WELCOME! Tommy and Ann Chamakala are excited to introduce themselves as the Goddard School of McKinney (Honey Creek) owners. Although they embark on this journey as a husband and wife team, Tommy will be the on-site owner and operator, with Ann as his support. As parents of two beautiful girls (ages 4 and 2), Tommy & Ann recognize the importance of a safe and nurturing learning environment, which is why they chose The Goddard School, both as a school for their daughters and as a school to bring to the McKinney community. After enrolling their daughters in The Goddard School of Celina, Tommy & Ann became believers in the program, philosophy, and how much of an impact it has had on their girls. They are proud to offer the opportunity for children to grow through exploration and hands-on learning. Opening The Goddard School is the next milestone in their professional career. Tommy's family moved to McKinney in 1996, and Tommy graduated from McKinney High School. After earning his Bachelor's degree in Education and his Master's degree in Educational Leadership, he returned to McKinney to teach in the same school district where he was a student. Tommy has been a Teacher, an Assistant Principal in Coppell ISD, as well as the Head of Human Resources and Talent Acquisition for a Charter Network in Dallas. Ann started her career as a Teacher in the Chicago Public School system; she earned her degree in Teaching from Loyola University and earned her Master's in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Texas at Arlington. Teaching is her passion, and she is completing her 11th year as a Teacher, currently in Frisco ISD. When the opportunity knocked on their door to open a Goddard School in McKinney, Tommy and Ann felt it was a great way to give back to the community that gave him so much. They are eager to introduce you to the incredible faculty and look forward to meeting with you about the School's high-quality learning program.

We are excited to have our Director, Mrs. Wendy join our team. Mrs. Wendy has taught since 2016 and has a dual Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education and Psychology. She loves teaching to make a difference and is inspired by the way children see the world with such awe and amazement. Her goal is to ensure every child feels seen, safe, and heard. Her favorite children's book is Goodnight Gorilla and The Napping House. A fun fact about Mrs. Wendy is she is originally from South Africa.

We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Melynne to our Goddard team as our new Assistant Director. Mrs. Melynne has been teaching since 2014 and has her BBA in Marketing as well as her CDA. She believes it is important for every child to have the opportunity to explore the world around them in a safe and informative way. Mrs. Melynne’s favorite children’s book is “Green Eggs and Ham.” A fun fact about Mrs. Melynne is she lived in Hawaii for 7 years and has two fur babies.

Mrs. Patti is a fantastic teacher here at Honey Creek and has been teaching for over 20 years. She has her bachelor's degree in education from Michigan State University and loves working with all ages and classrooms. She wants to help them thrive in a nurturing and loving environment. Mrs. Patti's favorite book is Guess How Much I Love You, by Sam McBratney and a fun fact about her is she loves college football!

We are thrilled to have Ms. Alejandra join our Goddard team. Ms. Alejandra has been teaching since 2021. She has her B.A. in Child Development and Family Studies from Cal State Long Beach. Her favorite children’s book is, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar.” And a fun fact about Ms. Alejandra is that she likes going to local city events.

We are grateful to have Mrs. Deepa join our Goddard team and work in the preschool wing. Mrs. Deepa has been teaching since March 21’ and has a Master’s Degree. She loves working with children because they spread positivity, and she wants to help them grow into confident, independent children. Her favorite children’s book is “Charlotte’s Web,” and her hobbies are cooking and painting.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Elaine to our Goddard team. She has been teaching since 2014 and went to Teachers College at Columbia University. She is passionate about teaching and loves being around little ones. Her favorite children’s book is “Every Book is Not a Book.” And a fun fact about Mrs. Elaine is she has had many pets since she was a kid.

Ms. Sheika has been such a positive and happy presence in our school since she started with us! She has been teaching since 2008 and has recently moved here from Arizona. She loves teaching because she knows she can make a difference and help all young children grow. Her favorite children’s book is Pete the Cat, and she loves dancing!

We are so blessed to have Ms. Madison join our school. Ms. Madison has been teaching since 2020, and she is passionate about the health and safety of our children and being a positive influence in their lives. She gets joy from seeing them smile and learn every day. She is currently in school to be a Nurse and the University of North Texas. Her favorite children’s series is Pete the Cat.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Kayli to our Goddard team. She has been teaching since 2021 and is currently pursuing her undergrad at Prairie View A&M University. She wants to teach because she really enjoys having the ability to watch children grow and create their own personalities. Ms. Kayli’s favorite children’s book is The Cate in the Hat. And a fun fact about Ms. Kayli is she was on the drill team in high school and served as a Senior Lieutenant.

