  • We really like everything, but something that stands out the most to us is how personable the entire staff is to both of our boys, and my husband and me. Teachers who have never had our boys in their classrooms, know them by name, and greet them with a warm smile, without fail, every single time.

Bernie’s Book Bank collects, processes and distributes quality new and gently used children’s books to significantly increase book ownership among at-risk infants, toddlers and school-age children throughout Chicagoland.

EXCELERATE ILLINOIS

ExceleRate Illinois recognizes a program's commitment to quality beyond the basic state licensing requirements (which cover seven broad areas including staffing, programming, health, safety and hygiene).  The Silver Circle of Quality recognizes completion of a rigorous self-assessment and implementation of a continuous quality improvement process, as verified by a state-approved assessor.

ECO-FRIENDLY SANITIZATION METHODS

The Goddard School uses high-tech sanitization devices that remove 99.9% of common bacteria and viruses from classroom objects, such as toys. The eco-friendly devices use ozone created from ambient air and less than half an ounce of water to sanitize hard and soft items without exposing them to chemicals.

Let’s Move! Child Care is a nationwide call-to-action that empowers child care and early education providers to make positive health changes in children that could last a lifetime. It encourages and supports providers making positive changes in their programs to help children develop healthy habits and recognizes providers who meet best practices in five healthy goal areas: nurture healthy eaters, provide healthy beverages, get kids moving, reduce screen time and support breastfeeding.
