Our Goddard School Teachers

Shannon is thrilled to be the on-site owner of The Goddard School of Castle Rock. She graduated from University of Denver with a double major in Spanish and Communications, and has a background working in marketing and business development. Shannon's passion for the education of young children was inspired by her two young daughters who were so lucky to be enrolled at the school. Shannon feels proud to foster children's learning through The Goddard School framework which combines fun and education to create the most effective environment for developing a lifelong love of learning.

Jennifer, our amazing Director of Operations, has her Bachelor of Science degree in Early Childhood & Elementary Education. After graduating, Jennifer moved to Ghana, West Africa to teach 2nd grade at an International School for 4 years. After moving back to Colorado, she taught Pre-K for 3 years and Kindergarten for 4 years. In her free time, she loves to travel, have game nights, watch the Broncos, enjoy Colorado’s beauty and spend time with her family and friends. Jennifer's family is the best part of her, she has a wonderful husband, Eric, two daughters, Kenley and Kaydence, and a son, Isaiah. She also enjoys supporting and watching her children play sports...mostly soccer!

Abby is our Director of Education! She has her large center director certificate for Goddard and through Colorado. She graduated from Manchester University in Indiana with a bachelor of science in education and a minor in business. She worked at the Goddard School in Carmel, Indiana as a pre-kindergarten teacher for one year then moved to Colorado and worked at the Goddard School in Denver as a teacher and director for eight and a half years! She has certificates in prevention of shaken baby syndrome and abusive head trauma, sudden infant death syndrome and safe sleep practices, recognition and recording child abuse and neglect, medication administration, preschool immunizations, standard precautions, CPR and first aid.

Ms. Donna is our amazing Part Time Assistant Director. She has an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Suffolk County Community College, a Child Day Care Diploma from International Correspondence School, and a Director Certificate for Large Preschool Learning Center from University of the Rockies. Donna has experience teaching children Infants through Pre-K, she has been an Assistant Director of a center, a nanny, and has even owned and operated her own child care center. She worked for us as our Pre-K teacher for several years, and then retired in 2020, but has stayed on as a Substitute Teacher and Backup Assistant Director supporting the Leadership Team through multiple maternity leaves. She is up to date on all Colorado required training such as Child Abuse and Neglect: Identification and Prevention, Standard Precautions, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, etc.

Meet Sophie! She is our amazing office manager. Sophie has an esthetic license and is currently working towards a transfer degree from ACC. She has also worked in before/after school care with Douglas County School District. In her free time, she loves to be outside and going on long runs. She also loves to cook, bake, read and write. Her and her partner Chad have a son and they love spending time together as a family. They also have two cats named Bugsy and Boo. Sophie is CPR and First Aid Certified and also certified in Prevention of Sudden Infant Death (SIDS), use of Safe Sleep Practices, Prevention of Shaken Baby Syndrome and Abusive Head Trauma, and Recognition and Reporting of Child Abuse and Neglect.

Meet Ms. Alexa! Alexa is our amazing Infant Nursery Supervisor. She graduated from high school and considered it a calling to enter the Early Childhood Education field. Alexa always loved working with children and had experience babysitting, then worked for us as a Resource Teacher which is where she fell in love with working with infants. She relentlessly pursued her Lead Teacher certification, and then eventually her Infant Nursery Supervisor qualification. In her free time, she loves reading, going to the gym, taking her dog for a walk and hanging out with her younger sister. Alexa is close to her family and considers her mom and her sister her best friends! She also says her dad is pretty awesome too! They have 1 dog and 1 cat.

Meet Ms. Cameron! Cameron started at another Goddard School in Denver before transferring to our school in January 2024. She has 2 years of Education courses from Mizzou and absolutely adores babies, so when our Infant Assistant Teacher position came available, Ms. Cameron gladly stepped in! In her free time, Cameron loves building with Legos, knitting, reading, traveling, cooking, baking and eating! She lives here in Castle Rock with her family and their two dogs, Bentley and Murphey.

Meet Ms. Jennifer! Jennifer is the First Steps classroom Lead Teacher. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. She owned an in home daycare from 2004-2013 while her own children were growing up! Jennifer and her husband have 3 daughters (1 set of twins) and they have enjoyed attending their sporting events and watching them grow into successful young ladies. Jennifer and her husband are sports people! In her free time, you may find her reffing a sporting event or cheering on the Broncos!