Mrs. Shannon is a wonderful addition to our Goddard School. She has been teaching since 2003 and loves teaching because it gives her so much joy! She loves watching kids learn, gain confidence, and socialize with their peers. Her favorite children’s book is I Wanna Iguana, Our Tree Named Steve, and Cookies- Bite-Size Life Lessons. Mrs. Shannon will be helping in our Toddler classrooms.

Mrs. Corrie is joining our Goddard team and has 20+ years of experience as a teacher. She has her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education and loves working with children because they make her life happy. Mrs. Corrie’s favorite book is If you Give a Mouse a Cookie, and she loves doing outdoor activities with her family, especially hiking. Mrs. Corrie will be in our Pre-school classrooms.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Bella to our Goddard team. She will be working in our toddler hallway and has been teaching since 2019. She loves to teach because she is expanding the minds of the children to be able to communicate and express themselves more efficiently. Ms. Bella’s favorite children’s book is “Pete the Cat.” And a fun fact about Ms. Bella is she loves to sing and dance as well as the color red.

We are happy to welcome Ms. Heer to our Goddard team. Ms. Heer is currently working on her Speech, Hearing, & Language Science Major at UTD. She started teaching in 2023 to help create a positive impact on young people's lives and show that learning is fun. Her favorite children’s book is, “Polar Bear and the Rainbow.” And a fun fact about Ms. Heer is she loves Chai Tea.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Aislynne to our Goddard Team. Ms. Aislynne has been teaching since May 2022 and is pursuing her degree at Collin College & Texas State. She became a teacher to help future generations learn and grow. And to be someone a child can rely on and trust. Her favorite children’s book is “Oh the Places You’ll Go,” and a fun fact about Ms. Aislynne is that she’s a twin.

We are excited to have Mrs. Ashley join our Goddard team in the infant classroom. Mrs. Ashley has her bachelor’s degree and became a teacher because she loves watching children learn new things. Her favorite children’s book is “Charlotte’s Web” and a fun fact about Mrs. Ashley is her favorite household chore is laundry.

We are excited to be welcoming Ms. Deirdre to our team. She has been teaching since 2022. She loves spending time with kids and teaching them new things. Her favorite book is “A Bad Case of Stripes,” and she loves her dogs.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Geetha to our Goddard team, where she will be working in our Pre-K classroom. Mrs. Geetha has been teaching since 2009 and has her M. Tech degree. She loves teaching because you can see the student’s growth each day in the classroom. Her favorite children’s books are “Pet the Cat” and “Peppa the Pig.” A fun fact about Mrs. Geetha is she is not a good swimmer but loves to try anyway.

We are grateful to have Mrs. Inez join our Goddard team. She has twenty-five years of experience in childcare and has her injury prevention and child safety certificate. Mrs. Inez loves teaching because she enjoys helping students reach their next milestones. A fun fact about Mrs. Inez is that she was born and raised in New Orleans and has 7 children and 19 grandchildren. She also likes to do arts and crafts and try new restaurants with friends and family.

We are excited to announce Mrs. Shabana! Mrs. Shabana has been teaching since 2019, and she moved here from Kent, Washington, where she worked at a Goddard! She loves kids and loves to watch them grow and learn. She has three kids of her own, and her favorite children's book series was Clifford the Big Red Dog.

We are excited to be welcoming Mrs. Anitha to our toddler wing. She loves to teach because teaching children how to read and learn will change their lives. Mrs. Anitha has her MbccA degree, and her favorite children’s book is “The Princes Story.”

We are thrilled to welcome Mrs. Swathi to our Goddard team. Mrs. Swathi has been teaching since 2016 and has her MBA degree. She strives to excel and attain a better role in the education system each day and has a passion for working with kids. Mrs. Swathi’s favorite children’s book is “Snow White.” A fun fact about Mrs. Swathi is she likes to keep herself up to date with comics and games so she can relate with the kids in her class.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Cindy to our Goddard team to work in our preschool hallway. Mrs. Cindy has been teaching since 2005 and has her associate degree. Mrs. Cindy loves teaching, so she can help provide a way for little minds to continue to learn and grow. Her favorite children’s books are the Elephant and Piggie series. And a fun fact about Mrs. Cindy is she likes to travel and learn from other countries.

