    Owner
    Shannon is thrilled to be the on-site owner of The Goddard School of Castle Rock. She graduated from University of Denver with a double major in Spanish and Communications, and has a background working in marketing and business development. Shannon's passion for the education of young children was inspired by her two young daughters who are so lucky to be enrolled at the school. Shannon feels proud to foster children's learning through The Goddard School framework which combines fun and education to create the most effective environment for developing a lifelong love of learning.

    Executive Director
    Erika is our Executive Director. She has her Large Center Director Licensure from Arapahoe Community College. She has been in the field of Early Childhood Education for nearly 30 years, 20 of which has been with Goddard Schools. She believes wholeheartedly in partnering with parents and providing an enriched learning environment for children, both built on safety and trust. Throughout Erika's career she has worked with children of all ages as a Teacher, Assistant Director, and Large Center Director. Erika also has her CPR/First Aid, Standard Precautions, Medication Administration, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Assistant Director - Education
    Jennifer, our amazing Assistant Director of Education, has her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood-Elementary Education. After graduating, Jennifer moved to Ghana, West Africa to teach 2nd grade at an International School for 4 years. After moving back to Colorado, she taught Pre-K for 2 years and then Kindergarten for 4 years, and then worked with children with severe special needs. In her free time, she loves to travel, have game nights, watch the Broncos, enjoy Colorado’s beauty and spend time with her family and friends. Jennifer's family is the best part of her, she has a wonderful husband, Eric, two daughters, Kenley and Kaydence, and a little boy Isaiah. She has certificates in prevention of shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma, sudden infant death syndrome and safe sleep practices, recognition and recording child abuse and neglect, medication administration, preschool immunizations, standard precautions, CPR and first aid.

    Part Time Assistant Director
    Ms. Donna is our amazing Part Time Assistant Director. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Suffolk County Community College, a Child Day Care Diploma from International Correspondence School, and a Director Certificate for Large Preschool Learning Center from University of the Rockies. Donna has experience teaching children Infants through Pre-K, she has been an Assistant Director of a center, a nanny, and has even owned and operated her own child care center. She worked for us as our Pre-K teacher for several years, and then retired in 2020, but has stayed on as a Substitute Teacher and Backup Assistant Director supporting the Leadership Team through multiple maternity leaves. She is up to date on all Colorado required training such as Child Abuse and Neglect: Identification and Prevention, Standard Precautions, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, etc.

    Part Time Office Manager
    Anna attended Illinois State University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She has experience teaching Pre-K and first grade, and was previously our Assistant Director. Anna currently works part time as our Office Manager. She has her CPR/First Aid, Standard Precautions, Medication Administration, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Child Abuse and Neglect certifications.

