with hopes of teaching school-age children in the future. Her love for teaching grows every day, and she truly adores coming to work to spend time with and care for the babies. Ms. Suzanna brings enthusiasm, warmth, and a genuine passion for learning to our Infant Room.

Ms. Marlene joined the joined our Goddard team at the beginning of 2025 as one of our amazing Resource Teachers. She graduated from New Egypt high school from and is currently attending RCBC, where she is studying to become an ultrasound technician. In her free time, Ms. Marlene loves to bake, hike, and spend time with her two dogs and two cats.

Ms. Peyton joined our Goddard team in November 2025 as one of our amazing Resource Teachers. She graduated from Northern Burlington High School in 2025 and is currently pursuing her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education. In her free time, Ms. Peyton enjoys going to the gym, spending time with friends, and taking her dog, Arlo, on long walks.