Meet Ms. Perpetua! Perpetua is our wonderful First Steps Assistant Teacher. Perpetua has her degree in Education and her Teaching License from Nigeria. She has vast experience teaching in her home country and is excited for the opportunity to teach here at The Goddard School. In Perpetua's spare time, she enjoys cooking for her family. She is married and has 2 wonderful children and they love to spend time together. She also likes to read motivational books for self development.

Meet Ms. Katrina! Katrina is one our amazing Infant and First Steps Resource Teacher! She is currently in school working towards her Bachelors in Early Childhood Development. Katrina loves spending time with friends and family, listening to music and going to concerts, and does yoga and other self care practices. Katrina has a sister and 2 brothers and 2 cats, Nala and Pumpkin.

Meet Ms. Kayleen! Ms. Kayleen is one of our wonderful Toddler 1 Teachers! Kayleen took ECE 101, 102, and 103 at Arapahoe Community College. She has been working with children since she was a junior in high school. Kayleen loves to be in the mountains! Her dream is to have a farm one day so that she can have lots of dogs and goats. She also enjoys spending time with her family, 2 cats and dog.

Meet Ms. Cami! Cami is our Assistant Teacher in Toddler 1! She is excited to start a career in Early Childhood Education! She has always wanted to help shape the young hearts and minds of the future. In Ms. Cami's free time, you can find her going on hikes, reading fantasy books, or heading to the mountains for a day full of skiing! Ms. Cami has a very close knit family and they enjoy spending time together. Cami is also very close to her boyfriend of 6 years.

Meet Ms. Sage! Sage graduated high school and went straight into working with children, her passion. After spending time as a Resource Teacher and learning about the Teaching role, Sage quickly obtained her Lead Teacher certificate and was promoted to Assistant Teacher where she honed her skills and became a leader in the classroom. She was promoted to Lead Teacher in 2025. She has two younger siblings, 3 and 7, that she just adores. Sage is very close with her family and considers her mom to be her best friend! She also has a wonderful boyfriend. In Sage's spare time, she enjoys rock climbing, playing the ukulele, guitar and the piano. She also loves art, especially drawing, painting and working with clay.

Meet Ms. Alahni, one of our Toddler 2 lead teachers! Ms. Alahni has worked with children for seven years in the Douglas County School District and the Cherry Creek School District doing before and after care. She has completed all mandatory trainings for the state of Colorado and is CPR and first certified. She loves doing pottery classes, painting, and being outside!

Meet Ms. Swetha! Ms. Swetha has her Master’s in Horticulture (agriculture education)! In her free time, she loves to travel to new places, try new things and of course she loves to garden. Swetha and her husband have one child and they love to spend time together as a family. She is excited to begin her career here at The Goddard School!

Meet Ms. Annabelle! Annabelle started working for us as a part time Resource Teacher, gaining experience in every age group before graduating and taking a full time Assistant Teacher role in Toddler 2! She realized early on that she wanted to work with children and started taking courses to earn her Child Development Associate. Ms. Annabelle is Lead Teacher qualified and earned her promotion to Lead Teacher in 2024. She is now a Lead Teacher in our Discovery Preschool classroom! In her spare time, she loves to read! If she's not reading, she's either watching T.V. or cooking. Annabelle is very close to her family and she loves the bond they all share. They are all a bunch of jokesters too.

Meet Ms. Deb! Deb was born and raised in Iowa and graduated from the University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Arts degree. She met her husband Chad, the love of her life there and they have been married since 1995! Since then, she has been a Preschool Teacher, Before & After School Assistant Director, and an educator for Young Eco Explorers Summer Youth Camps! Deb loves the outdoors, attending church and growing in her faith and she enjoys walking her two dogs, Nala and Koda Bear. She also has a love of art and spends time in her art room preparing for future art shows. Deb and her husband have twins, Matt and Kaylee and another younger son, Tyler. They are adjusting to life as empty nesters but frequently travel to see their children!

Meet Ms. Becca! As one of our outstanding schoolwide Resource Teachers, she was in constant demand in other classrooms because of her bright and positive personality, and her strong work ethic. She has taken on a beautiful role with our students and shown her leadership in so many ways with them, and was recently promoted to Assistant Teacher in the Preschool Classroom. Ms. Becca has taken many Early Childhood Education/Development classes and is thrilled to continue furthering her career and passion for working with children. Becca enjoys watching sports, baking with her children and spending quality time with her family. She and her husband have been married since 2018 and they have 2 wonderful children.

Meet Ms. Jordan! She has previous experience working with children through babysitting and working at Before and After School Care in Douglas County. In Jordan's free time she enjoys reading, writing, drawing, playing video games and making chain mail armor. She is the middle child of her family and has two dogs and two bunnies!