    Infant 1 - Infant Nursery Supervisor
    Meet Ms. Mallory! Mallory just move to Colorado from Illinois. She has worked in childcare for 2 years and was a nanny for 7 years before she started her childcare career. Mallory has her BS in Psychology. In Mallory's spare time, she loves to read. She is also very excited to explore Colorado and experience all that it has to offer! She is most excited about experiencing a concert at Red Rocks. Mallory and her husband have a 3 year old daughter, 3 cats and 1 dog. Mallory is CPR and First Aid Certified. She is also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Meet Ms. Alexa! Alexa is our Infant 1 Assistant Teacher. She graduated from high school and is excited to have an opportunity in the Early Childhood Education field. Alexa loves working with children and has had experience babysitting. In her free time, she loves reading, going to the gym, taking her dog for a walk and hanging out with her younger sister. Alexa is close to her family and considers her mom and her sister her best friends! She also says her dad is pretty awesome too! They have 1 dog and 1 cat. Alexa is CPR and First Aid Certified. She is also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Meet Ms. Ray! She is one of our fabulous Infant 2 teachers! Ray is happy to be working at the Goddard School of Castle Rock since the summer of 2021. She previously worked at the Goddard School of Parker where she realized her passion for working with young children, especially babies! In Ray's spare time, she loves to read and paint. She also enjoys taking her dogs to the dog park and doing yard work. Ray loves being in the mountains and taking advantage of all the activities they have to offer. Ray is certified in CPR/First Aid, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    First Steps - Lead teacher
    Meet Amanda! Amanda used to work at The Goddard School and is back as a Lead Teacher in the Infant 2 classroom! She has her Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology and worked as a nanny for 5 years, as well as a Lead Infant Teacher for the past 2 years. During her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family. They love to go to the movies and travel together. They also like to have people over for BBQs. Amanda has been married for 3 years but she has known her husband since high school. She has a 12 year old step daughter and a 2 year old daughter who attends our school! They also have 2 dogs and are very close to their extended family who mostly live in Littleton. Amanda is CPR and First Aid certified. She is also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Meet Ms. Deb! Deb was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She met her husband Chad, the love of her life there and they have been married since 1995! Since then, she has been a Preschool Teacher, Before & After School Assistant Director, and an educator for Young Eco Explorers Summer Youth Camps! Deb loves the outdoors, attending church and growing in her faith and she enjoys walking her two dogs, Nala and Koda Bear. She also has a love of art and spends time in her art room preparing for future art shows. Deb and her husband have twins, Matt and Kaylee and another younger son, Tyler. They are adjusting to life as empty nesters but frequently travel to see their children! Deb is CPR and First Aid certified. She is also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Toddler 1 - Lead Teacher
    Meet Ms. Valeria or Ms. Vee as the children like to call her! She is our awesome Toddler teacher! Ms. Vee is originally from Austin, Texas and recently relocated to Colorado with her husband. Her love for teaching started when she began leading Sunday School at 16 years old. Ms. Vee went to school for Pediatric Physical Therapy but decided to make a change and go down the teaching path. she has been working in child care since 2017. Ms. Vee, her husband and their cat are excited to explore Colorado and all it has to offer! Ms. Vee is CPR and First Aid Certified. She is also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Meet Ms. Bri! Ms. Bri is one of our amazing Toddler 1 teachers. She is kind, caring and very patient. Bri graduated from Daniel C. Oaks High School and has taken early childhood education courses through Colorado Mountain College. Bri has experience being a program leader in Before & After School care for 3 years before she made the switch to being a Preschool Teacher, which she has been doing for the last 4 years. Ms. Bri is excited to continue her teaching career at The Goddard School. Bri loves spending time with her fiance of 7 years and 2 year old corgi. She also loves spending time with friends, working out, reading and working with acrylic paints. Bri is CPR and First Aid Certified. She is also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Toddler 2 - Lead Teacher
    Meet Ms. Cassie! Ms. Cassie is our Toddler 2 teacher. She has taken several college-level Early Childhood Education classes and is in the process of finishing her degree. She had experience working in a Toddler Classroom before coming to The Goddard School in the summer of 2022. She has also worked as a child photographer and a birthday party host. In Cassie's free time, she loves roller skating, longboarding and paddle boarding. She also loves trying new boba tea places. Cassie has a younger sister in high school and lots of pets! She has 2 cats, 1 dog, 2 bunnies, a hamster, frog and 3 fish tanks. Cassie also has a wonderful boyfriend who she hopes to move in with in the next year. Cassie is certified in First Aid, CPR, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Toddler 2 - Assistant Teacher
    Meet Ms. Annabelle! Annabelle had worked for us as a part time Resource Teacher, gaining experience in every age group before graduating and taking a full time Assistant Teacher role in Toddler 2! She realized early on that she wanted to work with children and has started taking courses to earn her Child Development Associate. In her spare time, she loves to read! If she's not reading, she's either watching T.V. or cooking. Annabelle is very close to her family and she loves the bond they all share. They are all a bunch of jokesters too. Annabelle is CPR and First Aid Certified.     Meet Ms. Farhana! Ms. Farhana comes to us with a love for children. She has previously worked in childcare in several different age groups, and is excited to be at The Goddard School. She has her degree in Art and is a phenomenal painter! In her free time she loves reading, writing, biking, hiking, listening to music, dancing and watching TV. Farhana is a wonderful mother to 4 children. Her husband is a loving and caring man. They love to explore. Farhana is CPR and First Aid Certified.     Discovery Preschool - Lead Teacher
    Meet Jessica! Jessica is one of our wonderful Get Set teachers! She started in 2021 as a Resource Teacher, but quickly fell in love with the early Preschool age group where she was promoted to Assistant Teacher, then earned her Lead Teacher certificate. Jessica went on to earn her Child Development Associate, and has been one of our most valuable team members. As the oldest of 5 girls in her family, and with 4 children of her own now, she clearly adores children! In her spare time, she loves to watch movies, work out and go on walks with her family. Jessica has been married to her husband for 10 years and they have 4 children, Andrew, Mathew, Novalie and Jameson. Jessica is certified in CPR/First Aid, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Meet Ms. Lexi! Ms. Lexi grew up in New Mexico and has recently moved to Colorado. She loves to go back to her home town and visit family when she can. Ms. Lexi has spent the last year working with children as a Behavior Therapist and has loved it. She also had lots of experience being the oldest child in her family. Lexi has 2 younger sisters and they are her pride and joy! In Lexi's free time, she enjoys hiking and outdoor activities. She also likes to do crafts and sleep-in when she can! Lexi is CPR and First Aid Certified.     Meet Ms. Amber! Amber has always loved children and has already completed 2 college courses in Early Childhood Education and worked for the last two years in the field. She loved her time as a Lead Teacher for the Base Program at Acres Green Elementary School and additionally worked at Saint Andrews as an Assistant Preschool Teacher before coming to Goddard. In her free time, Amber loves to be outdoors. She likes snowmobiling, boating and fishing. She also enjoys traveling. Amber has 2 siblings and 2 dogs. She is CPR and First Aid Certified.     Meet Ms. Sonia! Ms. Sonia has many years of experience with children, including previous experience leading a Pre-K classroom. She enjoys so many things, but what she loves the most is her family. She has 3 wonderful daughters, 2 amazing grandkids. She has a large extended family that she loves so much. Ms. Sonia likes to sew in her free time. She also loves plants. Sonia is CPR and First Aid Certified.     Get Set & Preschool - Resource Teacher
    Ms. Alyssa is our amazing Infant 1 & Infant 2 Resource Teacher! She has worked at The Goddard School for 2 years in many of the classrooms, but has spent most of her time with the babies. She worked hard to get Lead Qualified and even spent time as a Lead Teacher in our Infant 1 classroom before spending some time going back to school. From a young age, she always made great connections with her teachers. They impacted her life and she has always been inspired to do the same for the next generation. For this reason, we knew Alyssa wouldn't be able to stay away while back in school. Alyssa is certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect. She is also CPR and First Aid certified.

