    Anu

    On-site Owner
    Anu has deep passion and love for furthering education in young children. Her ambition is to make a difference through the S.T.E.A.M. program of Goddard and make the San Clemente location a one-stop children's center. Anu brings to the school her natural love and playfulness with children and a sociable personality combined with proven executive leadership in the computer software industry. Anu and Vikram have raised two wonderful daughters in South Orange County. Travel and education are the family's biggest passions.
  • Ms Lindsay

    Ms Lindsay

    Director
    Lindsay Pitt has been working with children in a Preschool setting since 2009. She holds her Associates Degree in Child Development and is currently working on her Bachelors and California teaching credential for Elementary Education. Born and raised in Maryland, Lindsay worked at her local church preschool and volunteered in the nursery on Sundays. In 2011, Lindsay moved to California and pursued her love for teaching and children. Lindsay brings several years of extraordinary experience, track record and praise from previous Directors. Lindsay has experience in two preschool systems-Montessori and play based programs. She is most excited about play based, hands on programs such as ours, which is why she came on board. Lindsay lives locally with her husband Brian and their daughter Kailey, who is at our School. They love hiking, nature and being outdoors. Lindsay is very excited to be a part of the Goddard team and working closely with families to help reach their educational and developmental goals.
  • Ms Wendy

    Ms Wendy

    Assistant Director
    Wendy received her college degrees in Early Childhood Education, Psychology, Human Development, and Anthropology. She began working in Early Childhood Education in 2013, at Mira Costa College Child Development Center, teaching STEAM learning and language development to infants and toddlers and since, cannot imagine that there is any career out there that she could enjoy more. She enjoys working with children of all ages. Wendy has worked in Reggio Emilia and Waldorf inspired school settings. She enjoys incorporating music, science, multi-language learning, and play into every learning opportunity. Wendy's favorite classroom experiences are hands-on, deeply-explored investigations that drive children of any age to ask the question, “Why?” Wendy considers herself a perpetual student and loves bringing new knowledge that she acquires directly into the classrooms. She could not be happier to have joined the Goddard Team!

    Madison moved to California in the Fall of 2022 due to her husband being in the military. Madison is originally from New York. She is currently a Senior in college and will be receiving her Bachelor's degree in Behavioral Science and Education in the Fall of 2023. She has worked with children for the past three years. She loves to watch the children grow and develop and become their own individuals. Madison's favorite part of being in a classroom setting is experiencing all of the different personalities of the children. She is so excited to be a part of the Goddard team.

    Nancy has worked in early childhood education for eight years, during which she has continued to take classes to further her education. Nancy loves children of all ages, but has a special talent with some of our youngest learners! She is very creative and loves to spend time crafting and making special projects. Nancy is also bilingual which she love to incorporate Spanish into her classroom. Not only is Nancy a teacher at our school she also enjoys bringing her 18-month old son here as well, he attends our Pre-Toddler class. She is so excited to be part of the Goddard team!

    Ms Jocelyn

    First Steps
    Jocelyn has joined The Goddard School as a teacher in the First Steps classroom. She loves working with children of all ages, but has found a special joy working with the little ones. She loves watching them grow and learning to reach their full potential. She strives to ensure children’s development at different stages, overall growth, and to see them accomplish their milestones. It is very important to her that children can come to a safe environment where their families always feel welcomed and engaged in their children's learning and care.

    Assistant Teacher
    Wendy is the mother of two sweet children, Leilani and Rayli. She and her family love to have picnics, go bowling, and spend time at the beach. Some fun hobbies that Wendy enjoys are making art with her children at the park and to hand-knit blankets. She loves to watch anime and go dancing with her fiance. She loves to travel to unique places and visit museums with her family. She also loves working at Goddard! Wendy is glad for the opportunity to work with children and infants. It makes her so happy to witness children taking their first steps, learning to speak full sentences, and becoming older siblings. She is excited to teach every child new things. Wendy is also taking online classes to further her education.