Ms. Sheryl has been in education for over 26 years! She began her career in Early Childhood Education as a Teacher’s Aide, and then went on to become a Lead Teacher in Pre-K and Head Start for 15 years, and obtained her Masters degree in Educational Leadership. She is a Lead Teacher in our Pre-K Blue classroom. Sheryl is certified to teach ages 0-8 in Colorado, Pre-K to Grade 4 in Texas, as well as her principal certification (in Texas).

Meet Ms. Caitlin! Caitlin is one of our Pre-K Blue teachers! She attended the University of Northern Colorado and got her degree in Elementary Education. She has taught 2nd grade, kindergarten and is super excited to teach Pre-K this year! In Caitlin's spare time, she likes spending time with her husband Mihai and they like to go on road trips, hike and explore new places. She also loves to cook and read. Caitlin's favorite sport is hockey and she is a die-hard Colorado Avalanche fan!

Ms. Chrissi has been working in Early Childhood Education for 43 years, and is our Pre-Kindergarten Red lead teacher. She holds an Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education. Ms. Chrissi is originally from Illinois. Her and her husband have been married for 42 years and they have two children and three grandchildren. She loves to read and explore all Colorado has to offer.

Meet Jessica! Jessica is one of our wonderful Pre-K Red teachers! She started in 2021 as a Resource Teacher, but quickly fell in love with the Preschool age group where she was promoted to Assistant Teacher, then earned her Lead Teacher certificate. Jessica went on to earn her Child Development Associate, and has been one of our most valuable team members. Now, she's excited to take on a new age and class as a Pre-K teacher! As the oldest of 5 girls in her family, and with 4 children of her own now, she clearly adores children! In her spare time, she loves to watch movies, work out and go on walks with her family. Jessica has been married to her husband for 10 years and they have 4 children, Andrew, Mathew, Novalie and Jameson.

Meet Ms. Mar! Ms. Mar has spent several years working in before and after care and is so excited to start building relationships with the Goddard students. In her free time, she loves to read, write, listen to music and watch scary movies. She also enjoys shopping and taking naps when it’s raining. Ms. Mar is an animal lover and has a little bunny named Nyx, too!

Meet Ms. Ella! Ella is currently a Senior in high school and works in our Pre-K rooms after she gets out of school every day. She enjoys playing volleyball, paddle boarding, and hanging out with loved ones.

Meet Ms. Nicole! Ms. Nicole is the glue to our school! Previous to working at The Goddard School, Ms. Nicole ran an In-Home Daycare for five years! She loved staying home with her kids while caring for the children who attended her daycare. Her children are older now, and Ms. Nicole has been a valued member of our staff for over 7 years!

Meet Ms. Taylor! She is one of our amazing and reliable substitutes! Taylor attended Louisiana State University for Pre-Med and transferred to Texas Women's University to continue coursework in Pre-PT. She just completed her PT internship and wants to gain more experience working with children to help her with pediatric PT. Taylor comes to our Goddard school after working at a Goddard School in Texas for the last 3 years. Taylor and her husband, who is in the military and their 2 dogs moved to Colorado recently and they are excited to explore Colorado and all it has to offer. Taylor enjoys playing golf, drawing/sketching, painting, traveling, playing games and taking walks.

Meet Ms. Audrey! Audrey is one of our fantastic substitute teachers! She's had experience volunteering in Kindergarten classrooms and is now excited to be a sub for our school and our youngest learners. Audrey likes to draw, paint, listen to music, sing, skateboard, spend time in nature and spend time with friends. She has a wonderful family and they all get along well and support each others growth!

Meet Ms. Coral! Ms. Coral is one of our wonderful and reliable substitutes! She has experience with babysitting and has all the required state trainings. She is currently in school working towards a degree in Early Childhood Education! She enjoys sewing, shopping, and playing with her dogs!

Meet Ms. Wendy! Ms. Wendy is one of our amazing substitutes teachers! Wendy has her Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering & Materials Science. She enjoys outdoor activities like hiking, paddle boarding, kayaking and walking. She also loves to read and make cards. Wendy and her husband, who is a mechanical engineer for Lockheed Martin have two grown daughters Sarah and Kaitlin. Sarah is a teacher here in Colorado and Kaitlin works in a lab testing for infectious diseases.

Meet Ms. Jaeda! Jaeda is one of our substitute teachers. Jaeda is currently in high school and enjoys working at our school when she's not in school. In her free time, she likes to spend time with family and friends and go on walks!