We are excited to be welcoming Mrs. Victoria to our team. She has been teaching since 2017. It has always been her passion and dream to be a teacher because she gets to help shape her student's future and prepare them for it. Her favorite children’s book is “Where the Wild Things Are,” and Mrs. Victoria loves anything Disney.

We are happy to welcome Ms. Isabelle to our Goddard team. Ms. Isabelle has been teaching since 2023 and started teaching so she can help every child feel as if everything they do matters and they have a voice. Ms. Isabelle’s favorite children’s book is, “Goodnight Moon.” And a fun fact about Ms. Isabelle is she loves to read and write poetry.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Mariah to our Goddard team. Ms. Mariah has been teaching since 2023 and joined the education field because, as a kid, school was her happy place, and she wants to make it that way for other kids as well. Her favorite children’s book is, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.” And a fun fact about Ms. Mariah is she has watched the Harry Potter series at least 5x all the way through.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Taylor to our Goddard team. Ms. Taylor is currently studying at TWU for her Early Childhood degree and joined the education field because she loves teaching children and watching their young minds grow. Her favorite children’s book is, “If You Give a Mouse a Cookie.” And a fun fact about Ms. Taylor is that she loves to travel she has visited over 20 states and has been to 3 countries.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Brenda to our Goddard team. Ms. Brenda is currently studying for her Psychology degree and pursuing a career in child counseling. She joined the education field because she wants to get kids engaged with learning new things every day! Her favorite children’s book is, “Skippyjon Jones.” And a fun fact about Ms. Brenda is that she used to ride horses and loves playing soccer.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Monika to our Goddard team. Mrs. Monika has her Masters of Arts degree with a focus in political science. She joined the education field because she has a genuine love of learning and wants to share her knowledge and enthusiasm with others. She also aspires to positively influence the lives of the students. Her favorite children’s book is “Kindness Starts with You” and a fun fact about Mrs. Monika is that she loves cooking and traveling to explore new places.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Chandra to our Goddard team. Ms. Chandra has her Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and is currently working toward her Texas Elementary Teacher certification. She joined the education field because she wants to give children a space that is safe and comfortable and let every student be heard. Her favorite children’s book is “Brown Bear, Brown Bear” and a fun fact about Mrs. Chandra is that she used to live in China and attended middle and high school there.

We are excited to welcome Ms. Nicolette to our Goddard team. Ms. Nicolette has her Associate's degree in Culinary & Pastry Arts and is excited to join our team and prepare meals and special snacks for the students. She joined the education field because she has always had a passion for helping others and loves surrounding herself with the happiness the children bring. Her favorite children’s book is “Winnie the Pooh” and a fun fact about Ms. Nicolette is that she loves traveling and camping to discover new things in different places.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Priya to our Goddard team. Mrs. Priya has her Bachelor's of Technology degree with a focus in Electronics & Communications. She joined the education field because spending time with children makes her happy and she wishes for students to have fun while learning. Her favorite children’s books are the “Pete the Cat” stories and a fun fact about Mrs. Priya is that she loves to play children's games and feels like she becomes a child herself when she plays them.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Yogita to our Goddard team. Mrs. Yogita has her Bachelor of Education & Science and is excited to join our team. She joined the education field because teaching is her passion and allows her to be a mentor for students. She also believes teaching leads self-development and keeps her updated with the current education studies of society. Her favorite children’s book is “The Way Things Work” by David McCaulay and a fun fact about Mrs. Yogita is that she loves hiking, music, and listening to podcasts.

She joined the education field because she wants to make a positive impact on the lives of students and she enjoys the creativity that education provides her. Her favorite children’s book is “Charlotte’s Web” and a fun fact about Mrs. Meena is that she is a fun loving person who loves going on trips with her family.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Nayna to our Goddard team. Mrs. Nayna has her Bachelor of Science in education and is excited to join our team. She joined the education field because she loves being around children and she believes it is the early years of a child’s life is where they learn the most. Her favorite children’s book is any book that makes a child smile. A fun fact about Mrs. Nayna is she loves spending time with her family and preparing meals from scratch.