    Ms. Sheryl has been in education for over 26 years! She began her career in Early Childhood Education as a Teacher’s Aide, and then went on to become a Lead Teacher in Pre-K and Head Start for 15 years, and obtained her Masters degree in Educational Leadership. She is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-K Blue classroom. Sheryl is certified to teach ages 0-8 in Colorado, Pre-K to Grade 4 in Texas, as well as her principal certification (in Texas). Sheryl has her CPR/First Aid, Standard Precautions, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Child Abuse and Neglect certifications.

    Meet Ms. Danae! Danae is currently working towards her Elementary Teaching Degree! She is excited to be at The Goddard School as she knows this is a great learning opportunity for her future career! Danae loves taking road trips, especially to the mountains. She also likes to spend quality time with family, friends and her boyfriend. Danae comes from a large family and she really cherishes the time they have together, their traditions and their Hispanic culture!     Ms. Chrissi has been working in Early Childhood Education for 43 years, and is our Pre-Kindergarten Red lead teacher. She holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Chrissi is originally from Illinois. Her and her husband have been married for 42 years and they have two children and three grandchildren. She loves to read and explore all Colorado has to offer. Ms. Chrissi is certified in CPR/First Aid, Standard Precautions, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Meet Mr. AJ! AJ was once our Pre-K Resource Teacher, but after realizing his very obvious talent as an educator, was promoted to Assistant Teacher and then Lead Teacher alongside Ms. Chrissi. Mr. AJ has been working with children for 3 years now as he is an aspiring elementary school teacher. In his spare time, AJ likes to play video games, draw and watch movies. He also likes any and all sports and anime. AJ lives with his girlfriend and two dogs. He is certified in CPR/First Aid, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    Meet Ms. Laramie! Laramie grew up in Elbert, Colorado where she graduated high school. She enjoys singing and traveling. Her family owns a ranch in Elbert, they have a wiener dog named May, horses and cows. She also has a brother and sister. Laramie is CPR and First Aid Certified.     Meet Ms. Nicole! Ms. Nicole is the glue to our school! Previous to working at The Goddard School, Ms. Nicole ran an In-Home Daycare for five years! She loved staying home with her kids while caring for the children who attended her daycare. Her children are older now, and Ms. Nicole has been a valued member of our staff for 6 years! Nicole has her CPR/First Aid, Standard Precautions, Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS) and Use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma and Recognition and Child Abuse and Neglect certifications.

    Meet Ms. Jessi! She is one of our amazing school-wide resource teachers! She was excited to change her career path and start working with children here at The Goddard School. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family, they love to camp and travel together. She loves to ride horses and she also helps her dad with horse riding lessons for children! Jessi has a zoo of pets at home. 3 dogs, a cat, 3 horses, 2 potbelly pigs and a fish.     Meet Ms. Cameron! Cameron is one of our lovely Substitute Teachers! She has 2 years of Education courses from Mizzou. In her free time, Cameron loves building with Legos, knitting, reading, traveling, cooking, baking and eating! She lives here in Castle Rock with her family and their two dogs, Bentley and Murphey. Cameron is CPR and First Aid Certified.     Meet Ms. Wendy! Ms. Wendy is one of our amazing substitutes teachers! Wendy has her B.S. in Metallurgical Engineering & Materials Science. She enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking and walking. She also loves to read and make cards. Wendy and her husband, who is a mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin have two grown daughters Sarah and Kaitlin. Sarah is a teacher here in Colorado and Kaitlin works in a lab testing for infectious diseases.

    Meet Ms. Lorraine! She is loved by both teachers and students! You will often hear the children calling out "Ms. Lorraine! Ms. Lorraine!" as she walks into the school as if she were a movie star! Ms. Lorraine is a New York native but made her way out to colorful Colorado and is enjoying all that Colorado has to offer and started working for us in 2019. She loves yoga and taking her beloved fur babies on walks. She has a heart for children and it shows in all that she does. Ms. Lorraine is a hoot and keeps us all laughing. She is CPR and First Aid Certified. She is also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

    This is Amanda and she is one of our wonderful substitute teachers! She has a Masters Degree in Clinical Counseling, specializing in children and families. Amanda loves to play and watch volleyball, travel, do arts and crafts and spend time outdoors. What she loves the most though, is spending time with her family.