    Teacher
    Bertha has been working in the field of early childhood education for more than twenty-five years. She has two adult children and two handsome grandsons, ages fourteen and four. Teaching has always been her passion. She received her education in Human Development from Saddleback College and has loved working with young children, teaching them patience, love, and independence, and treating and caring for each child as if they were her own.
  • Ms Angela

    Ms Angela

    Teacher
    Angela has been teaching for four years. Since early in her life, she knew she wanted to be a teacher. She loves helping others and enjoys teaching children of all ages. She earned her education at Saddleback College and Irvine Valley College. She is happy to call the Goddard School her home and looks forward to helping promote quality education, compassion, and healthy relationships in the classroom. When she is not teaching, she helps her community by volunteering to babysit for a non-profit organization that hosts parenting classes for an under-resourced community. She loves nature and the beach and participates in her neighborhood’s monthly community clean up. She lives by the Bob Talbert quote, “Teaching kids to count is fine, but teaching them what counts is best.”

    Ms Maelynn

    Preschool
    Maelynn moved down from Portland, Oregon in late 2022 to enjoy the sunny oceanview life of San Clemente. She has been actively working with children for ten years, starting as a kids' soccer referee. She loves to do art with the children, along with any sort of "silly" activity.
  • Ms Alexandra

    Ms Alexandra

    Preschool
    Ali is a lover of all things country and dog related. She is a third generation teacher- Grandpa (teacher and Principal), Aunt (teacher), and now Ali. She played softball and golf while getting her Bachelors degree in Psychology and Counseling, with a minor in Biblical Studies from Hope International University. She is currently in her Master's program at University of Phoenix, pursuing Elementary Education and will be finished with classes July 2023. Ali loves her students and finds happiness knowing that they come to school in a safe, fun, and educational environment. The military brought Ali and her husband, Matt, to San Clemente with their two dogs, Elli and Chubb. She loves to walk the beach trails with her family, go line dancing, and go to Havasu. She is beyond happy to be a teacher here at Goddard School San Clemente and guide students through their educational successes.

    Pre-Kinder
    Ms. Mary is thrilled to be teaching Pre-K here at Goddard! She has been teaching Pre-K, TK, and Kindergarten for twenty-one years. Her mission as a teacher is to develop the whole child and to work with children at their learning levels, as every child is unique and has his or her own learning style. Providing a nurturing, developmentally appropriate, hands-on, engaging learning environment helps her to ensure that each child becomes a happy, confident, successful learner. This is what feeds her passion and desire to teach! Mary has been married to her husband, Dennis, for forty years! Dennis was transferred from Denver to San Diego in 2009 and they have been living in Old Carlsbad ever since. They are avid walkers and love being close to the beach, as they spend much of their time walking and eating there. They have two children- a son, Matt, who lives in Carlsbad, and a daughter, Jessie, who lives in Los Angeles.

    Gwyn is a California native with a lifelong love of music, nature, and education. She wanted to become an educator at a very early age, and after a long career in the mortgage industry, decided it was time to fulfill her dream. She has been thrilled to have taught preschool through school-aged students since 2021, and to have recently joined the team at Goddard School San Clemente. It is important to Gwyn to fulfill her mission to be a great teacher by creating a safe, happy, and fun learning environment for our little ones. She finds so much joy in watching each child learn and grow with new knowledge and skills! Gwyn is a graduate from Park University, with a Bachelor's of Science in Management. She loves to cook and eat, go to concerts, garden, hunt treasures at thrift stores, travel, and enjoy time with friends and her fish and frog babies. She is thrilled to be here and to be contributing to our special ones' education and happiness.

    Sepideh

    Assistant Teacher
    Sepideh is a mother of one son, who is nine years old. She loves her family and her job. Every day, she wakes up full of love to visit with children. Knowing that young children are spending long days away from their parents and need a lot of love and care, she is ready to provide that for them. Sepideh believes that children have big hearts and many emotions, but never hate, and this is beautiful. Sepideh's hobbies are spending time with her family, reading books, watching movies with her family, going into nature to relax, going to the mall with her sister, going to restaurants, and partying and dancing. Her favorite thigs include pastels, Persian and Italian food, Spring and Fall, Starbox, El Pollo Loco, New York City, and all children.
