Meet Kim on-site owner
Ms. Kim is the proud owner of The Goddard School in Monroe, CT, which has been providing NAEYC-accredited early childhood education since 2016 for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years. With nearly nine years of leadership at the Monroe location, she recently expanded by opening a second center in Shelton, CT. A mother and stepmother to two sets of twins, Kim has always had a passion for working with children. She studied Elementary Education at Florida Atlantic University and previously managed small businesses before finding her calling in early education. Kim also serves as an elected representative on the Goddard Systems Advisory Council for the Northeast region, helping shape the future of early childhood education across the franchise. She is committed to providing families with a strong foundation for lifelong learning and takes pride in seeing children thrive. Kim believes that quality early education sets the stage for future success.

Infant
6 w - 12 m
In the Infant program, our teachers provide your baby with all the cuddles and care they need with opportunities to begin exploring the world around them.
Toddlers
12 - 24 m
As your little one rapidly develops physically and cognitively, our Toddler classroom is where their natural curiosity is fostered and their budding skills are nurtured.
Twos
2 - 3 yrs
In the Twos classroom, experienced, caring teachers guide your child through playful exploration, helping navigate big emotions while providing hands-on learning experiences that nurture their innate curiosity.
Bridge
2.5 - 3.5 yrs
As your child continues to gain independence, build self-care skills and learn more about themselves, the Bridge classroom provides the support they need to thrive in a preschool setting.
Preschool
3 - 4 yrs
In our Preschool classroom, your child starts their journey into a cooperative learning environment where they can discover interests and learn in a more structured setting.
Pre-K
4 - 5 yrs
As your child prepares for Kindergarten, our Pre-K classroom offers exciting opportunities to develop important skills, make new friends and explore the world around them.

I've been with Goddard Monroe for almost 9 years and I cannot say enough great things about it. The staff is amazing and so caring. In almost a decade I have had zero issues.
The constant communication from the teachers throughout the day with the pictures are really great and helpful. Hayley is also learning a lot and it shows when she is home with us. All the teachers seem so wonderful and extremely helpful
10/10 would recommend Goddard of Monroe to friend or family. The staff has made us feel so as ease with sending our daughter to day care, the teachers go above and beyond. Our daughter has so much fun and feels so safe in their care
The entire staff is "grade A", not just in friendly attitude but also in their proactive interactions with the children. I have great faith (justified by experience thus far) that they will approach my child in ways that are specific to and effective for her - and that if there is anything notable or even concerning to spot, they will spot it and share it. Combined with the particulars of the general Goddard program, this is all any parent could hope (not just ask) for!
Goddard school of Monroe was on our minds for a couple years, we finally switched our youngest in October 2023, and it’s been the absolutely best decision for not only our daughter but family. The facility is beautifully designed and clean. The faculty and staff all around has been to welcoming and friendly and my daughter has learned SOOOO much in the time she has been there and I’m forever grateful that she we were able to make this transition for her and she is just as happy as we are.
We love Goddard! The teachers are so wonderful and we really feel our daughter has well thought out days and tons of interaction
I know my son is supported mentally, emotionally, and physically at this school. There is excellent communication with the parents about development. Most of all my son loves it here.
The teachers and the administrators all really seem to care about the students. Everyone knows my son’s name and he feels extremely comfortable and happy there. I am so glad we chose Goddard Monroe!
