Meet Slava Owner
As a Goddard owner and parent, Slava feels a true connection to Goddard’s philosophy of fostering a love of learning in children while providing a fun, safe and nurturing environment for them to grow. He is proud to provide this exceptional learning experience for more children and families in the Hawthorn Woods community.
Slava has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Western Michigan University, and a Master of Science in Accountancy from DePaul University. Previously, he has been working as an accountant for the past 10 years.

From infants and toddlers to pre-K, kindergarten and beyond, our classrooms are designed specifically with your little one’s needs in mind.
Infant
6 w - 12 m
In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.
Toddlers
12 - 24 m
As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.
Twos
2 - 3 yrs
In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.
Bridge
2.5 - 3.5 yrs
As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.
Preschool
3 - 4 yrs
In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.
Pre-K
4 - 5 yrs
As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

What Our Goddard Village Is Saying
Teachers are wonderful, the curriculum is appropriate for the child’s age and abilities and the fact that my 19 month old has fun and looks forward to going is really all I can ask for as a parent!
Love the constant pictures and communication throughout the day. Safety is amazing! And the teachers and staff have been incredible.
My child is learning so much in Pre-K class! The teacher makes sure the class is working on literacy and math, but she also teaches them how to be good citizens and friends. Most importantly, my child knows that the teachers truly care. The special programming is also great--"ninja class," music, and chess make school even more exciting.
I like how they treat your child as their own and make everyone as comfortable as possible. I also love the amazing activities they do through out the day.
We love The Goddard School in Hawthorn Woods- have had such a great Kindergarten experience during a pandemic. My daughter loves her teacher and staff and has made life long friends! A very comfortable place to be!
I always recommend you guys. My kids are safe, happy and well educated. In the end what else do you want for them?

Many things to like this school the perfect owner who does everything for his employees and hired the best team of teachers that I enjoyed having them as teachers of my both boys. A clean and safe place to keep my kids at. My eldest just moved to KG with an incredible experience that he had at Goddard that he will never forgets. Thank you for everything. Hope my little one will have the same experience as well

CRADLES TO CRAYONS
We work with Cradles to Crayons on their mission to end clothing insecurity for children. The organization collects new and nearly new children’s items which are distributed to children in need, free of charge.
HUMANITARIAN AWARD
The Humanitarian Award honors a School that ‘does well by doing good.’ This award is given to the school that has demonstrated selfless devotion to serving those in need and demonstrates a commitment to community outreach. This award recognizes the life-enriching programs the School has participated in and positive contributions the School has made through community outreach endeavors.

ASSESSMENT TOOL – CPAA
The Children’s Progress Academic Assessment (CPAA) is an early childhood assessment system that assists teachers in making informed and individualized instructional decisions. CPAA grew out of decades of research at Columbia University and has been used by schools, districts and state agencies nationwide.
