Mrs Lorri, Owner Lorri has been the owner of The Goddard School since 2010. She is the proud mother of three children. As such, she recognizes the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment. She holds a BBA from Georgia Southern University. Prior to owning The Goddard School, she worked in Family Services. As the on-site owner with a human services background, she is committed to providing the highest quality preschool experience for the children in this community.

Lorri and her family enjoy spending time together - playing board games, biking, fishing, swimming and going to the beach. Family is the basis for why she chose Goddard and is happy to be able to provide Goddard’s outstanding program to the children in the Tampa community. Katie and her husband Calum moved to the Tampa area from Chicago in 2016 and enjoy the sunny days! She has over 8 years of Early Childhood Education experience and loves being an integral part of children's growth and development. She graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Anthropology. She was a Preschool Teacher for more than 6 years before moving into administration within the Early Childhood Education field. Katie enjoys coaching, mentoring, and encouraging teachers to bring out the investigative explorer within each child. She is excited to provide meaningful, hands-on learning and the very best high-quality education for children and families.

Sandy has been an active professional in the field of Early Childhood Education for well over 25 years. She has served on various Tampa Bay ECE boards, acted as director for non-profit preschools and child development centers, and has been with The Goddard School since 2016. The mother of two adult sons, Ms. Sandy is passionate about developing strong school-to-home relationships, emergent best practices, outdoor learning, and mentoring our next generation of ECE teachers. She believes a child's most important work is play and strives to create an environment where children can do so.

Ms. Sydney loves working with young toddlers because the world is so new to them and their wonder is contagious! She is currently working to obtain her CDA and is truly looking forward to a lifelong career in the Early Childhood Education field. Sydney believes each child is unique and she loves that she gets to be a part of their learning journey. In her spare time, Sydney enjoys spending time with my family, friends, and her wonderful dog!

Ms. Lindsay has snuggled, loved, and educated TGS toddlers for many years. She is a sure and loving caregiver for our students. An ultimate educator, she encourages toddler discovery in a safe and loving environment. As a mother herself to two children, she understands the critical importance of Attachment Theory in young children. She is a wonderful resource for both parents and fellow teachers. In her off time, she enjoys adventures with her two children and traveling.

Ms. Melissa was born and raised in Virginia and just recently moved to Florida in March to be closer to my family. She is the proud mother of one son, and Grammie of one granddaughter. Melissa first stepped into the Early Childhood Education field when she was in high school and it was then that she decided she wanted to make a difference in the lives of children and provide them with a classroom they can feel safe in. Now, over 29 years later, Melissa is still providing that safe classroom and enjoying every minute of it. For the last 14 years, she has been a lead teacher in the Infant Room at The Goddard School in Chantilly, VA. She believes that learning should be student-centered, interactive, and engaging. Children learn through their play and the classroom should create a family of learners as the children all work together and learn in their unique style.

Ms. Myranda has spent the last 6 years working in the early childhood education field. She has been an integral part of children’s learning and enjoys seeing the world through the eyes of a child. Myranda has her CDA, first aid and CPR certification, and is working towards her Florida Director’s Credential. She has worked in and out of a classroom, from being a lead teacher to being an assistant director.

An experienced and seasoned teacher, Ms. Angie understands what Early Childhood Education is all about. As a beloved teacher to many of our students, even our alumni stop by simply to give Ms. Angie a hug and visit. Her solid focus on phonemic awareness, imaginative play opportunities, and pre-reading skills build a strong foundation for school readiness. She is a strong and communicative partner in the classroom. She enjoys art, photography, and cooking gourmet meals.

Ms. Chelsea recently moved to the Tampa area from New York where she studied theater and worked as a teacher for more than six years. While obtaining her degree, Chelsea created her own theater curriculum for young children. She enjoys putting on shows, storytelling and teaching movement to express emotions through the play. Chelsea comes from a family of teachers and believes that early childhood educators should be nurturing, loving, caring, and should make each child feel safe and free to explore their own gifts.

Casey has more than 10 years of experience in Early Childhood Education. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education from Hood College in Maryland. Casey's passions are caring for and teaching children, music, dance, and sports. She loves to integrate music and dance into the children’s daily routines, and she recognizes the importance of movement in child development and academic success. Casey is the proud mom of two young children and recently moved to the Tampa area from Annapolis Maryland, where she was born and raised.

