Cheryl grew up in Wisconsin and has a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and Religion from Luther College in Iowa. She has worked in the education field since 1982, as a substitute teacher, nanny, early childhood teacher, program director, and center director. Cheryl began working at the Goddard School of Bloomingdale in August 2014 after transferring from the N. Aurora location. She has a passion for children of all ages, but especially loves working with preschoolers because they have such curiosity and joy about learning new things! Cheryl states, “I want to make a positive difference in the lives of the children I teach. I want them to be prepared for school, but also to be good citizens of their little corner of the world.” In addition to teaching, Cheryl is an active volunteer at The Morton Arboretum.
