Our Goddard School Teachers

My name is Trevor Seiter, and I am the on-site owner of The Goddard School of Canton. My wife and I also own another Goddard School, where our daughter, Kylie, attends. Our son, Nolan, is now in elementary school and looks forward to returning to Goddard each summer for camp. Seeing the positive impact early childhood education has had on our own family inspires me every day. Before joining Goddard, I worked as a CPA. I chose early childhood education because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children and families. My goal is to provide a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment where children develop a lifelong love of learning. I am committed to investing in our teachers, programs, and school so every child and family has an exceptional Goddard experience.

With over 20 years of experience working with children, Mrs. Cynthia brings a wealth of knowledge and dedication to role. Holding an Associate’s degree in Childhood Development, she has been a passionate advocate for nurturing young minds and fostering positive growth in educational settings. Outside of her professional life, Mrs. Cynthia enjoys a variety of creative hobbies, including writing, making jewelry, and cooking, which allow her to express her creativity and connect with others. Her experience and personal interests make her a well-rounded and compassionate leader in her field.

Ms. Angela has over 16 years of experience at The Goddard School of Canton and is passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and discover the world around them. She earned her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Eastern Michigan University with endorsements in Early Childhood and Science. She enjoys creating engaging learning experiences that inspire curiosity, creativity, and a love of learning. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Angela enjoys reading, creative art, and exploring fun activities and new places with her family. Her favorite places to visit are the beach and Petoskey, Michigan.

Ms. Jay is passionate about early childhood education and believes children learn best in a nurturing, engaging environment where they feel safe, supported, and encouraged to explore. She earned her Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Washtenaw Community College in 2025 and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education through Western Governors University. She is dedicated to continuous learning and strives to provide meaningful, hands-on experiences that help children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Jay enjoys reading, is a lifelong Disney enthusiast, and loves collecting blind boxes and mystery boxes. She looks forward to partnering with families and creating a classroom filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

Mrs. Samira is a Lead Preschool Teacher who has been working in early childhood education since 2008. She has been a valued member of The Goddard School of Canton for the past two years and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education to continue growing as an educator. As a wife and mother of three, Mrs. Samira understands the importance of creating a nurturing, supportive environment where every child feels safe, valued, and encouraged to learn. She is passionate about helping children build confidence, curiosity, and a lifelong love of learning through engaging, developmentally appropriate experiences. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Samira enjoys spending time with her family, exploring fashion, listening to music, traveling, crafting, and decorating for special events.

Ms. Dierdre is a Lead Teacher with more than 25 years of experience in early childhood education, having worked with children since 1999. She has college coursework in English and Psychology and holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential specializing in toddlers. She is passionate about creating a nurturing, engaging environment where children feel supported as they learn, grow, and reach new milestones. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Dierdre enjoys running, yoga, camping, hiking, photography, reading, watching movies, and spending time outdoors. She is also a devoted animal lover.

Mrs. Neha is a Lead Toddler Teacher with a passion for nurturing young minds and creating a positive, engaging learning environment. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Science (Botany Honors), a Bachelor's degree in Education, and a Master's degree in Science (Botany). She has been working with children professionally since 2005. Mrs. Neha enjoys helping toddlers learn through exploration, play, and meaningful experiences while supporting each child's individual growth and development. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys listening to music, reading, trying new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.

Mrs. Crystal is the Lead Infant Teacher and has about four years of experience caring exclusively for infants, from just a few weeks old through their first year. She is passionate about creating a warm, nurturing, and safe environment where each child feels loved, secure, and supported as they grow and reach important developmental milestones. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Crystal enjoys spending time with her dog, reading, and playing video games and board games.

Ms. Midha has six years of experience in early childhood education, working primarily with infants and toddlers. She is passionate about supporting children during their earliest years of development and loves watching them grow, reach new milestones, and build confidence in a warm, nurturing environment. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Midha enjoys reading and bike riding.

Ms. Nori is a Lead Toddler Teacher with nine years of experience working with children from infancy through preschool. Originally from Puerto Rico, she is bilingual in Spanish and English. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration as well as a bilingual Child Development Associate (CDA) credential specializing in Infants and Toddlers. She is passionate about creating a warm, engaging environment where toddlers feel safe, supported, and encouraged to learn through exploration and play. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Nori enjoys reading, running, and spending time with her two sons.

Ms. Alaa has been working in early childhood education for four years and has over six years of experience working with children. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Education and has had a passion for teaching since she was young. She loves helping children learn, grow, and build confidence in a caring, supportive environment. Ms. Alaa is dedicated to making every child feel valued and enjoys being part of each child's unique learning journey.

