Our Teachers

On site Owner- Ms. Tana holds a Bachelor of Science from SDSU. She and her husband, Monish, are the parents of two young children. Both are being guided by professional teachers here at the Goddard School, as well as at another Goddard School close by, prior to our school being completed. Starting our own family is what brought us to a Goddard School as parents. A love for family and raising our two children brought us to the journey of opening our own Goddard School. As parents, we love the lifelong love of learning that is being instilled into our children, in a safe, nurturing and fun environment. We also love being able to provide this to other families as well.

Ms. Sherita is our Center Director. She has her degree in Early Childhood Education as well her degree in Business Administration. Ms. Sherita has several years of working in early childhood and in management. She is from Ft. Wayne but moved to Indianapolis in 2010. Ms. Sherita has three children of her own. In her free time, Ms. Sherita enjoys shopping, traveling and relaxing.

My name is Nikayla and I'm the lead teacher in the Meerkat classroom. I have my high school diploma and a CDA certificate. I have many years of experience in childcare and shared two of them with Goddard. I love working with infants! My favorite part about working with them is providing a safe space and making a difference in their life! Watching all of my kids grow and learn while getting to be a part of their first milestone, and knowing that I played a role in those, reminds me why I became a teacher. In my free time, I enjoy shopping and spending time with my son, family, and friends!

Tiffany is the Lead Teacher in our Zebras First Steps room! She has an Child Development Associate's Degree. She has 9 years in early childhood. She currently lives in Fishers, and she enjoys shopping, movies, road trips, and Bible literature in her free time! Her favorite thing about working with children is "getting messy with water and paint, story time, and seeing them happy!"

Unique is the lead teacher in our young toddler room! She has a High School Diploma, and has over 10 years experience in early childhood. She currently lives in Indianapolis, and she enjoys volunteering at Indy Humane Society her free time! Her favorite thing about working with children is "watching them develop and helping them meet their goals!"

Miss Patricia has been working in early childhood for almost 5 years! she enjoys spending time with her puppy and family, and baking. Patricia loves watching children in her class grow as they learn new things. They're so funny and spread so much love. Patricia has been working hard in school and will be finished with her Child Development Associate's degree in the fall.

Hi my name is Melodie and I am the assistant in the Dolphin classroom. I have over a year of experience working with children in early childhood education and am looking forward to gaining even more experience here at Goddard! I love working with kids because of the joy that they give me. I love being able to help them grow and learn new things. Outside of school, i enjoy reading, macramé, and bowling!

Miss ShaMonte had five years of experience before joining our team in the spring of 2022. ShaMonte just recently graduated with her Child Development Associates and has stepped up to become the lead teacher in our Cheetah preschool classroom. Her favorite thing about working is seeing their creative side shine through!

Mr. Todd came to us with 15 years of experience working in education and now works in our Prek Cheetah classroom! In his free time, Todd enjoys going horseback riding, collecting comic books, and watching his favorite sports team - The Colts! Mr. Todd's favorite thing about working with children is watching them grow in their education and being a role model for them.

Aaliyah is the Lead Teacher in our Tigers PreK room! She has an Associates' Degree in Elementary Education. She has 14 years in early childhood including teaching at a Preparatory Academy. She currently lives in Indianapolis, and she enjoys collecting Stranger Things memorabilia in her free time. She also loves reading and watching TV! Her favorite thing about working with children is "cuddling them and watching them learn!"

Shelby is the school Chef Manager! She has a Culinary Arts Degree Diploma, and has over 10 years experience in the culinary field. She currently lives in Indianapolis, and she enjoys running and reading and shopping online in her free time. Her favorite thing about working with children is how "unpredictable and silly they can be!"

My name is Miss Lakesha (or Miss G) and I am a floater at the Goddard school. I have been working in education for 8 years but previously worked with pre-k - 9th grade. I am very passionate about my work and i'm not afraid to get on the floor with the kids and play with them! The best part about working in early childhood is knowing that I can be a positive influence and impact them for years to come

My name is Miss Shemmell (or Miss Mell). I previously worked in the Giraffe classroom and now work as a floater across all of the classrooms. I have years of experience working in early childhood education and loved every second of it. I love seeing the children in my class(es) learn and grow. In my free time, I enjoy painting, reading, and writing.

My name is Haleigh and I am the teacher in the Bears classroom! I have been teaching for over a year now and i'm currently working on obtaining my CDA. In my free time, I love painting and going outside. My favorite children's book is How Do Dinosaurs Say Goodnight by Jane Yolen.

Kayla is currently the lead teacher in our Giraffe, preschool, classroom! She has a Associate's Degree in Elementary Education, is currently working on her Bachelors, and has 2.5 years in early education. She currently lives in Indianapolis, and she enjoys dancing and playing volleyball in her free time. She also loves going shopping, Netflix, eating, and spending time with her family! Her favorite thing about working with children is "seeing them grow!"
