I am Ms. Christine and I’m so happy to be a teacher here at Goddard. I have been working in the childcare field for about 15 years and I’m still going strong. I have worked with many different age groups but settled into preschool. While many find this age group challenging, I find it very fun and fulfilling. My teaching philosophy is to create an environment where learning happens through play and active engagement. I’m not just their teacher, I’m also their friend. Around the classroom you can find me singing, dancing, and energetically reading. When I put my teacher hat away, you can find me singing, dancing, and reading. I am a Disney fanatic, obsessed with super heroes, and patiently waiting for my Hogwarts letter. I am finishing up a degree in early childhood education and also starting nursing school. I can’t wait to meet your children so we can actively and enthusiastically investigate the world around us and learn crazy cool new things each and everyday.

 Patty

Patty

Assistant Teacher
I started my career in early childhood development when I was 21. I moved to Connecticut from Nebraska when I was 21. Bored with the cornfields and lack of direction, I made a big decision to move to where (I thought), the action was. I landed in Darien, CT as a nanny to a sweet, yummy, 8 month old Jack. After 2 years, of a one of a kind experience, I decided to venture on my own in this new wonder-world. 5 years later, I met a wonderful man, whom I now have 4 crazy boys with. I currently live in Fairfield, Ct with 4 boys (all very different in personalities,) a wonderful husband (who puts up with a lot from me,) 2 dogs (equally crazy,) 2 cats (1 my sweet pea, and 1 a snob,) and an occasional stray something or other. I love running, working out, reading, walking, and traveling. I love the sweetness and adventure of young children. I love that they are sponges with the desire to learn and explore. I guess that is the reason I find myself continuously back-stepping into the world of the little ones. I am excited about my fresh beginning at Goddard.