Mrs. Stephanie has been dedicated to early childhood education for over 12 years, including the past five years as a valued member of The Goddard School family. She has experience working with children of all ages, from infants through Pre-K, and is currently teaching in the GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) classroom while pursuing her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. Teaching is Mrs. Stephanie's passion. She is committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels loved, supported, and excited to learn. She enjoys helping children build confidence, develop new skills, and reach important milestones as they grow. Mrs. Stephanie looks forward to partnering with families and making this a wonderful year filled with learning, growth, and memorable experiences.

Ms. Ashley is an Assistant Teacher who has been working with children since 2018. She is passionate about creating a caring, supportive environment where children feel encouraged to learn, grow, and build confidence each day. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Ashley enjoys reading and writing. She looks forward to partnering with families and helping create a positive and enriching learning experience for every child.

Ms. Travis is an Assistant Teacher who has been working with children since 2013. She enjoys helping preschoolers learn through play-based experiences that build social, emotional, and school readiness skills while fostering confidence and a love of learning. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Travis enjoys reading, arts and crafts, and finding creative ways to inspire young learners.

Ms. Katy brings a unique background to early childhood education, having owned multiple businesses and spent much of her professional career working in animal hospitals and doggy daycares. As the mother of a child with special needs, she discovered her true passion is working with children and helping them build confidence as they prepare for the transition to grade school. She enjoys creating a fun, supportive environment where children can learn, grow, and develop new skills each day. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Katy enjoys advocating for children on the autism spectrum, trying new restaurants, spending time with family during game nights, and all things cute.

Ms. Shaniah is excited to be part of your child's early learning journey as an Assistant Infant Teacher. With over seven years of experience in early childhood education and a degree in Child Development, she is dedicated to creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where every infant can thrive. She enjoys supporting each child's early development and celebrating the special milestones that make the first year so exciting—from rolling over and crawling to taking those first unforgettable steps. Ms. Shaniah looks forward to partnering with families to provide a caring, engaging, and joyful start to each child's learning journey.

Ms. Rosa has 14 years of experience in early childhood education and is passionate about helping young children learn, grow, and thrive. She enjoys creating a caring, supportive environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged as they reach new milestones and celebrate accomplishments both big and small. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Rosa enjoys traveling and spending quality time with her family. She looks forward to partnering with families and creating a positive, nurturing environment where every child can flourish.

Ms. Hawraa is an Assistant Teacher in Pre-K who earned her Child Development Associate (CDA) credential in 2022. She is passionate about creating a safe, positive, and engaging environment where every child feels valued and encouraged. She loves helping children learn, grow, and build confidence while supporting their social and emotional development. Ms. Hawraa enjoys incorporating music and singing into the classroom to make learning fun, interactive, and meaningful. She is dedicated to working closely with teachers and families to help every child reach their full potential.

Ms. Abbie has been working with children for the past three years, including two years at a swim school. Growing up with a mom and sister who are both teachers inspired her interest in early childhood education, and she quickly discovered that her true passion is helping young children learn and grow. She enjoys building positive relationships with each child and creating a caring, engaging environment where they feel confident and supported.

Ms. Kailee has been working with children since 2024 and is currently pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education at Henry Ford College. She discovered that caring for and teaching young children is her true passion and loves helping them learn, grow, and reach new milestones. She is dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing environment where every child feels safe, supported, and encouraged to explore the world around them.

Ms. Kayana has been working in early childhood education since 2023 and brings a background in ABA therapy to her role. She is passionate about helping children learn, grow, and build confidence while creating a caring, supportive environment where every child can thrive. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Kayana is excited to be welcoming her first child, an experience that is making her passion for caring for young children even more meaningful.

Ms. Dede has been working with children for the past four years and discovered that her true passion is helping young learners grow and thrive. She holds undergraduate and master's degrees in Business Administration with a focus on Advertising and Marketing and is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Special Education. She loves being part of each child's learning and development journey and is dedicated to creating a caring, supportive environment where every child feels encouraged to explore, learn, and build confidence. Ms. Dede looks forward to partnering with families and helping every child reach their full potential.

Ms. Madelynn is an Assistant Teacher who is passionate about helping children learn and grow. She is currently studying Elementary Education at Michigan State University and is pursuing a PreK–3rd Grade/ESL endorsement. She enjoys creating a positive, engaging classroom where children feel supported as they build confidence and develop new skills each day. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Madelynn enjoys reading and watching movies.

Ms. Nelida is a mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother with nearly four decades of experience in early childhood education. She spent 39 years with Detroit Public Schools, serving as a Teacher Aide and Associate Teacher in the district's preschool program. She also holds a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential. After retiring, Ms. Nelida realized how much she missed working with young children and joined The Goddard School because of her love for building meaningful relationships with children and helping them learn and grow. She believes that working in early childhood education is more than a job—it's something you have to truly love.

Ms. Rylee is an Assistant Teacher who has always enjoyed working with children and is passionate about helping them learn and grow. She loves creating a caring, supportive environment where every child feels encouraged to explore, build confidence, and have fun. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Rylee enjoys crocheting and spending time with her two dogs.