Ms. Erica was was born and raised in Tampa, FL where she is currently a student at St. Petersburg College. She is studying Early Childhood Education to obtain her Associates in Science degree. She has always had a passion to be a teacher since she was little. Her teaching philosophy is that all children should be welcomed into a warm, safe and loving environment. She knows this will help each child express their individual learning styles and for her to help each one grow in all areas of life. She is a big fan of advocating for inclusion for children with special needs because she is a mother to an awesome girl who has autism. In her spare time, she enjoys escape rooms, reading and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Ms. Susan was born in Pinellas County, Florida, where she lived for most of her life. She moved to Tennessee to further her education and raise her three children. She is happy to have returned to the Sunshine State to be closer to family. Ms. Susan earned her Master’s degree in Early Childhood Education from Milligan College. She has worked with children within different fields; she’s helped in the education system, aided children in Head Start classrooms, and has supported children and families in the foster care system. Ms. Susan believes her first responsibility with children is to help them feel safe and accepted for who they are because each child is unique and special. By providing a safe and creative environment, children are able to learn through natural exploration. Giving children opportunities to explore new, engaging, and real-life topics builds towards the mastery of skills and comprehension.

Ms. Elizabeth was born and raised in Iowa and is the oldest of five children. She moved to Tampa with her husband in 2015. She obtained her Associate in Arts degree in 2004 from Muscatine Community College in Iowa. She earned her CDA in May 2018 and went on to earn her Director's Credential from Pinellas Technical College. She has worked in the Human Services/Early Education field for over ten years. Ms. Elizabeth’s past work experiences have included working with children and adults with Autism, Angleman Syndrome, Down Syndrome, and Cerebral Palsy. She has taught parenting techniques using the Nurturing Program to families involved with the Department of Human Services. She was part of the enrollment and recruitment team for a Head Start Program and scheduled preschool testing for early intervention. Ms. Elizabeth has also taught VPK! Early childhood education has always been her focus; as a teacher of early childhood education, Ms. Elizabeth understands the impact she has shaping and setting the tone for each child's educational career and beyond.

Ms. Tami earned her Bachelor's of Science Degree in Early Childhood and Special Education. She graduated from Brigham Young University-Idaho in Rexburg, ID. While in school, Ms. Tami had the opportunity to work with children of different ages and different ranges of ability. Working with children has been a great blessing for her because she is able to help them start to build a foundation of learning. Currently, she holds a National Director's Credential.
Her love of working with young children comes from her mother who taught her to love and teach each child as an individual. Working with children and helping them learn and grow has always been Ms. Tami’s dream.
She believes children need to have opportunities to be able to explore and figure out how the world works on their own. Ms. Tami knows that when you give them these opportunities, you are helping them learn that they can be independent even if they ask for help. She also believes that loving the students and treating them with respect is KEY to a successful classroom.

Raised in England, Mrs. Carolyn moved to the United States in 1997. She is the mother of adult children and has a grandchild. She enriches our program with her consistency and experience, as well as her desire to help. She is a helper of helpers. Mrs. Carolyn celebrates each child's uniqueness and growth, along with our faculty and families.

Ms. Jennifer was born in Iowa and has lived in Georgia, Texas and Florida. While living in Texas, she worked for The Goddard School in Round Rock for three and a half years.
Ms. Jennifer earned her Bachelor's in Social Science with a concentration in Education. She completed her Master's in Education with a concentration in English Language Learners in 2010.
Her teaching philosophy is to teach to the individual child by getting to know what interests them. Ms. Jennifer likes to use multi-sensory techniques to teach to the different learning styles of the children in her class.

Originally from Puerto Rico, Ms. Awilda is a fan favorite amongst TGS students and parents. She shares her love of singing and fingerplays with the youngest of audiences, exposing our students to multiple languages in doing so. Her goal as an educator is to ensure the safety of all children in her care and to provide a positive learning community classroom based on respect and love of learning. Awilda is a true team player and is supportive of all.

She believes children learn best when their social-emotional needs are met, and they are free to explore the world in ways that have meaning to them.
